  • Patent number: 9376984
Abstract: A cooling structure for an internal combustion engine includes a spacer. The spacer is fitted inside a water jacket which is formed to surround peripheries of a plurality of cylinder bores arranged one after another on a cylinder row line of a cylinder block of the internal combustion engine. A cooling condition of the cylinder bores is controlled by regulating a flow of cooling water in the water jacket by use of the spacer. A fixing member for fixing the spacer inside the water jacket is provided on an inner wall surface of the spacer facing the cylinder bores.

  • Patent number: 8919302
Abstract: A spacer arranged inside a water jacket which is formed to surround peripheries of cylinder bores in a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine includes support legs extending in an up-and-down direction from a spacer main body part which partitions the water jacket into an upper and lower cooling water passages. The support legs are disposed in opposite end portions in a cylinder row line direction, where the temperatures of the cylinder bores tend to be lower. Accordingly, even if the flow of cooling water is more or less inhibited by the support legs and the cooling effect deteriorates, it is possible to prevent the temperatures of the respective cylinder bores from becoming different by suppressing the influence to a minimum.

  • Patent number: 8763568
Abstract: A spacer fitted inside a water jacket of a cylinder block in an internal combustion engine is set so that a space formed between an inner peripheral surface of the spacer and an inner wall surface of the water jacket is smaller than a space formed between an outer peripheral surface of the spacer and an outer wall surface of the water jacket. Accordingly, even if a position of the spacer is shifted in a radial direction, the inner peripheral surface of the spacer comes into abutment on the inner wall surface of the water jacket at first. Thereby, the abutment of the outer peripheral surface of the spacer on the outer wall surface of the water jacket is prevented completely. Therefore, hitting sounds of pistons can be blocked by the space between the outer peripheral surface of the spacer and the outer wall surface of the water jacket.

  • Patent number: 8365695
Abstract: An intake manifold M for an internal combustion engine has two or more structural members P1 to P3 including a first structural member P1 integrally provided with an inlet flange 22 to which a throttle device 4 is connected, and an outlet flange 40 to be joined to a cylinder head 2 provided with intake ports 5. The first structural member P1 is provided integrally with an inlet part 21 forming at least part of an inlet passage 11 and including the inlet flange 22. The outlet flange 40 is formed integrally with the inlet part 21 so as to extend across a direction in which the inlet passage 11 extends, two bolts 451 and 452 for fastening the outlet flange 40 to the cylinder head are disposed respectively on the opposite sides of the inlet passage 11. The rigidity of the inlet flange and fastening of the outlet flange to the cylinder head by fastening means improves a vibration reducing effect on a throttle device joined to the inlet flange.

  • Publication number: 20100289891
Abstract: In a board inspection system, a line sensor of a first scanning unit scans, via a telecentric lens, the image of the surface to be inspected on a board, viewed in a perpendicular direction. A line sensor of a second scanning unit scans the image of the surface to be inspected on the board, viewed at an angle, which is tilted toward a first direction by a first angle ? from the direction perpendicular to the surface to be inspected. A line sensor of a third scanning unit scans the image of the surface to be inspected on the board, viewed at an angle, which is tilted toward a second direction by a second angle ? from the direction perpendicular to the surface to be inspected. A determination unit computes the height of the surface to be inspected on the board with use of image data acquired by a first scanning unit, a second scanning unit, and a third scanning unit.

  • Patent number: 7751611
Abstract: An appearance inspection apparatus for inspecting a board is provided with multiple imaging units for capturing respective images of the board. Multiple slave personal computers respectively provided for the multiple imaging units inspect the board by referring to data of images of the board captured by the respective imaging units. Each of the multiple slave personal computers transmits, to other slave personal computers, shared data that are necessary for inspection by other slave personal computers. The shared data is acquired by each of the slave personal computers from data of an image of the inspection piece captured by an associated imaging unit. Each of the slave personal computers inspects an appearance of the board by referring to the shared data received from another slave personal computer.
