  • Patent number: 5854628
Abstract: Two window ID plane storages corresponding to two frame buffers store window ID planes consisting of window ID's as window ID information for individual pixels to identify a window pixel by pixel of each frame buffer. An overlapping table storage stores an overlapping table which describes the overlapping relation among individual windows over those frame buffers. A switching section selects a window to be displayed and switches between the frame buffers pixel by pixel, in accordance with the two window ID planes and the contents of the overlapping table. The switching section then supplies the content of the selected frame buffer to a monitor.

  • Patent number: 5111561
Abstract: A spacing ring for placement between a radially inwardly facing annular surface on a first member and a radially outwardly facing annular surface on a second member to maintain the first and second members in predetermined radially spaced relationship. The ring consists of a plurality of matted metal threads formed into an annular configuration. The ring has a radially inwardly facing surface to surroundingly engage the radially outwardly facing annular surface on the second member and a radially outwardly facing surface to be surroundingly engaged by the inwardly facing annular surface of the first member with the radially inwardly facing annular surface on the first member and the radially outwardly facing annular surface on the second member in axially overlapping relationship. The invention also contemplates a method of forming the spacing ring. The wool material is wrapped around an annular surface on a core bar.

  • Patent number: 4880078
Abstract: An exhaust muffler for use with an internal combustion engine has at least one internal suppression chamber, at least one inlet pipe for receiving exhaust gases from the internal combustion engine, and at least one outlet pipe vented to atmosphere. The exhaust muffler comprises a plurailty of component units connected in series with each other and each having the internal suppression chamber. Each of the component units has a casing having an inner layer of a sound-absorbing material which defines the internal suppression chamber, and a connector pipe connected to and extending through the casing, the connector pipe having upstream and downstream ends projecting out of the casing, the connector pipe having at least one opening which opens into the internal suppression chamber.

  • Patent number: 4381330
Abstract: A glass-wool mat is produced from a sheet of glass fibers by heating the surfaces of the sheet to a temperature close to the melting point of glass so that the glass fibers in the surface area have rounded ends and are shrunk so that they are firmly entangled together. Thus, non-irritating surfaces are provided on the mat.
