Publication number: 20140125208Abstract: A motor rotor structure for an electric turbo charger is manufactured at low cost with good quality by fixedly fitting, over a shaft, a rotor core having electromagnetic steel sheets pre-formed as an integrated stack. The rotor structure includes a rotor core which is rotated by a magnetic field formed by a stator in a housing; a shaft configured to rotate a compressor impeller and the rotor core together; and a bearing supporting the shaft. The rotor includes the rotor core including the electromagnetic steel sheets; a stopper portion formed at an intermediate portion of the shaft to restrict axial movement of the rotor core; and a pressing unit which presses the rotor core fitted over the shaft against the stopper portion. The pressing unit prevents a circumferential phase shift between the shaft and the rotor core by a pressing force thereof.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 4, 2012Publication date: May 8, 2014Applicant: MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES, LTD.Inventors: Yukio Yamashita, Noriyuki Hayashi, Seiichi Ibaraki, Katsuyuki Osako, Motoki Ebisu, Byeongil An, Hiroshi Suzuki, Hideaki Arita, Takashi Goto, Toshihiko Miyake

Patent number: 8536722Abstract: In a wind turbine generator, the rotation of the rotor is speeded up by a hydraulic pump and a hydraulic motor and is transferred to a synchronous generator. In a state in which the wind turbine generator is interconnected to a utility grid, and the synchronous generator reaches a synchronous speed, if no mechanical power is transferred to the synchronous generator, a wind-turbine control system operates the synchronous generator as a synchronous condenser, thus controlling the magnitude of the field current of the synchronous generator. Thus, the wind turbine generator can supply reactive power to the utility grid without adding new equipment, such as a reactive power compensator using a semiconductor switch.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2013Date of Patent: September 17, 2013Assignee: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Tsuyoshi Wakasa, Hisanobu Shinoda, Hidekazu Ichinose, Yukio Yamashita, Takatoshi Matsushita

Publication number: 20120205912Abstract: A wind-turbine control device controls a wind turbine generator in which a rotor having a plurality of blades receives wind and rotates. The generator generates electrical power through the rotation of the rotor. The electrical power is supplied to a utility grid, and electric energy to be supplied to the utility grid can be changed according to a change in the frequency of the utility grid. The wind-turbine control device includes a subtracter to calculate a frequency change, which is the difference between a measurement value of the frequency of generated output power of the wind turbine generator and a set value of the frequency of the generated output power of the wind turbine generator. The wind-turbine control device further includes a limiter to limit a change in the electrical power corresponding to the frequency change calculated by the subtracter, based on the rotational speed of the generator.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 24, 2012Publication date: August 16, 2012Applicant: MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES, LTD.Inventors: Tsuyoshi WAKASA, Hisanobu SHINODA, Masayuki HASHIMOTO, Yukio YAMASHITA, Takehiro NAKA, Akira YASUGI, Takumi NAKASHIMA

Publication number: 20120121447Abstract: Inside of a gas-tight housing, an electric motor, an inverter and a compressor are housed. Further, an intake air pipe is connected to the gas-tight housing. Inside of the gas-tight housing, an intake air flow passage is formed. Further, a connection opening of an outside air induction pipe provided with a flow rate regulating valve is arranged so as to face a suction opening of a compressor. When the delivery air flow rate as well as the delivery air pressure of the compressor is reduced due to the pressure loss and the like of the intake air ‘a’ which passes through the air flow passage and cools the electric motor and the inverter, an outside air ‘o’ of low temperature is induced so that: the capacity shortage as well as the performance deterioration of the compressor is constrained; and the over-heating of the compressor is constrained.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2011Publication date: May 17, 2012Applicant: MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES, LTD.Inventors: Noriyuki Hayashi, Yukio Yamashita
