Contouring mask with integral face and neck portions

A stretchable contouring mask includes a face member comprising two eye holes, a mouth hole, and a temporarily closed nose section wherein the nose section is adapted to open to align with the nostrils after wearing the contouring mask on the face; a neck member formed integrally with the face member; and two substantially concentric lines having a series of punched holes formed on either side of a joining portion of the face and neck members. After wearing the contouring mask on the face and the neck a wearer tears a predetermined percentage of a portion between the lines off to accommodate the face, the chin, and the neck. Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The invention relates to facial contouring masks and more particularly to such a facial contouring mask having integral face and neck portions so that the face, the chin, and the neck can be comfortably covered by close fitting in a single wearing of the contouring mask.

2. Description of Related Art

Conventionally, contouring masks are utilized to correct a number of cosmetic features of the face due to aging process.

A type of conventional contouring mask is adapted to adhere onto the face only. Hence, it is typical for a user to have a sharp skin color contrast of the face and the neck. This is not aesthetic.

Wearing another contouring mask for the neck may solve the above problem. However, it is not convenient in use and is not cost effective.

There have been numerous suggestions in prior patents for contouring mask. For example, U.S. Pat. No. 4,658,811 discloses a facial contouring mask. Thus, continuing improvements in the exploitation of contouring mask are constantly being sought.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is therefore one object of the invention to provide a contouring mask for covering the face, the chin, and the neck of a wearer in a single wearing.

The above and other objects, features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a front view of a first preferred embodiment of contouring mask according to the invention;

FIG. 2 is a side elevation of the contouring mask being worn on the face, the chin, and the neck of a woman; and

FIG. 3 is a front view of a second preferred embodiment of contouring mask according to the invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a contouring mask in accordance with a first preferred embodiment of the invention is shown. The contouring mask is made of stretchable material and comprises the following components as discussed in detail below.

A face portion 10 has two eye holes 11, a mouth hole 12, and a nose section 13. Both the eye and mouth holes 11, 12 are adapted to align with the eyes and the mouth of a wearer during use. The nose section 13 is temporarily closed before use. Further, the nose section 13 is adapted to open to align with the nostrils in order to communicate air therewith after wearing the contouring mask on the face.

A substantially rectangular neck portion 14 is formed integrally with the face portion 10. Two substantially concentric lines 15 having a series of punched holes are formed on either side of a joining portion of the face portion 10 and the neck portion 14.

In use a wearer may tear a certain percentage of a portion between the lines 15 off in order to accommodate wearers of different face, chin, and neck shapes. Hence, the face, the chin, and the neck can be comfortably covered by close fitting in a single wearing of the contouring mask.

Referring to FIG. 3, a contouring mask in accordance with a second preferred embodiment of the invention is shown. The second embodiment is identical to the first embodiment, except that the neck portion 14 is tapered.

While the invention herein disclosed has been described by means of specific embodiments, numerous modifications and variations could be made thereto by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention set forth in the claims.
