Hanger assembly

A hanger assembly comprises a hanging bar and two pieces of hanger base, wherein a plurality of bar magnets is disposed in the hanger base in parallel by way of pointing the magnetic poles of same polarity to a common direction and the bar magnets are separated with iron plates; the hanger base is protected with a slot-opened cover having the iron plates protruded slightly over the slots; and magnetic force can be guided and extended to the iron plates to ensure stable attachment of the hanger assembly to the surface of a ferromagnetic article.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] This invention relates generally to a hanger assembly, particularly to a magnet-based hanger base with enhanced magnetic force for being stably adsorbed to a ferromagnetic metallic body for hanging clothes, etc.

[0003] 2. Description of the Prior Art

[0004] As indicated in FIG. 4, a generic conventional magnetic hanger usually comprises a hanging bar 40 and two pieces of hanger base 41 arranged at each end of the hanging bar 40 respectively. The hanger base 41 contains a block magnet 42 inside having a plane surface slightly protruded over the hanger base 41 for adsorbing the block magnet 42 on a ferromagnetic metallic wall, such as an iron frame fixed at window, a metallic casing of refrigerator, or a metallic cabinet, etc. However, as the magnetic attractive force of the block magnet 42 in the hanger base 41 is limited, the magnetic hanger may be detached from the attached metallic wall to fall, suppose a loaded article is relatively heavier. For eliminating mentioned defect, this invention is to provide an improved hanger with enhanced heavy-duty hanger bases.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] The primary object of this invention is to provide a hanger assembly that can guide and extend magnetic field to a plurality of iron plates so as to ensure stable attachment of a pair of hanger bases to the surface of a ferromagnetic metallic article with a longer usable lifetime.

[0006] In order to achieve abovesaid goal, a magnet is inserted between every two immediate neighboring iron plates to form a magnetic unit, then, a plurality of the magnetic units is aligned in parallel by way of pointing the magnetic poles of same polarity to a common direction. Finally, a cover is embedded and fixed in a hanger base having the iron plates protruded slightly over a plurality of slots formed in the cover so that the magnetic field can be guided and extended effectively to the iron plates to ensure attachment of the hanger bases to a ferromagnetic article.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0013] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the hanger assembly of this invention comprises a hanging bar 1 and two pieces of hanger base 2 disposed at two ends of the hanging bar 1 respectively. The hanging base 2 further contains a receptacle 20, a plurality of bar magnets 22, a plurality of magnetic permeable iron plates 21, and a cover 3, wherein the receptacle 20 is substantially in shape of a rectangle; both the bottom and the ceiling of the receptacle 20 are formed in steps; a projecting ear 23 is formed at two ends of the iron plate 21 respectively; and a plurality of slots 31 is arranged in the cover 3.

[0014] When assembling the hanger base 2, the procedure is to: insert each bar magnet 22 between every two immediate neighboring iron plates 21 to form a magnetic unit; align a plurality of the magnetic units in parallel by way of pointing the magnetic poles of same polarity to a common direction; place the magnetic units in the receptacle 20 and have the projecting ears 23 of the iron plates 21 propped against the steps in the receptacle 20; and finally, embed and fix the cover 3 in the receptacle 20 and have the projecting ears 23 entrapped in a slot 24 formed between the cover 3 and the receptacle 20 for keeping the iron plates 21 immobile and protruding slightly over the slots 31 of the cover 3 as shown in FIG. 3.

[0015] Basing on the permutation and combination of the bar magnets 22 and iron-plates 21 of this invention-by way described-above, the magnetic force of the bar magnet 22 can be guided and extended to the iron plates 21 to ensure stable attachment of the hanger bases to a metallic ferromagnetic article.

[0016] In the above described, at least one preferred embodiment has been elucidated with reference to the drawings annexed, and it is apparent that numerous variations or modifications may be made without departing from the true spirit and scope thereof, as set forth in the claims below.

Claims

1. A hanger assembly, comprising a hanging bar and two pieces of hanger base disposed at two ends of the hanging bar respectively, wherein the hanger base is characterized in:

containing a plurality of bar magnets and ferromagnetic iron plates;
each bar magnet being sandwiched laterally by two immediate neighboring pieces of the iron plate to form a magnetic unit; and
the magnet units being aligned by way of pointing the magnetic poles of same polarity to a common direction for guiding and extending the magnetic field to the iron plates to ensure stable attachment of the hanger bases to a ferromagnetic article.

2. The hanger assembly according to claim 1, wherein the hanger base is protected with a slots-opened cover and the iron plates are arranged protruding over the slots slightly.

3. The hanger assembly according to claim 2, wherein a projecting ear is formed at a top and a bottom end of each said iron plate respectively for being clenched and fixed by the hanger base and the cover.
