Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a height adjustable table, and more particularly to an automatic continuously height adjustable table.

2. Description of the Prior Art

From the ergonomic point of view, a person who often keeps sitting posture for a long time is likely to be hunchbacked, if the table and chair he/she sits are improperly designed and or the height is incorrect, his head will lean forward naturally, resulting in the muscle tone imbalance at the front body and the rear and causing the spinal pressure increase. If some special actions are endlessly repeated for a long time during work, it will cause muscle strain, muscle compression, nerve compression, tendon injury and ligament sprain at the shoulder, the neck, the upper limbs, and the back. When the injury seriousness accumulates to a certain level, it will cause the pain, the ankylosis and the numbly symptoms at the shoulder, the neck, the upper limbs and the back etc, that is called repetitive strain injury. Meanwhile, with the increase of the spinal pressure, it is likely to cause work-related musculoskeletal disorders. Additionally, long-time sitting posture will also block the returning flow of the venous blood, thus causing the flood to subside to the shanks. Consequently, it will cause the foot edema, varicosity and the like.

To avoid the abovementioned problems, a height adjustable table was developed on the market. The height adjustable table comprises a load board, at least one kingpost and a control panel. A linear actuator inside the kingpost is dynamically connected to the kingpost for enabling the kingpost to carry out linear extension. One end of the kingpost is coaxially assembled with the load board and the control plane is electrically connected to the linear actuator. The control panel is utilized to turn on/off the linear actuator, so as to make the linear actuator rotate clockwise or counterclockwise, and accordingly enabling the kingpost to carry out the linear extension. Thereby, the load board will rise or lower along with the kingpost. However, it still has the following problems:

The users must utilize the control panel to control the extension of the kingpost. However, the users are often too busy to forget the function or they feel too troublesome to use the function, so they rarely use the function, causing the failure of the function. Consequently, how to make the height adjustable table automatically continuously rise and lower and compel the user to change his sitting posture and reduce the improper pressures and the load on the body to avoid of the nerves, muscles, skeletons and circulation disorders will be the key point for the recent research and development.

The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an automatic continuously height adjustable table which can compel the user to move about, thus reducing the improper pressure and the load on his body.

To achieve the abovementioned objective, the automatic continuously height adjustable table of the present invention comprises a load board, at least one kingpost and a controller. The controller includes a control panel, a time unit, a count unit and a storage unit. The controller is utilized to turn on/off the linear actuator according to the sitting time parameter and the standing time parameter which are set by the time unit, so as to make the linear actuator rotate clockwise or counterclockwise and accordingly enabling the kingpost to carry out the linear extension according to the sitting height parameter and the standing height parameter which are set by the count unit. Thus compelling the user to change his postures, and consequently reducing the improper pressure and load on the body and avoiding the nerve, muscle skeleton fatigue and the circulation disorder.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The present invention will be more clear from the following description when viewed together with the accompanying drawings, which show, for purpose of illustrations only, the preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

Referring to FIGS. 1-6, an automatic continuously height adjustable table 10 in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention can be an office table, a computer table, a drafting table, a working table or a therapy table and the like. The automatic continuously height adjustable table 10 (as shown in FIG. 10) comprises a load board 11, at least one kingpost 12 and a controller 13.

The kingpost 12 is formed by a multistage pivotal connection of a plurality of hollow posts. A linear actuator 121 inside the kingpost 12 is dynamically connected to the kingpost 12 to make the kingpost 12 carry out the linear extension. One end of the kingpost 12 is coaxially assembled to the load board 11. The number of the kingpost 12 can be increased according to the volume of the load board 11, so as to enable the kingpost 12 supporting the load board 11 to rise and lower readily.

The controller 13 (as shown in FIG. 3) includes a control panel 131, a time unit 132, a count unit 133 and a storage unit 134.

The control panel 131 is electrically connected to the time unit 132, the count unit 133 and the storage unit 134 respectively. The controller 13 is electrically connected to the linear actuator 121 of the kingpost 12. Time parameter T and height parameter H can be set via the control panel 131. The controller 13 can utilize the time unit 132 to set the sitting time parameter T1 and the standing time parameter T2 and utilize the count unit 133 to set the sitting height parameter H1 correspondingly to the sitting time parameter T1 and the standing height parameter H2 correspondingly to the standing time parameter T2. The sitting time parameter T1, standing time parameter T2, the sitting height parameter H1 and standing height parameter H2 are all stored in the storage unit 134.

The controller 13 will start or stop the linear actuator 121 according to the sitting time T1 and the standing time parameter T2 which are set by the time unit 132, so as to make the linear actuator 121 rotate clockwise or counterclockwise, and consequently enabling the kingpost 12 to carry out the linear extension according to the sitting height parameter H1 and the standing height parameter H2 which are set by the count unit 133, thus raising or lowering the load board 11 periodically automatically along with the kingpost 12. The electrical connection of the controller 13 and the linear actuator 121 of the kingpost 12 includes wire connection (referring to FIG. 5) or wireless connection (referring to FIG. 6).

The aforementioned is the summary of the positional and structural relationship of the respective components of the preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

For a better understanding of the present invention, its operation and function, reference should be made to FIGS. 7-8.

When in use, the user can set parameter through the control panel 131 of the controller 13. The controller 13 utilizes the time unit 132 to set the sitting time parameter T1 and the standing time parameter T2 and utilizes the count unit 133 to set the sitting height parameter H1 correspondingly to the sitting time parameter T1 and the standing height parameter H2 correspondingly to the standing time parameter T2. The sitting time parameter T1, standing time parameter T2, the sitting height parameter H1 and standing height parameter H2 are all stored in the storage unit 134 to make the linear actuator 121 of the kingpost 12, under control of the controller 13, adjust the height of load board 11 automatically, continuously and periodically, thus compelling the user to change his postures, and consequently reducing the improper pressure and load on the body and avoiding the nerve, muscle skeleton fatigue and the circulation disorder.

To summarize, the automatic continuously height adjustable table of the present invention comprises a load board, at least one kingpost and a controller The controller sets time parameter through the time unit and the extension time of the kingpost corresponds to the time parameter. The controller sets height parameter through the count unit and the extension height of the kingpost corresponds to the height parameter. The load board will rise or lower automatically, continuously and periodically along with the kingpost, thus compelling the user to change his postures.

While we have shown and described various embodiments in accordance with the present invention, it is clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
