  • Patent number: 11044240
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting a request for access to a wireless network via an access point. Responsive to a first determination that the identifier corresponds to an entry in the list, access is facilitated to the wireless network via the access point without the equipment of the requesting user providing credentials to the wireless network. The list includes a first set of entries corresponding to a first set of users having unrestricted access and a second set of entries corresponding to a second set of users having restricted access. Responsive to a second determination that the identifier does not correspond to any of the entries, a message is transmitted to equipment of the host regarding the request, and responsive to receiving approval, the list is updated to include the identifier. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210185583
Abstract: Facilitating enablement of intelligent service aware access utilizing multiaccess edge computing advanced networks (e.g., 5G, 6G, and beyond) is provided herein. Operations of a method can comprise determining a network service being utilized by a first user equipment device has not been instantiated at a distributed network device and based on the first user equipment device approaching a service range of the distributed network device. The method also can comprise deploying the network service, as a microservice, at the distributed network device prior to the first user equipment device entering the service range of the distributed network device. Further, the method can comprise removing the network service from being deployed at the distributed network device based on a determination that the first user equipment device is no longer within the service range of the distributed network device and a second user equipment device is not utilizing the network service.

  • Publication number: 20210185498
Abstract: In a 6G network, microservices can be utilized in the absence of a core network. For example, after a mobile device has authenticated, through its carrier network, with a transport service layer, microservices can be allocated to the mobile device without having to be transmitted via the core network. Thus, removing the core network from the process can generate a direct line of microservices from the transport layer to the end-user. Furthermore, additional microservices and/or resources can be access through a microservices library. Consequently, packets can be securely transmitted be a wireless network facilitating sending packet profile data from one to many node devices in anticipation of the packet traversing the various node devices.

  • Patent number: 11038763
Abstract: An intelligent network policy engine can be utilized to apply dynamic policy changes for microservices. For example, based on outlined service provider policies, user equipment state data, and/or network state data, the intelligent network policy engine can determine which microservices to use and/or what order to use the microservices to increase a performance of the network. The intelligent network policy engine can perform conflict resolution based on how network traffic should be treated in certain scenarios.

  • Patent number: 11037443
Abstract: This disclosure describes a solution to facilitate collaborative vehicle warnings via an edge node. An edge network can provide resources to the vehicles such that the vehicles can operate in a harmonic and safe manner. For example, a non-compliance of a vehicle captured by a video camera of another vehicle can be sent to the edge node for analysis. If other data related to non-compliances of the vehicle are received by the edge node, the edge node can label the vehicle as an unsafe vehicle. In response to the labeling the vehicle as an unsafe vehicle, the edge node can share this information with the vehicles that sent the video feed info and/or other vehicles that are nearby.

  • Patent number: 11038838
Abstract: An integrated GW (I-GW) can be utilized to facilitate communications with Internet of things (IoT) devices that operate without Internet protocol (IP) addresses, based on assigned preferences and/or priority. In one aspect, the I-GW can efficiently deliver existing services for various types of IoT devices (e.g., that support different non-IP protocols) and can create emerging applications across different vertical applications. Further, the I-GW can leverage mobility network elements to authenticate, prioritize connections, and/or enable data orchestration via underlying software defined network (SDN)-enabled capabilities and/or infrastructure services. By utilizing IoT devices that do not have IP stacks, a cost and/or size of the IoT devices can be decreased and battery life can be significantly extended.

  • Patent number: 11039315
Abstract: The provision of additional network resources (e.g., in the form of a dedicated super slice), can be requested on demand a per needed basis when higher capacity or performance is requested to facilitate the delivery of a service, when the delivery of the service cannot be met by a network slice associated with the service. A request for using a super slice can be sent to a management gateway device (mGW). The mGW can send the request for authorization to access the additional resources to a management device that manages the additional resources. Authorization can be granted for the additional resources to be used to facilitate or enable tasks that allow for continued delivery of that service.

  • Publication number: 20210165406
Abstract: Deployed drones are managed. For instance, a first drone detects whether the first drone is in communication with a command center via a first communication network to determine a configuration parameter of a first message to broadcast discovery information associated with the first drone. In response to the first drone being in communication with the command center via the first communication network, the first drone broadcasts the first message configured with a first value for the configuration parameter. Or, in response to the first drone not being in communication with the command center via the first communication network, the first drone broadcasts the first message configured with a second value for the configuration parameter different from the first value.

  • Patent number: 11019157
Abstract: Techniques for instantiating and managing microservices for use in connection with devices associated with a core network are presented. A service management component (SMC) can determine a subgroup of services to be used for a group of one or more devices based on results of analysis of characteristics and service conditions associated with the group of devices, wherein a characteristic can relate to whether a device is stationary or mobile. At a desired time(s), which can be periodically, dynamically, or upon request, SMC can instantiate or facilitate instantiating the subgroup of services to facilitate communicating data associated with the device(s) using the subgroup of services. The services can comprise a connectionless service, connection-oriented service, charging service, authentication service, UPF services, or other services. SMC can employ the connectionless service when a device is stationary, but the connectionless service can be extended to devices when they are nomadic or mobile.

  • Patent number: 11019677
Abstract: When machine-to-machine (M2M) devices attach to a mobile communication network, the associated communication session can be treated differently than the attachment of other devices. For example, upon determining that a subscriber device that attaches to a communication network is an M2M device and has completed a given network transaction, the M2M device can be immediately detached without waiting on expiration of an inactivity timer. As another example, upon determining that a subscriber device that attaches to a communication network is an M2M device, the M2M device can be excluded from various signaling procedures such as load-balancing procedures.

  • Publication number: 20210152475
Abstract: Geographic proximity and network congestion are used to determine efficient routing of data in networks. If two devices are geographically close, then device-to-device communication may be possible. Data may thus be routed using device-to-device communication, which avoids consuming bandwidth in wide area networks and in cellular networks.

  • Patent number: 11012875
Abstract: A software defined network controller for controlling a radio access network has a leaning capability by which usage characteristics are learned for each service provided by the radio access network. For example, bandwidth data, connection duration data and latency data may be used to learn usage characteristics for each radio access network service. The learned usage characteristics are then used in allocating network resources in response to a service request.
