  • Patent number: 7141795
Abstract: An elongated, thinner apparatus is provided so as to measure surface contamination in narrow places and piping. An elongated plate-shaped radioactivity detection section (10) provided with a scintillator and a radioactivity measuring section (12) provided with a photomultiplier are provided as independent components and are connected together using a wavelength conversion optical fiber cable (14). A measurement signal (optical signal) of ?-rays detected by the radioactivity detection section is transmitted to the radioactivity measuring section via the optical fiber cable.

  • Publication number: 20060067809
Abstract: A storage shelf 4 is provided which has, for example, two rotatable mounts 18, 19. A notch 41 is formed in the mount 18 so that a cassette 34 can be freely transferred between the lower mount 19 and an overhead travelling carriage 8. ID readers 6 are provided on poles 16, 17 of the mounts 18, 19, respectively. Thus, the ID 36 of the cassette is read and memorized in a storage shelf file 13. The IDs of stored articles can be managed, resulting in advanced operations.

  • Publication number: 20050205794
Abstract: An apparatus is provided which is capable of directly and efficiently measuring surface contamination of objects to be measured having curved surfaces such as inner and outer surfaces of pipes without the need for cutting pipes, etc. This radioactivity measuring apparatus comprises a radioactivity detection section 10 and a radioactivity measuring section 12 arranged separately and connected together via cables 14. The radioactivity detection section has a structure in which a plurality of elongated plate-shaped radioactivity detection units 16 are arranged in the width direction and connected together in a detachable manner using connecting fittings 18. Each of the connecting fittings is formed in such a way that it is bent at angles between surfaces of parts thereof on which the respective radioactivity detection units are mounted corresponding to the shape of the surface to be measured.

  • Patent number: 6816157
Abstract: A computer which displays display data inputted from another computer, while the saving of the electric power is accomplished, includes: a display controller which outputs a first RGB signal; a first control circuit to which electric power, receiving the first RGB signal and a second RGB signal from another personal computer and outputs the first RGB signal or the second RGB signal; an LCD unit which receives the first RBG signal or the second RGB signal; a second control circuit, detecting that the second RGB signal is inputted to the first control circuit; and a power supply circuit always powering the first and second control circuits. The second control circuit controls the first control circuit to output the second RGB signal to the LCD unit and controls the power supply circuit to supply electric power to the LCD unit, when the second control circuit detects that the second RGB signal is inputted to the first control circuit.

  • Patent number: 6700125
Abstract: A radioactive dust monitor comprising a dust collecting electrode serving also as a radiation detecting surface, an ionization line extending in air in a spaced relation with the dust collecting electrode and a radiation detection part. The radiation detection part is provided with a scintillator disposed close to said dust collecting electrode and a photoelectric conversion part converting light emitted from the scintillator into an electric signal. Dust in air is collected by the dust collecting electrode due to a corona discharge which is generated by applying a negative high voltage to the ionization line and by applying a positive high voltage to the dust collecting electrode, and light emitted from the scintillator due to radioactive rays radiated from the collected radioactive dust is detected by the photoelectric conversion part.

  • Publication number: 20030127410
Abstract: The present invention provides an overhead travelling carriage with a hoist which suppresses transmission of vibration to an article during conveyance. A chuck mechanism 10 is provided in a hoist 7 to support the top of an article 4. A fall preventing mechanism 14 is provided to prevent the article 4 supported by the chuck mechanism 14 from falling. Movable members 18 are provided which can move in a horizontal direction so as to advance toward and retreat from the housed article 4. Each of the movable members 18 has an L-shaped side cross section that extends so as to cross the direction in which it advances and retreats. A horizontal portion 18a of the movable portion 18 acts as means for preventing the article from falling. Rubber dampers 19 are provided on that surface of a vertical portion 18a of the movable member which is closer to the article 4, so as to constitute members pressed against the article 4.
