Abstract: Disclosed is a location-based service method using location information of a mobile terminal in a mobile communication system. In a location-based service providing method, second mobile terminals within a predetermined range of a first mobile terminal are searched for, status information and relative location information of one or more second mobile terminals found is collected, and display data comprising the relative locations and status information of the one or more second mobile terminals found is sent to the first mobile terminal.
