BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0004] Hole tool bags are intended for use by field technicians that install, maintain and repair all types of machinery and electrical, electronic and communications devices.

[0005] These personnel require a readily accessible adequate supply of sharp drilling and tapping tools for small and medium sized holes. These “hole-tools” should be carried in labled protective pockets that are chosen carefully to be trade specific and sized to accomodate quanities necessary for field work.

[0006] Currently the “DRILL BOXES” available hold only one of each size bit and carry many odd sizes unrelated to the trade professions. These boxes are made of metal, close badly, spill easily and are best suited for the work bench at home or in the shop.

[0007] Holes to be threaded must be drilled with the correctly sized bit to produce the thread depth needed. These bits are often numbered or lettered sizes that are not available at local hardware stores or in the drill bit box sets. Maintaining an adequate supply of these special bits is crucial.

[0008] The pockets will also be sized for the short ‘stubby’ bits preferred by the trade workers. These bits are less expensive and come in packages of six or more.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0009] HOLE-TOOL BAGS will contain labeled pockets that hold quantities of each size bit needed for the specific trade. Taps that match the bit may be in the same pocket.

[0010] The large center pocket is used for long bits and accessories such as chuck keys, center punches, counter sinks and screwdriver bits. The hole-tool bag ‘ZIPS’ closed and closes all pockets at the same time. This prevents spillage and mixing. Tossing it into the drill box would cause little or no damage to the protected tools.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING

[0011] The “BIT-BAG” looks very much like the popular “bank bag” issued to small commercial users. The pockets of different sizes are visable on both sides just below the zipper.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0012] The Hole-Tool bag is made from a tough pliable material such as but not limited to naugahyde, leather, canvas or nylon broad cloth and backed with a soft mesh covered material.

[0013] The bag is manufactured by sewing the several pieces together after first cutting and sewing them to the desired measurements. Pockets are made from a lighter material and printed with the sizes to be carried and then sewn on to the bag just below the zipper.

[0014] The hole-tool bag's basic size is a 6″×11″ rectangle. The zipper is installed on the 11″ top after the ends and bottom have been sewn. The pocket array is sewn seperately to the inside of the bag at the upper edge.

[0015] The pockets are slightly longer on one edge to make them ‘pooch’ out for easy access. Smaller bits will have smaller pockets. Longer bits will have deeper pockets.

[0016] The pockets are arranged single file on both sides just beneath the zipper, inside the bag. Each bag will contain the necessary number of pockets for that trade. One pocket will be assigned “DULL”.

[0017] Each bag will be identified with one or more of the following labels.

[0018] 1. BIT-BAG.

[0019] 2. HARD-HOLE.

[0020] 3. THREAD-IT.

[0021] 4. SOFT HOLE.

[0022] 5. CHASE-IT.

Claims

1. I claim this is the first portable, pliable and pocketed hole-tool carrier that stores, protects and organizes quantities of small and medium sized drill bits, taps, dies and their accessories in specific groups related to the necessary tasks preformed by the several trades and technical fields.
