  • Publication number: 20070035659
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for processing a video signal are provided, in which a video signal for an interlaced scanning mode is received that has a first field and a second field. Further, a determination is performed as to whether the first field and the second field are inverted with respect to each other, and the first field and the second field are recovered if the first field and the second field are determined to be inverted with respect to each other. Thus, a video signal can be generated for a progressive scanning mode on the basis of the recovered first and second fields. Thus, an odd field can be correctly distinguished from an even field, which are included in a video signal for an interlaced scanning mode.

  • Publication number: 20050225547
Abstract: A display system includes a host that provides digital data, and a display that processes and displays the digital data, wherein the host and display are connected by connectors. The connectors generate a sensing signal that differs according to whether the host and the display are connected or disconnected. A host controller determines whether the display is authenticated by high-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP), interrupts a digital data transmission when an HDCP authentication error occurs, and restarts the digital data transmission upon determining that the display changes to a connection state from a disconnection state based on the sensing signal. A display controller outputs the sensing signal to allow the host controller to determine a state of the display is as if the display is changed to a connection state from a disconnection state, when the display is in an error state causing the HDCP authentication error.

  • Patent number: 6943538
Abstract: An apparatus for and a method of measuring, in real-time, and indicating power consumption of a product powered by a switching mode power supply (SMPS). Power is supplied to the product through a transformer having a predetermined primary coil inductance, wherein a current of a primary coil of the transformer is turned ON and OFF by pulse-width modulation to supply the power to the electronic device. A drive voltage across the primary coil is monitored and a pulse waveform having a first level corresponding to an ON time of the current in the primary coil and a second level corresponding to an OFF time of the current in the primary coil is developed. Power consumption is calculated based on the drive voltage, the ON time of the current in the primary coil, the predetermined primary coil inductance, and a switching frequency of a pulse width modulator of the SMPS.
