In response to determining that the subtask cancel and migrate plan does exist, a lower priority subtask of the first plurality of subtasks is canceled from a designated edge device of the first cluster of edge devices based on the subtask cancel and migrate plan. The lower priority subtask is migrated to another edge device for running based on the subtask cancel and migrate plan. The higher priority subtask of the second plurality of subtasks is sent to the designated edge device of the first cluster of edge devices for running.

The method further includes: in response to that the actual latency of the operation is greater than a first threshold, generating an estimated latency of the operation by using a trained predictor on the basis of the group of measurements. The method further includes: determining a difference between the actual latency and the estimated latency, and in response to that the difference is less than a second threshold, identifying one or more states from the group of states on the basis of the record and the estimated latency.

    Abstract: Techniques for authenticating and enforcing differentiated policies for a virtual machine (VM) executing in bridge mode on a wireless host device in a media access control (MAC)-based authentication network are described. In an example method a wireless host device is authorized to join a fabric enabled wireless network. A VM executes in bridge mode on the wireless host device. At the fabric edge, a source MAC address of the VM is determined. A session is created between the VM and an authentication server. The VM is authenticated. A policy for the VM is determined. A source internet protocol (IP) address is assigned to the VM to create a MAC-IP binding. A data-plane device in the fabric enabled wireless network is programmed to apply the policy to traffic communicated with the VM. Finally, the data-plane device applies the policy for the VM based at least in part on the MAC-IP binding.

    Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to methods of recycling battery waste. In some aspects, a method can include applying a first heat treatment at a temperature of between about 100° C. and about 700° C. to the battery waste, the first heat treatment decomposing at least about 80 wt % of the binder, separating the electrode material from the current collector, and applying a second heat treatment at a temperature between about 400° C. and about 1,200° C. to the electrode material to produce a regenerated electrode material, the second heat treatment decomposing at least 90 wt % of binder remaining in the electrode material to produce a regenerated electrode material. In some embodiments, the method can include applying a surface treatment to the electrode material to remove surface coatings and/or surface impurities from the electrode material. In some embodiments, the surface treatment can include applying a solvent to the electrode material.

Using the predicted close rate for each lead, an address drive distance for each lead, and dealer-level discount information, a logistic regression model can be trained to generate a score for each combination of a dealer, make, and zip code. Each score indicates a probability of closing a sale between a lead in the zip code and the dealer in the combination. Scores thus generated can be used by a computing facility in recommending dealers to a consumer in the zip code who has expressed an interest in purchasing a vehicle of the same make.
