Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a tent and, more particularly to a tent provided with connection equipment for holding the zipper slider of a tent door with an elastic rubber string, thus preventing the tent door from reaching to the ground and getting dirty while open or partially shut.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART

[0002] Conventional tents have a shortcoming in that the open tent door droops on the ground and gets dirty easily or even damaged while people are going in and out of the tent. So, each time the tent door is opened or closed it has to be bound and fixed up with a ring which is inconvenient. Moreover, when it is raining, the muddy and wet condition of the ground can soil the tent door seriously, thus discouraging campers from using the door for quite some time.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide connection equipment, which keeps the tent door clean and comfortable for handling while campers go in and out of the tent.

[0004] In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a tent which comprises a body; a door which is connected to the body by a seam line; a zipper sewn and attached to the body and the door; a slider for opening and closing the zipper; and means for holding an open portion of the door. The tent further comprises a holder provided with a pair of through holes for moving the slider when a user opens and closes the door, the holder including an elastic string and a connection portion which is attached to the seam line and the zipper.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0005] The above and other objects and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description of the preferred embodiments given in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:

[0006] FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of the present invention showing the door of the tent when it is closed;

[0007] FIG. 2 is a magnified view of the part A of FIG. 1;

[0008] FIG. 3 shows a schematic view of the door of the tent when it is partially open in accordance with the present invention; and

[0009] FIG. 4 is a magnified view of the part C of FIG. 3.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0010] Other objects and aspects of the invention will become apparent from the following description of the embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings, which is set forth hereinafter.

[0011] A tent 1 comprises a body 15, a door 2 and a seam portion 6. The door 2 is opened and closed using a zipper 3 which is sewn and attached to the door. The zipper has a zipper slider 4 and a zipper holder 5, the zipper holder 5 having a zipper holder hole 8.

[0012] A fastening portion 10 is formed by tying the zipper holder hole 8 to a connection ring portion 7, which is sewn and attached to an end of the bottom of the door 2, with a rubber string 9. The rubber string 9 connects the connection ring portion 7 to one of the through holes formed in the zipper slider 4. As shown in FIG. 2, the connection ring portion 7 is connected to zipper holder hole 8. The rubber string 9 may be fastened to tie 11 when the door is sufficiently opened.

[0013] When setting up the tent 1 of the present invention, the holder 5 of the zipper slider 4 is pulled to open the tent door 2 as with conventional tents. However, with the present invention the door 2 gets folded and doesn't reach to the ground because the zipper holder hole 8 is tied up with the rubber string 9 to the connection ring portion 7 sewn or otherwise attached to one end of the seam portion 6 at the bottom of the door 2. With the door fixed with the fastening portion 10, when the zipper 3 is pulled up to open the tent door, the door 2 gets folded naturally in the direction of the zipper 3 as it opens and does not reach to the ground as the connection ring portion 7 at one side of the seam portion 6 is pulled up along with the zipper 3 while the rubber string 9 is extended. When closing the tent door 2, the zipper holder 5 is grasped and the zipper slider 4 is moved to its original location, and then the door 2, which is folded open, gets unfolded as it closes, with the rubber string 9 retracting gradually.

[0014] With the zipper holder hole 8 of the zipper slider 4 and the connection ring portion 7 at the bottom of the tent door 2 integrated into the body 15, the door 2 of the tent 1 is not allowed to reach to the ground when people open the door to go in and out, thus making outdoor life for campers more enjoyable and comfortable by preventing the tent door from getting dirty or damaged.

[0015] While the present invention has been described with respect to certain preferred embodiments, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes and modifications may be made without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the following claims.
