  • Publication number: 20040250789
Abstract: A lubricating structure for engines, wherein an oil feed pump and an oil recovery pump are disposed so as to avoid interference between the oil feed and recovery pumps and a clutch mechanism and an increase in the size of the engine. The clutch mechanism 38 is disposed at a location toward a left end of a crankshaft 7 as an output shaft 7a, which is rotatably supported between an upper crankcase 5 and a lower crankcase 6, that is, disposed on a left side of an engine room. A magnet cover 60 is fixed to right side parts of the two crankcases 5, 6. A magnet MG is disposed between the two crankcases 5, 6 and the magnet cover 60 at a location toward a right end 7b of the crankshaft 7. An oil pump FEP for feeding lubricating oil is disposed between the two crankcases 5, 6 and the magnet cover 60, and an oil pump SCP for recovering lubricating oil is disposed between the two crankcases 5, 6 and the magnet cover 60.

  • Publication number: 20030213627
Abstract: An engine unit is supported by a body frame, and a front body portion is covered with a cowling. This cowling is made wider than the body frame to form a space in the vehicle widthwise direction between the body frame and cowling, and an air cleaner unit is accommodated in this space. The air cleaner unit has a plate-like filter, filter support portion, and filter insertion hole. The attaching direction of the plate-like filter is set in its plate surface direction, and the filter insertion hole is formed in a position corresponding to the end face of the plate-like filter when it is attached. The plate-like filter, the filter support portion, and a lid member divide the air cleaner main body into a clean chamber and dirty chamber.

  • Publication number: 20030210069
Abstract: A signature circuit, i.e., a random-number generating circuit, is provided in a memory test apparatus. Also, a signature circuit is provided in each of devices-under-test. This configuration allows the large number of semiconductor integrated-circuit devices to be tested at one time with a high efficiency. This condition realizes a tremendous reduction in the test cost.

  • Patent number: 6205986
Abstract: A V-type engine has front (first) and rear (second) cylinders being offset to sides opposite from each other. The front (first) and rear (second) carburetors are mounted in alignment with the centers of the front and rear cylinders, respectively. The body of the front carburetor and the body of the rear carburetor are coupled to each other by linkage plates arranged in parallel with the line that joins the center of the front carburetor and that of the rear carburetor. The throttle shaft of the front carburetor and the throttle shaft of the rear carburetor are laid out perpendicular to the linkage plates and coupled to each other by means of a coupling linkage which is in parallel with the linkage plates. A throttle cable is connected to the throttle shaft of the front carburetor.

  • Patent number: 5887673
Abstract: A motorcycle has a head pipe supporting a steering shaft, a pair of bilateral main frame pipes having front ends fixed to the head pipe and extending rearward therefrom, an engine unit disposed below the main frame pipes and having cylinders projecting obliquely forward from an engine casing, an air cleaner covered by an air cleaner casing which is disposed between both the main frame pipes, and intake devices extending upward from the cylinders and having air intake inlet portions inserted into the air cleaner casing. The air cleaner casing has a bottom portion to which a downwardly protruded portion is formed at a rear position of the intake devices, and the main frame pipes are connected through a first coupling member disposed between the intake devices and the protruded portion of the air cleaner casing. The air cleaner casing is formed with a recessed portion at the bottom portion thereof, and the recessed portion has a shape suitable for accommodating the first coupling member.

  • Patent number: 5860405
Abstract: An intake apparatus of an internal combustion engine for a vehicle comprises a duct for taking into a wind during a running of a vehicle, an air cleaner operatively connected to the duct, a fuel supply device for injecting a fuel into an intake air coming from the air cleaner, a movable valve arranged between an outlet port of the duct and an inlet port of the air cleaner, a negative-pressure motor for driving the movable valve, and an electronic control unit for controlling the movable valve. The electronic control unit is connected to an ignition means, and the electronic control unit controls the opening and closing of the movable valve in accordance with a rotational speed of an internal combustion engine, an opening degree of a throttle of the engine and a gear position of the engine as control parameters and carries out a delay angular control of an ignition timing in response to the opening and closing control of the movable valve.
