Abstract: Provided herein are methods for regenerating hair cells in an adult mammalian inner ear using novel combinations of agents selected from the group consisting of a histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor, one or more inhibitory nucleic acids targeting Fir, Mxi1, Fbxw7, or a combination thereof, a Wnt pathway activator, and a cAMP activator. The methods and compositions can be used to treat a subject with hearing loss or vestibular dysfunction.

Abstract: A follow-hold switch circuit comprising: a follower; a sampling sub-circuit for voltage sampling; a bootstrap-control sub-circuit, which provides a bootstrap voltage to the sampling sub-circuit when the circuit is in a following state; a sampling-switch-control sub-circuit, which provides a common-mode voltage to a bootstrap capacitor in the bootstrap-control sub-circuit when the circuit is in a holding state; the follower is connected to an output of the sampling sub-circuit; the sampling sub-circuit is connected to the bootstrap-control sub-circuit and the sampling-switch-control sub-circuit respectively through a sampling switch; the present disclosure can effectively improve the linearity of sampling switches.

Abstract: A device may include a display for displaying an image frame based on warped image data and image processing circuitry to generate the warped image data by warping input image data to account for one or more distortions associated with displaying the image. The image processing circuitry may include a two-stage cache architecture having an first cache and an second cache and warp the input image data by generating mapping data indicative of a warp between the input image space and the output image space and fetching the input image data to populate the first cache. Warping may also include populating the second cache with a grouping of pixel values from the first cache that are selected according to a sliding window that traverses the first cache based on the mapping data and interpolating between pixel values of the grouping to generate pixel values of the warped image data.

Abstract: A digital-display control apparatus of a garbage can with adjustable sensing distance includes an emitter, a receiver, amplifier, an analog to digital converter, an analog to digital conversion result register connected to the receiver via the amplifier and the analog to digital convertor, a comparison unit, a sensing distance adjustable register, a microcomputer control unit, a drive circuit, and a digital displayer and keys, which is capable of selecting the sensing distance by directly pressing keys or choose the predetermined sensing distance.

Abstract: A blockchain based numerical value ranking method includes: using, by a first participant, a public key of the first participant to encrypt a private value of the first participant to obtain an encrypted text of the first participant; obtaining encrypted texts of other participants, and generating a challenge value having a preset bit length; based on the challenge value and the private value of the first participant, and the encrypted texts and public keys of the other participants, determining mixed results of the first participant with respect to the other participants; and determining a numerical value ranking result between the first participant and a second participant based on the mixed result of the second participant with respect to the first participant.

The method for fabricating the soft bistable magnetic actuator includes the following operations: casting a soft precursor by injection molding, wherein the soft precursor consists of a soft deformable portion and a soft peripheral portion surrounded, the soft deformable portion is made of magnetic particles and polymer, and the soft peripheral portion is made of a magnetic particle, a mixture of organic liquid, and polymer; and extracting the organic liquid by an organic solvent shrinks the soft peripheral portion, buckles the soft deformable portion towards one side.

Abstract: A method for forming a complex shape three-dimensional ceramic article by printing a first layer of a first material having a first fraction of first ceramic particles and a first fraction of a first polymeric ceramic precursor. A second layer is printed such that it is at least partially disposed on the first layer of a second material having a second fraction of second ceramic particles and a second fraction of a second polymeric ceramic precursor. A composite of the first layer and the second layer is heated at a temperature sufficient to decompose the first and second polymeric ceramic precursors and sinter the article. During the sintering process, the first and second layers with different fractions of ceramic particles undergo different degrees of shrinkage, resulting in a tuneable mismatch of the bilayer structure and accurately achieving a targeted geometry.

Abstract: A lutein-containing ophthalmic composition, wherein the ophthalmic composition is mainly consisting of a natural anti-inflammatory substance, a substance with increasing liquid viscosity, and an artificial tear. The substance with increasing liquid viscosity could apply the ophthalmic composition to elongate the retention time on the ocular surface, thereby increasing the retention time of anti-inflammatory substance on the ocular surface for treating dry eye syndrome and inhibiting ocular surface inflammation.

The system comprises the following working steps: after materials are placed, a box base moves upwards to be jointed with a box cover in a sealing manner; the first valve 120 is switched on; a rotary vane pump starts roughly pumping the air; next, a roots pump starts working; when the pressure reaches a preset value, the first valve 120 is switched off; valves 110 and the second valve 130 are switched on; diffusion pumps start working; after the air is pumped out completely, all pumps stop working. A box body comprises the box cover and the box base, wherein the box body is fixedly mounted. The box base is driven by air cylinders to move along a rail. In the present invention, a light curtain sensor is mounted between the box cover and the box base.

Abstract: Disclosed are metallocene compounds, catalyst compositions comprising a metallocene compound, processes for polymerizing olefins, methods for making catalyst compositions, olefin polymers and articles made from olefin polymers. In an aspect, a metallocene compounds contain a fluorenyl ligand and a cyclopentadienyl ligand which are bridged by a linking group, in which the metallocene is characterized by [1] the cyclopentadienyl ligand being substituted with a C2-C18 heterohydrocarbyl group having an oxygen atom positioned 5 atoms distance or less from the cyclopentadienyl ligand and [2] the linking group having a pendant C3-C12 alkenyl group having a terminal C?C double bond. It has been discovered that a catalyst composition comprising a metallocene compound having these features can produce polyethylene having a low melt index in the absence of a second metallocene.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein to automate managing of service layer operations comprised of multiple elementary operations and offloading the burden of performing such multi-step operations from a requesting entity to the service layer. A Request Abstraction Service (RAS) is described herein for the autonomous execution of such multi-step operations. Methods and apparatuses are also described herein for a service layer framework for integrating generic and functional user interfaces as services managed by the SL on behalf of requesting entities.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for defending against a DNS attack includes receiving a DNS request from a request source and obtaining an IP address of the request source, calculating a characteristic value of the IP address, and searching an internal memory for preset identifier information corresponding to the characteristic value. Based on the preset identifier information corresponding to the characteristic value being a detection identifier indicating an uncertainty of an existence of an attack risk in the DNS request, the method includes obtaining request record information and an unblocking time corresponding to the characteristic value, the request record information including a number of request times from the request source in a predetermined period. Based on the number of request times exceeding a preset request threshold, determining that the DNS request is an attack request and discarding the DNS request.
