    Abstract: A pill sample illustrator has a two rectangular, transparent plastic sheets that come together to enclose pill samples and a medical chart. These sheets provide a single row of individual pill sample receiving spaces for the pill samples along one side of the illustrator and a larger adjacent space for the medical chart. The medical chart contains bands extending from the pill sample receiving spaces to the opposite side of the illustrator. Each band contains indicia for relating to a pill sample in a corresponding one of the pill receiving spaces. The pill sample illustrator also forms a lid for a box that contains supplies of the pills that are to be taken by a patient.

    Abstract: The box is rectangular and has a hinged lid for opening and closing the top. The bottom of the box has storage space for pill bottles and above this storage space, a ledge on which a weekly pill container box rests. The weekly pill container box contains a week's supply of pills in daily compartments and has a unique arrangement of doors for opening and closing the compartments. The box has a unique arrangement of compartments. It also contains a cassette recorders, windows, and an inner lid which provides a pill display, all for presenting useful information. These features can be used for presenting not only medical information, but other information as well, and the box can be used for other than medical purposes.

    Abstract: Invasive apparatus such as IV tubes, Foley catheters, arterial sheaths, Swan Ganz catheters, nasogastric tubes, or wires of temporary pacemakers are held externally on the body proximate the invasion site by a wrapping unit that has a wrap encircling a portion of the body, a support on the wrap, a cradle in the support for receiving a portion of the invasive apparatus, and either a flap, hinged cover, or rotatable latch via which the apparatus is releaseably held in the cradle. Various embodiments are disclosed, including a multi-part support in which one support part is selectively positionable on another and/or separably mounted on the latter. Various forms for the separable mounting are also disclosed. A novel form of Foley catheter is also disclosed. Also disclosed is an adaptor for adapting a conventional invasive device to one that can be received in the cradle of the support of a wrapping unit. The wrapping units are used on various portions of the body.

    Abstract: A romantic greeting card which has several distinct use zones for conveying romantic feelings from the sender to the recipient. One use zone is an adhesive zone that is covered by selectively removable sections of release paper for exposing a desired area of adhesive to be used for mounting a photograph of the sender. Another is a hair-clipping receiving zone also covered by release paper for adhering hair clippings to the card. Other zones are a scent-receiving zone and a greeting message receiving zone. A sticker in the shape of a bow may be used to mount hair clippings to the card.

    Abstract: After intervention of the vessels in the groin, a routine procedure is to apply pressure by a sand bag to prevent bleeding.The device of the present invention is a better solution for this problem. It consists of a wrap which covers the groin area to support a specifically shaped pressure balloon when it is inflated. The balloon is inside a cover and the pressure inside it can easily be changed and monitored. A mesh inside a plastic tube may help to watch for bleeding. By using this wrap, a patient no longer need be motionless, and may even be allowed to stand if needed.

    Abstract: An enclosure formed by a pan and a cover is divided into an upper steam chamber and a lower hot water chamber by a perforate partition. Steam rises through the perforate partition from the hot water chamber to the steam chamber. The cover has a nose aperture into which a user places the nose to inhale steam from the steam chamber. The steam chamber is selectively communicated to the surrounding space on its exterior to control the direction and the amount of airflow between the steam chamber and the exterior. The amount is controlled by a multi-apertured disk on the exterior and the direction by a slide on the interior which can select either bi-directional flow or uni-directional flow in the direction into the chamber.
