  • Publication number: 20060236971
Abstract: In a variable air induction apparatus, a valve element is switched between one side to open a first air intake passage and close a second air intake passage, and the other side to open the second air intake passage and to close the first air intake passage. The first air intake passage and the second air intake passage have lengths different from each other. The valve element is fixed on a shaft member to rotate integrally with the shaft. A driving device applies a driving force to rotate the shaft member. An urging device urges the shaft member to rotate the valve element to be switched to any one of the one side and the other side.

  • Publication number: 20060189196
Abstract: The present invention provides a board fixing device not having an arm portion along a side edge of a printed circuit board. In a connector having spring contacts forming a contact point row in a direction perpendicular to the insertion direction of a board, when one end of said board is rotated in a direction whereby the spring contacts are pressed while being put into contact with the said spring contacts, during the insertion of the printed circuit board into said connector, and the other end of the opposing printed circuit board is made to approach said board fixing device, a printed circuit board having a corresponding notched portion on its edge portion engages a stabilizing piece formed in a perpendicular direction from one surface of the base portion, and at the same time, engages a protruding portion protruding from said base portion, and is fixed against the driving force of the said spring contacts.

  • Patent number: 6644980
Abstract: Problem to be Solved Allowing mounting of a hard disc drive on a substrate without useless open space remaining on the substrate, and allowing miniaturization of the substrate. Means to Solve the Problem A connector structure providing a female connector 10 fixed to a substrate B and a male connector 20 provided on a hard disc drive D to be mounted on the substrate B, wherein grooves 12 that open continuously on the upper surface 11b and the side surface 11c thereof are provided formed substantially perpendicular to said substrate B on the female connector 10, and at the same time, female contacts 13 are provided inside these grooves 12, male contacts 22 that engage the female contacts 13 are provided so as to protrude sideways from the hard disc drive D, the hard disc drive D is brought into contact to the substrate from above, and by this process, the male contacts 22 are inserted into the grooves 12 and engages with the female contacts 13.

  • Patent number: 6584946
Abstract: In an intake manifold, a resin intake air introduction portion has a semicircular lower intake pipe, a volume chamber and joints provided in the volume chamber at opposite sides and along an axis of the lower intake pipe. An aluminum intake air distribution portion has a semicircular upper intake pipe, which is combined with the lower intake conduit to constitute an intake conduit, and distribution pipes extending alternately in opposite directions so as to cross an axis of the upper intake pipe. The aluminum intake air distribution portion overlaps the resin intake air introduction portion on a side opposite to the engine. Each end of the distribution pipes is connected to the joints and each another end thereof is fixed to the engine. The lower intake pipe is provided in an axial center thereof with a communication bore through which intake air is supplied from the intake conduit via the volume chamber, the joints and the distribution pipes to the engine.

  • Patent number: 5571239
Abstract: A noise control apparatus has a thermal-type air flow meter for detecting engine load, an engine speed sensor for detecting engine speed, and an intake temperature sensor for detecting intake temperature. The engine load is detected based on the surging components of the signal from the air flow meter. An intake pipe is provided with a speaker that produces a noise control wave in accordance with a control signal from a controller. The controller has a memory that stores map data for noise control waves that are equal in sound pressure but opposite in phase with respect to intake noise. The map data regarding sound pressure and phase correspond to the engine load and speed on the basis of a reference temperature.
