Skill and chance game for fun or competition

A game apparatus enabling the use of dexterity and skill while providing chance opportunities consisting of a set of equidistant receivers with established values formatted in rows of a triangular pattern, a ball or balls to enable play, and a launching stunt device for delivering the sphere located a set distance from the formatted receivers. The launcher or projecting device enables the aiming and delivery of the ball to the receivers by the maneuvering of the arm of the device yet maintaining the bowl of the launcher within the area of the designated spot, providing a single player challenge and excitement or several players in competition the added arising of attitude and challenges afforded from chance, use of skills and winning by score.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0004] This invention relates to games of skill in general but more specifically those utilizing a sphere or spheres, a delivering means, a predetermined place for the delivering means, and a set of receivers. Players success in games of prior art has been provided by elimination of opponents resulting from the delivery of a sphere by direct means or the use of a device to receiving contrivances and though these games are noteworthy they may be contained in mostly of one category or another being either of dexterity or skill or chance but unknown is any prior art similar to the invention herein disclosed which allows for a more combined required use of dexterity and skill while also affording a more opportunity of chance.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] The herein disclosed invention comprises of a set of receivers, a sphere or predetermined number of spheres, a launching device, a designated place for the bowl of the launching device, and a method of play, and though parts of the invention may be similar, it would be only in parts or generalities that such may relate to other prior art.

[0008] The object of the game is for players in competition to win by the highest score, or if playing solo a player may realize enjoyment from the dynamics and required skill of the game.

[0009] The concept of the game is to contain rows of receivers of equal distance in a triangular format and each of size to accommodate a sphere and as a quantity and format of the receivers affords opportunities of chance, the unique required use of a stunt type projecting device to enable directing and delivery of a sphere to the receivers being maintained about a spot provides for an increased level of fun and satisfaction through the use of dexterity and skill which may be lost or minimized in other inventions.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS

[0010] Dwg. 1 contains FIG. 1 showing a plan or top view of the apparatus features: the receivers 1 in a triangular format, a place or spot for the bowl of the projecting device 2, the projecting device or launcher 3, and the sphere 4.

[0011] Dwg. 2 shows the following: FIG. 4 is an isometric depicting the receivers 1 and the place or spot for the bowl of the launcher 2; FIG. 2 is several views of the launcher 3 being a side view depicting the arm and bowl, plus a front view depicting a concave of the bowl; FIG. 3 is a front view of the sphere 4.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0012] This description of the herein game invention is of an apparatus and a method of play which begins by referring to drawings one (1) and two (2).

[0013] The place of play may be as herein shown a board or any solid, firm, and relatively level surface area enabling the playing of the game as the ground, a floor, or a produced or manufactured surface of material finished to retain its shape being a firm flat level finished surface.

[0014] The apparatus being: a set of receivers or receiving contrivances 1; a seating or resting place or spot 2 ; a launcher or projecting device 3; and, a sphere 4. The receivers 1 being of any shape or dimensions of any produced or manufactured to retain its shape as a cup, or box, or the like or formed as a dent or as herein shown holes 1 being a means to freely accepting a sphere 4.

[0015] The receivers 1, of any rigid or semi rigid form, composition, size or shape but of such manufacture, produced or formed so to freely accept a sphere yet the receivers to retain their size and shape and of any but established quantity but herein shown of ten (10) in rows of a shape as herein a triangular shape as similar to that of a bowling alley configuration but in reverse are placed apart in rows with any minimal but relatively equal separating spacing allowing for passage of the sphere 4 between said receivers 1. The receivers 1 may be of any values but organized fashion as herein shown value per receiver as follows: being from the top of the playing area proceeding in a downward direction: one (1) receiver centered in the top or first row having any set value but herein a value of one (1); two (2) receivers the following or second row centered below the first row having any set of value but herein each having a value of two (2); three (3) receivers in the following or third row centered below the second row having any set of values but herein each as follows the two (2) end receivers each having a value of three (3) with the center receiver having a value of one (1); four (4) receivers in the last or fourth row centered below the third row each having any value but herein each as follows, the two (2) outside receivers each a value of one (1) with the two (2) inside receives each having a value of two (2).

[0016] A bowl spot 2 maybe of any designating manner as indicia or formed or of any produced or manufactured form, composition, size or shape but of such as to freely accept the bottom shape of the bowl of the pusher yet retain its own shape as a spot or as a ring or the like of any similar shape or fashion or as a dent or as herein shown a hole 2 for the purpose of providing a place or seating for the bowl of the projecting device 3. The bowl place or spot 2 is of a size relative to the size of the base of tile bowl of the projecting device 3 providing for the seating or holding of the bowl of the protecting device 3 enabling the performance of the projecting device without restricting the function and purpose of the device 3. The spot 2 being centrally located in line relative to the center of the receivers 1 and then being a predetermined distance away from and below the last row to enable the traversing of the sphere 4 from the bowl of the launcher 3 while about the spot 2 to the receivers 1 but not so short a distance as to prevent access by a sphere 4 to the holes 1 nor is the distance between the spot 2 and receivers 1 so long as to prevent fair aiming of a sphere 4.

[0017] The sphere 4 may be any round body as a marble or the like or as herein a ball being relative in size to the receivers 1, of any composition and form but to be of such material formed, manufactured or finished to a rigid or semi rigid form as to retain the shape of a sphere while in use and of any but predetermined quantity.

[0018] The projecting device, or launcher 3 is a solely devised stunt item so designed for the purpose of enabling the skillful delivery of the sphere 4 and of such composition, form or manufacture as to retain it's rigid or semi rigid form while in use. Consisting of a slight deep concave or oval designed bowl the poosher 3 is similar in form as that of a spoon or ladle with a reduced or limited nose or tip and with an extended arm. Not being of full size the bowl of the launcher 3 being relative in size to the sphere 4 is of adequate size to freely accept the sphere, but not restricting the release of the sphere. Concept of the bowl being the front tip or lip limited or removed to provide an easier release of the ball and enable better accuracy.

[0019] The method of play is for the player to place the bowl of the launcher 3 on the spot or place 2 then place a sphere 4 in the bowl of the launcher 3. The player aims the sphere 4 at the receivers 1 by manipulating the arm of the launcher 3, then delivers the sphere 4 by maneuvering the arm or handle of the launcher 3 as to cause the discharging of the sphere 4 to move forward toward the receivers 1 while maintaining the bowl of the launcher bowl 3 about the spot 2. A winning score for play may be any amount but a predetermined amount established prior to starting the play of the game.

[0020] The intended means or general characteristics of this herein disclosed invention may be embodied in other specific forms therefore the embodiments described are all to be illustrative and not restrictive in all aspects. The scope of this invention is to be realized by the appended claims more properly than solely the detailed description intending all changes to come within the meaning of the claims.
