  • Publication number: 20140345149
Abstract: A chainsaw having improved cutting workability is provided. A chainsaw is used to cut an object to be worked by a saw chain. A chainsaw main body is provided with an electric motor and a sprocket, and a guide bar around which the saw chain is wound is provided on the chainsaw main body. The guide bar is attached to the chainsaw main body by a screw member serving as an attaching member. A load sensor detects whether or not the guide bar is attached to the chainsaw main body. Rotation of the saw chain is prohibited based upon a signal from the load sensor when the guide bar is not attached to the chainsaw main body.

  • Publication number: 20140047719
Abstract: In a hedge trimmer, a main body is configured of: a main body front portion on a front side (a side on which the cutting blade protrudes); a main body rear portion on a rear side; and a supporting portion for connecting them on a lower side. One end of a main handle and the other end of the same are connected to an upper portion of the main body front portion on the rear end side and an upper portion of the main body rear portion on the front end side. The main handle has a linear shape in parallel to a longitudinal direction of a cutting blade. In this configuration, the main handle is set in substantially parallel to the supporting portion, and a grip space is formed between the main handle and the supporting portion.

  • Patent number: 6037699
Abstract: The invention provides a surface acoustic wave device which has a thin film formed on a surface of a substrate adapted to excite longitudinal wave-type surface acoustic waves, longitudinal wave-type quasi surface acoustic waves or longitudinal wave-type surface skimming bulk waves to thereby give an increased electromechanical coupling coefficient and at the same time minimize the temperature coefficient of delay time. For example, in a surface acoustic wave device having an aluminum thin film formed on a surface of a lithium tantalate substrate, the direction of propagation of longitudinal wave-type quasi surface acoustic waves is (40 deg to 90 deg, 40 deg to 90 deg, 0 deg to 60 deg) as expressed in Eulerian angles and within a range equivalent thereto, and the product of wave number of longitudinal wave-type quasi surface acoustic waves and the thickness of the thin film is at least 1.0, preferably in the range of 1.3 to 2.0. The device provided exhibits higher performance than in the paior art.

  • Patent number: 5854527
Abstract: The surface acoustic wave device of the invention comprises a piezoelectric substrate of lithium niobate or lithium tantalate and electrodes formed on the substrate for propagating surface acoustic waves. The substrate has a cut plane and a surface acoustic wave propagation direction which are (.phi., .theta., .psi.) as expressed in Eulerian angles and within ranges substantially equivalent thereto. When the substrate is made of lithium niobate, .phi., .theta. and .psi. are 0.degree.-86.degree. or 95.degree.-180.degree., 73.degree.-118.degree. and 0.degree.-44.degree., respectively. When the substrate is made of lithium tantalate, .phi., .theta. and .psi. are 0.degree.-87.degree. or 91.degree.-180.degree., 80.degree.-120.degree. and 0.degree.-44.degree., respectively. This enables the device to exhibit high performance.

  • Patent number: 5719537
Abstract: In a resonator-type surface acoustic wave filter comprising a lithium tantalate substrate, lithium niobate substrate or lithium tetraborate substrate having a cut plane of high velocity, the direction of propagation of surface acoustic waves is set within the range of (40 deg to 90 deg, 40 deg to 90 deg, 0 deg to 60 deg) as expressed in Eulerian angles, and the frequency difference .increment.f between the resonance frequency frs of series resonators and the resonance frequency frp of parallel resonators is set within a predetermined range formulated with the center frequency, the capacitance Cos of the series resonators and the capacitance Cop of the parallel resonators taken as parameters. Optimum ranges of the required design parameters are thus clarified to assure the resonator-type surface acoustic wave filter of higher performance.
