Abstract: A three-dimensional motion graphical user interface and an apparatus and a method of providing the same are provided. The apparatus for providing a three-dimensional motion graphical user interface includes a creation module which creates a polyhedral object having a face on which first information to be communicated to a user is displayed; a display module which displays the created polyhedral object; and an interface module which displays second information, which corresponds to a face of the displayed polyhedral object selected by the user, on a projected surface formed separately from the displayed polyhedral object.

Abstract: A mobile communication terminal and a method for outputting a short message thereof are provided. The mobile communication terminal according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a short message interpretation unit which extracts a phone number of a sender from a header of a short message, a short message processing unit which obtains an image mapped to the extracted phone number and generates a screen on which the image is combined with the text of the short message, a mapping unit which maps the image to the phone number of the sender, a storage unit which stores the phone number of the sender and the image and an output unit which outputs the screen.

Abstract: A slidable input device and a portable apparatus including the same, in which objects arranged in three-dimension or the size of a specific object can be easily manipulated and controlled. The portable apparatus includes an input unit for generating a key-selection signal corresponding to up, down, right or left directions selected by a user and a movement signal corresponding to a direction to which the input unit is moved by the user through an external force; a signal input unit for receiving the key selection signal and the movement signal generated by the input unit; a control unit for carrying out a predetermined operation indicated by the key selection signal and the movement signal inputted by the signal input unit; and a display unit for displaying the object according to the predetermined operation on a screen.
