Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates a device for applying hair dye to hair along the entire length of the hair from a variety of starting points on the hair, particularly from the roots of the hair.

BACKGROUND ART

Similar known techniques are disclosed in the following patent documents:

FR 2850545 discloses a device related to this art, which has a plurality of needles serving as the teeth of a comb and a plurality of openings which are disposed in a flat plane so as to dispense hair dye composition; and

WO 98/51183 discloses a device related to this art, which has a plurality of teeth and openings disposed in a flat plane so as to dispense hair dye composition.

The above-mentioned devices are inconvenient from the flowing standpoints.

First, the devices dispense the hair dye composition to the hair from only one starting position, i.e. the roots of the hair. Since the surface of a support section is a flat plane, the application surface has a convex shape. Means for actuating a piston is not clearly disclosed in this patent document, but it appears to be a screw type or a nut type, in which the piston is generally actuated by hand. Furthermore, dispensation openings disposed at end portions of the teeth hinder the smooth dispensing of liquid.

Second, since this device dispenses the composition from the end portions of the teeth, the support section has a flat surface from the base level thereof. Accordingly, the application surface has a convex shape. The piston actuating means is an electronic type, and thus a battery pack is necessary to drive the piston actuating means. In addition, the dispensation openings, disposed at the end portions of the teeth, hinder the smooth dispensing of liquid.

DISCLOSURE

The invention is provided to realize a device capable of solving the above-mentioned problems.

In order to accomplish the object, there is provided a device for applying liquids for coloring hair, which applies hair dye liquid to hair from a variety of starting levels. The device includes a storage section storing liquid therein to be dispensed, a piston made to dispense the hair dye liquid in a measured amount, and a cap provided with a base having a plurality of hollow teeth for dyeing hair roots and a plurality of openings for dyeing almost the entire length of the hair.

The device is characterized in that it includes a module which is provided with a trigger, an axle, an advancing plate having a spring, and a limiting plate having a spring, and in that it actuates a piston so as to enables a measured amount of liquid to be supplied.

The device is characterized in that it dispenses liquid from side openings provided in the sides of the hollow teeth thereof.

DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

Features and advantages of the invention can be apparent from the description of at least one of preferred embodiments of the invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which:

FIG. 1 is a longitudinal sectional view illustrating a device according to the invention;

FIG. 2 is a partial view illustrating a cap base provided with a tooth section;

FIG. 3 is a partial view illustrating a cap base provided with a tooth section and openings; and

FIG. 4 is a three-dimensional perspective view illustrating the appearance of a module.

MODE FOR INVENTION

A device for applying hair dye liquid to hair from a variety of starting positions in the hair includes a storage section 1, which contains liquid to be dispensed therein, a piston mechanism 3, which supplies the hair dye liquid in a measured amount, and a cap 5 having a base 8 provided with a plurality of hollow teeth used for dyeing hair roots and/or a plurality of openings 7 used for dyeing the entire length of the hair.

In the device, it is preferable that the base 8 be concave so as correspond to the shape of the skull so that the hair dye liquid can be more smoothly dispensed. It is further preferable that the base be cylindrically concave.

In the device, it is preferable that the cap 5 be provided with a threaded portion or other fixing means 2 which allows the cap 5 to be replaceable so that the cap 5, provided with the hollow teeth 6 or the openings 7, can be replaced.

According another aspect of the invention, the device includes a set including a trigger 9, belonging to a main body of the storage section 1, an axle 10, an advancing plate 4 provided with a spring 11, and a limiting plate provided with a spring 13 for applying force to a piston 3 so that a measured amount of liquid is supplied, a button 14 which releases the limiting plate 12, a recovery spring 15 which can lift the piston in the storage section 1, and a stepwise axle 16 which is formed integrally with the piston 3, which is guided by a support 17 formed integrally with the main body of the storage section 1, and which can maintain the orientation of the piston while the piston moves linearly, in which the support 17 serves as an element for guiding the axle 10 of the piston, in which the hollow teeth 6 smoothly dispense the liquid through openings 6A provided in the sides of the hollow teeth 6, and in which the length of the hollow teeth 5 can vary appropriately so as to uniformly and sufficiently dispense the hair dye along the entire length of the hair.

A passage in the cap which has dispensation openings or does not have dispensation openings can be realized using a mechanism that covers openings according to the circumstances. Finally, the device is advantageous in that it can be embodied as a container that may be disposed of after use or may be reused after cleaning.

The invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and it will be understood that various modifications and variations are made depending on the characteristics of the material, the form, and the size of elements of the device, the means for actuating the piston, the type of the base of the cap, the number and arrangement of the teeth and openings of the cap, and the kind of hair dye or lotion (for example, treatment products) to be used, without departing from the scope of the invention.
