  • Publication number: 20140232355
Abstract: A charger is configured to charge a power storage device. An ECU is configured to control charging of the power storage device by the charger. While charging of the power storage device is not executed, the ECU operates in a sleep mode in which power consumption is smaller than that in a wakeup mode in which charging control is being executed, until a pilot signal is detected. After charging of the power storage device is ended, the ECU operates in an intermittent activation mode in which a wait mode and the wakeup mode are regularly switched to each other, until stoppage of oscillation of the pilot signal is detected.

  • Publication number: 20130247039
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention is a computer system, including a management apparatus, a storage apparatus and a physical server. The management apparatus registers a master volume created from a first volume provided by the storage apparatus to a first virtual server in operation. The storage apparatus creates, when a second volume provided by the storage apparatus to a second virtual server operating on the physical server satisfies a specific similarity condition with respect to the registered master volume, a difference volume for storing difference data between the master volume and a volume of the second virtual server. The second virtual server accesses the difference volume and the master volume.

Abstract: The present invention provides a noninvasive alcohol sensor that measures ethanol concentration with high accuracy by suppressing error dependent on glucose concentration. An alcohol sensor 10 includes first light-emitting means 21, second light-emitting means 22 and third light-emitting means 23. The first light-emitting means 21 radiates light having a wavelength of 1185 nm. This wavelength of 1185 nm is a wavelength at which the light absorbance of water and the light absorbance of ethanol are equal. The second light-emitting means 22 radiates light having a wavelength of 1710 nm. The third light-emitting means 23 radiates light having a wavelength of 1750 nm. • Patent number: 7808495
Abstract: There is provided a display device which enables both a full color moving image display (analog mode) and a shallow depth still image display (digital mode), and which achieves a significant reduction in the energy consumption of the display device system including the external LSI. Each of the pixel elements of the display device has two different display circuits corresponding to the respective display modes and a switching circuit for selecting one of them. When the digital mode is selected, the supply of the voltage power to the circuits not required to operate (a DA converter, a operational amplifier and a timing controller) under the mode is halted for reducing the consumption of the electric power by the display device.

  • Patent number: 7432898
Abstract: In the active matrix display device with a DRAM as the retaining circuit, the voltage retained in the retaining circuit is set in the brightness saturation region, which is outside the region of the voltage used in the moving picture display mode. With the voltage in this region, the difference in the brightness will not be recognized even if the voltage decreases before the refreshing operation. This prevents flickering and improves the display quality.

  • Patent number: 7196701
Abstract: A power supply circuit (300) for a display device such as a liquid crystal outputs a boosted supply voltage VDD2 during normal operation, and generates a non-boosted supply voltage VDD2 having a voltage lower than that during the normal display operation by controlling the switches for switching the output within the power supply circuit (300) during a power save mode. The non-boosted supply voltage is supplied to the analog circuits of a driving circuit (100) so that the power consumption at the analog circuits is reduced. By controlling the switch for switching the output within the power supply circuit and the supply of the power supply clock, the circuit can be switched, in the power save mode, to either a mode where a lower supply voltage is generated or to a mode where the power supply is turned off.

  • Patent number: 7190381
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device has a liquid crystal panel, a DA converter for generating a common electrode signal to be applied to a common electrode of a liquid crystal, and a non-volatile memory for encoding an optimum value of the common electrode signal into an ID code and storing the ID code therein. The DA converter generates the optimum common electrode signal corresponding to the ID code read out from the non-volatile memory. A liquid crystal panel manufacturer ships the liquid crystal panel in which the optimum value of the common electrode signal is encoded into the ID code and stored in the non-volatile memory in an inspecting process. The assembling manufacturer using the liquid crystal panel can easily set the optimum value of the common electrode signal. Furthermore, the liquid crystal display device has a CPU decoding the ID code read out from the non-volatile memory. Alternatively, it is possible to supply a data of a value of the common electrode signal to a user of the liquid crystal.

  • Patent number: 7091946
Abstract: A mask circuit is provided in a display device having a plurality of pixels. The mask circuit supplies a video signal to each of the pixels in a partial display area selected based on a display area selection signal, and prevents the supply of the video signal to each of the pixels in a background display area. Accordingly, this display device displays an arbitrary pattern at an arbitrary position of the display panel of the display device. In addition, an inverting controlling circuit is provided for inverting the background display signal supplied to each of the pixels in the background display area for each frame. The power consumption of the display device can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20060119755
Abstract: An LCD device driven with storage capacitors prevents defective image display caused by capacitive coupling between data lines and storage capacitor lines. The LCD device includes pixel electrodes arranged at intersections between drain lines and gate lines, switching elements, storage capacitor lines corresponding to the gate lines, storage capacitors having first electrodes connected to the pixel electrodes and second electrodes connected to the storage capacitor lines, a switching circuit for selectively applying a potential to the storage capacitor lines, and a drain driver. The drain driver selects some of the data lines so that an equal number of image data signals having a positive polarity and image data signals having a negative polarity are provided to the selected data lines and simultaneously provides the selected data lines with the image data signals having a positive polarity and the image data signals having a negative polarity.

  • Publication number: 20060114273
Abstract: Test data terminals R-DATA, G-DATA, and B-DATA are provided with respect to video signal lines VL-R, VL-G, and VL-B, via switches SW-R, SW-G, and SW-B, respectively. The switches SW-R, SW-G, and SW-B are turned ON by receiving an H level input signal supplied from a test terminal SW. Thus, a test of a panel is performed before an external IC is connected to the panel. When the external IC is connected to the panel, on the other hand, these terminals used for the test are fixed to an L level, thereby preventing abnormal operations.
