Infant Support Structure with Integrated Electronic System

An infant support structure assembly includes a frame having an infant receiving portion configured to receive an infant therein and an electronic device. The infant receiving portion includes a support component extending along part of the infant receiving portion. The support component includes an electrical connector coupled thereto. The electrical connector is connected to a power source. The electronic device includes a mounting portion removably mountable to the support component of the frame. Power is supplied from the power source to the electronic device when the electronic device is mounted to the frame and engages the electrical connector of the support component.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application claims the benefit of and priority under 35 U.S.C. 119(e) to U.S. Provisional Application No. 61/412,475, entitled “Infant Support Structure with Integrated Electronic System”, filed Nov. 11, 2010, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an infant support structure coupled to a power source and an electronic device removably coupleable to the support structure and powered via the power source when coupled to the support structure.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Various infant support structures are known in the art, such as for example cribs, bassinets, playards, and changing tables. Electronic devices are sometimes used in conjunction with or near such support structures, such as monitors, mobiles, audio devices (e.g. soothers, radios, or music players), projectors, or lights. Such devices may be powered via batteries or via an electrical outlet. Batteries are often quickly drained for many such electronic devices. The device, which is typically clamped or otherwise secured to the support structure, must typically be removed in order to replace the batteries. As such, it is often desirable to connect such devices to a home electrical outlet via a power cord. However, the power cord often poses a safety concern given it is typically within reach of an infant disposed in the support structure. Moreover, there may be multiple power cords if multiple electronic devices are used in association with a support structure.

It would be desirable to provide a system or assembly that includes a support structure having a mounting portion configured for releasably receiving and providing power to a selected electronic device.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is directed to a system including an infant support structure having an electronic system, and an electronic infant device. The infant support structure includes a frame having an upper portion and a lower portion. The lower portion is configured to engage a support surface. The upper portion is coupled to the lower portion and defines an infant receiving area into which an infant may be placed. The electronic system is coupled to the frame and includes an electrical contact and a power source connected to the electrical contact. The electronic infant device includes an activity component and a mounting component. The mounting component is removably coupleable to the frame. The electronic infant device includes an electrical contact, which is connected to the electrical contact of the frame when the electronic infant device is coupled to the frame so that power can be supplied to the activity component of the electronic infant device.

In one embodiment, the upper portion of the frame includes a first side portion, a second side portion, a first end portion, and a second end portion. The side portions and the end portions collectively define the infant receiving area therebetween. The electrical contact of the frame is disposed on one of the end portions. In one implementation, one of the first end portion and the second end portion includes a rail portion, and the electrical contact of the frame is disposed on the rail portion.

In one embodiment, the upper portion of the frame includes a mounting portion. The mounting portion is configured to be coupled to the mounting component of the electronic infant device, and the electrical contact of the frame is placed on the mounting portion.

In one embodiment, the electronic infant device is a monitor. In another embodiment, the electronic infant device is a light source. In another embodiment, the electronic infant device is a mobile.

In one embodiment, the infant support structure is a crib. In another embodiment, the infant support structure is a bassinet. In another embodiment, the infant support structure is a play yard or play pen. In another embodiment, the infant support structure is a changing table.

In one embodiment, the electronic infant device is a first electronic infant device, and the system includes a second electronic infant device. The second electronic infant device includes an activity component and a mounting component. The activity component of the second electronic infant device is different than the activity component of the first electronic infant device. The mounting component of the second electronic infant device is removably coupleable to the frame and includes an electrical contact. The electrical contact of the second electronic infant device is connected to the electrical contact of the frame when the electronic infant device is coupled to the frame so that power can be supplied to the activity component of the second electronic infant device.

The present invention is also directed to an infant support structure assembly including a frame and an electronic device removably coupleable to the frame. The frame includes an infant receiving portion configured to receive an infant therein. The infant receiving portion includes a support component extending along part of the infant receiving portion. The support component includes an electrical connector coupled thereto. The electrical connector is connected to a power source. The electronic device includes a mounting portion mountable to the support component of the frame. Power is supplied from the power source to the electronic device when the electronic device is mounted to the frame and engages the electrical connector of the support component.

In one embodiment, the frame is a crib frame and the infant receiving portion includes side walls and end walls. The support component is a rail and is located along one of a side wall and an end wall.

In one embodiment, the electronic device includes an electrical connector. The electrical connector engages the electrical connector of the support component when the electronic device is mounted to the frame. In one implementation, the mounting portion of the electronic device is configured to receive a portion of the support component of the frame, and the electrical connector of the electronic device is coupled to the mounting portion of the electronic device.

In one embodiment, the electronic device is a monitor. In another embodiment, the electronic device is a light source. In another embodiment, the electronic device is an audio producing device. In another embodiment, the electronic device is a mobile.

In one embodiment, the electronic device is a first electronic device, and the assembly includes a second electronic device removably coupleable to the frame and different than the first electronic device. The second electronic device includes a mounting portion mountable to the support component of the frame. Power is supplied from the power source to the second electronic device when the second electronic device is mounted to the frame and engages the electrical connector of the support component.

In one embodiment, the support component is a first support component, and the infant receiving portion includes a second support component. The second support component includes an electrical connector coupled thereto and coupled to the power source. The mounting portion of the electronic device is mountable to a selected one of the first support component or the second support component. Power is supplied from the power source to the electronic device when the electronic device is mounted to the frame and engages the electrical connector of the selected one of the first support component or the second support component.

The present invention also relates to an infant support structure including a lower frame portion configured to engage a support surface, and an upper frame portion. The lower frame portion includes a support member on which an infant can be placed. The upper frame portion includes a wall portion extending along at least part of the lower frame portion. The wall portion includes a rail portion configured to receive an electronic device thereon. The rail portion has an electrical connector disposed therein. The electrical connector is exposed relative to the rail portion. The electrical connector is electrically connected to a power source so that power is supplied to the electrical connector.

In one embodiment, the support structure also includes an electronic device. The electronic device includes a mounting portion having an electrical connector. The mounting portion is configured to be coupled to the rail portion of the upper frame portion so that the electrical connector of the electronic device can be coupled to the electrical connector of the upper frame portion to supply power from the power source to the electronic device.

In another embodiment, the electronic device is an infant monitor that has a pre-existing connector, such as an A/C powered pin, and that can be attached to the frame using an adaptor or module.

In one implementation, a plurality of electronic devices are provided, each of which includes a mounting portion having an electrical connector. The mounting portion is configured to be coupled to the rail portion of the upper frame portion so that the electrical connector of the electronic device can be coupled to the electrical connector of the upper frame portion to supply power from the power source to a corresponding one of the electronic devices.

In one embodiment, the wall portion of the upper frame portion is a first wall portion, the upper frame including a second wall portion. The second wall portion includes a rail portion configured to receive the electronic device thereon and having an electrical connector disposed therein. The electrical connector of the second wall portion is electrically connected to the power source so that power is supplied thereto.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

It is to be understood that terms such as “left,” “right,” “top,” “bottom,” “front,” “rear,” “side,” “height,” “length,” “width,” “upper,” “lower,” “interior,” “exterior,” “inner,” “outer” and the like as may be used herein, merely describe points or portions of reference and do not limit the present invention to any particular orientation or configuration. Further, terms such as “first,” “second,” “third,” etc., merely identify one of a number of portions, components and/or points of reference as disclosed herein, and do not limit the present invention to any particular configuration or orientation. In addition, the term “infant support structure” and “support structure” may be used interchangeably herein to refer to a structure that can be configured to hold and support a child or infant. The terms “infant” and “child” may be used interchangeably herein.

FIG. 1 illustrates schematic diagram of a system Si for infants according to an embodiment of the present invention. The system Si includes an infant support structure 10 and an electronic infant device 50 coupleable to the support structure 10.

The support structure 10 includes a frame 12 having an upper portion 14 and a lower portion 16. The lower portion 16 is configured to engage a support surface G. The upper portion 14 is coupled to the lower portion 16 and defines an infant receiving area 18 in which an infant may be placed or received. In one embodiment, the support structure 10 is configured as a crib. In alternative embodiments, the support structure 10 may be configured as a bassinet, or as a play yard or play pen, or as a changing table, or some other comparable support structure including an infant receiving area 18.

The support structure also includes an electronic system 20 coupled to the frame 12. The electronic system 20 includes a mounting portion 21 and an electrical contact 22 connected to a power source 24.

The electronic infant device 50 includes an activity component 52 and a mounting component 54. The mounting component 54 is removably coupleable to mounting portion 21 and/or to the frame 12. The electronic infant device 50 has an electrical contact 56. The electrical contact 56 of the electronic infant device 50 is operatively connectable to the electrical contact 22 when the electronic infant device 50 is coupled to the frame 12, so that power can be supplied to the activity component 52 of the electronic infant device 50 via the power source 24.

FIG. 2 illustrates a perspective view of an infant support structure assembly S2 according to another embodiment of the present invention. The assembly S2 includes a frame 100 and an electronic device 150 removably coupleable to the frame 100.

The frame 100 is configured as a crib frame and includes opposing side portions or walls 102, 104 and opposing end portions or walls 106, 108. The side walls 102, 104 and end walls 106, 108, along with a base 110, collectively define an infant receiving area or portion 112. The infant receiving portion 112 is configured to receive an infant therein. Each of the side walls 102, 104 includes or defines a rail portion or support component 114, 116, respectively. Similarly, each of the end walls 106, 108 includes or defines a rail portion or support component 118, 120, respectively.

At least one of the support components 114, 116, 118, 120 includes an electrical connector coupled thereto. For example, as shown in FIG. 2, end wall 106 includes an electrical connector 122 coupled to its support component 118. The electrical connector 122 is electrically connected to a power source P (e.g. an electrical outlet or battery source).

In one implementation, wiring 123 (e.g. a power cord) electrically connecting the electrical connector 122 to the power source P extends through an internal cavity defined by the end wall 106, as shown in FIG. 2 in phantom, and exits a corresponding opening in a lower portion 106a of the end wall 106 for connection to the power source P (e.g. an electrical outlet). In this way, the power cord 123 is not accessible from the receiving portion 112. Further, a substantial portion of the wiring or power cord 123 is hidden from view, and thus the assembly S2 is safe and visually appealing for both the infant and the caregiver.

The electronic device 150 includes a mounting portion 152 and an activity portion 154 coupled to the mounting portion 152. The mounting portion 152 is removably mountable to the support component 118 of the end wall 106, so that the electronic device 150 is removably coupleable to the frame 100. In one embodiment, the mounting portion 152 of the electronic device 150 is configured to receive or be inserted into a portion of the support component 118 of the frame 100.

The mounting portion 152 includes an electrical connector 156 coupled thereto. The electrical connector 156 is electrically coupled to the activity portion 154. The electrical connector 156 of the electronic device 150 engages the electrical connector 122 of the support component 118 when the electronic device 150 is mounted to the frame 100. When the electronic device 150 is mounted to the frame 100, the electrical connectors 122, 156 are electrically coupled together, and power from the power source P is supplied to the activity portion 154 of the electronic device 150.

In one embodiment, the activity portion 154 includes a mobile 158, which is rotatable or movable via an associated motor powered by the power source P when the electrical connectors 122, 156 are engaged. Referring to FIG. 3, in another embodiment of the present invention, the activity portion of the electronic device 150 includes or is configured as a monitor 160, such as a video and/or audio baby monitor. Power for the monitor 160 is supplied via the power source P when the electrical connectors 122, 156 are engaged. In one embodiment, the monitor 160 has a connector, such as an A/C powered pin, that can be attached or coupled to the frame 100.

FIG. 4 illustrates a perspective view of an infant support structure assembly S3 according to another embodiment of the present invention. The assembly S3 includes a frame 200 and an electronic device 250 removably coupleable to the frame 200.

The frame 200 is configured as a crib frame and, similar to the support structure assembly S2, includes opposing side portions or walls 202, 204 and opposing end portions or walls 206, 208. The side walls 202, 204 and end walls 206, 208, along with a base 210, collectively define an infant receiving area 212 configured to receive an infant therein. Each of the side walls 202, 204 includes or defines a rail or upper portion 214, 216, respectively. Similarly, each of the end walls 206, 208 includes or defines a rail or upper portion 218, 220, respectively.

At least one of the upper portions 214, 216, 218, 220 includes an electrical connector coupled thereto. For example, end wall 208 includes an electrical connector 122 (shown in phantom) as described above and coupled to an inner surface 208a of the corresponding upper portion 220 and within the receiving area 212. The electrical connector 122 is electrically connected to a power source P (e.g. an electrical outlet or battery source), such as via wiring 123 extending through an internal cavity (as shown in phantom) defined by the end wall 208, and exiting through an associated opening therein proximate to a support surface G on which the frame 200 rests.

Referring to FIG. 5, the electronic device 250 includes a mounting portion 252 and an activity portion 254 coupled to the mounting portion 252. The mounting portion 252 is removably mountable to the inner surface 208a of the upper portion 220 of the end wall 208, so that the electronic device 250 is removably coupleable within the receiving area 212. The mounting portion 252 includes an electrical connector (e.g. electrical connector 156 as described above). The electrical connector 156 is electrically coupled to the activity portion 254 of the electronic device 250. Accordingly, when the electronic device 250 is mounted to the frame 200 and the electrical connectors 122, 156 are electrically coupled together, power from the power source P is supplied to the activity portion 254 of the electronic device 250.

In one embodiment, the activity portion 254 of the electronic device 250 includes or houses a light source 256. The activity portion 254 and/or the mounting portion 252 may include a control panel 258 for controlling operation of the light source 256. For example, as shown in FIG. 5A, the control panel 258 may include intensity adjustment buttons 260, 262 for increasing/decreasing brightness, and/or timer control buttons 264, 266 for selecting and setting an illumination time period. Power for illuminating the light source 256 is provided via the power source P when the electrical connectors 122, 156 are engaged.

FIG. 6 illustrates a perspective view of an infant support structure assembly S4 according to another embodiment of the present invention. The assembly S4 includes a frame 300 and an electronic device 350 removably coupleable to the frame 300.

The frame 300 of assembly S4 is configured as a changing table and includes an upper frame portion 302 having a receiving area or portion 304 configured for receiving an infant therein, and a lower frame portion 306 configured to engage a support surface G. The lower frame portion 306 may also include a storage area (e.g. shelves or drawers). The upper frame portion 302 includes opposing side walls 306, 308 and opposing end walls 310, 312.

At least one of the side walls 306, 308 and/or the end walls 310, 312 includes an electrical connector coupled thereto. For example, side wall 308 includes an electrical connector (e.g. electrical connector 122) as described above and coupled to an inner surface 308a thereof. The electrical connector 122 is electrically connected to a power source P via associated wiring 123 (with interiorly disposed portions shown in phantom).

The electronic device 350 is substantially the same as the electronic device 250 described above. Accordingly, the electronic device 350 includes a mounting portion 352 that is removably coupleable to the frame 300, and an activity portion 354 including a light source. The mounting portion 352 includes an electrical connector (e.g. electrical connector 156 as described above) coupled thereto, and engageable with the electrical connector 122 on the side wall 308. Accordingly, when the electronic device 350 is mounted to the frame 300 and the electrical connectors 122, 156 are electrically coupled together, power from the power source P is supplied to the activity portion 354 of the electronic device 350 so that the associated light source may be illuminated.

FIG. 7 illustrates a perspective view of an infant support structure assembly S5 according to another embodiment of the present invention. The assembly S5 includes a frame 400 configured as a dresser and at least one electronic device 450 removably coupleable to the frame 400.

The frame 400 includes opposing end portions 402, 404, a front portion 406 and an opposing rear portion (not shown), and a top portion 408 and an opposing bottom portion (not shown). The front portion 406 may include or be defined by a plurality of drawers. At least one of the end portions 402, 404, front 406 or rear portions, and/or top 408 or bottom portions includes an electrical connector coupled thereto. For example, the front portion 406 may include an electrical connector (e.g. electrical connector 122), as described above.

In one embodiment, the electronic device 450 includes a mounting portion 452 that is removably coupleable to the front portion 406 of the frame 400, and an activity portion 454 including a light source. The mounting portion 452 includes an electrical connector (e.g. electrical connector 156) coupled thereto, and engageable with the electrical connector 122 on the front portion 406. Accordingly, when the electronic device 450 is mounted to the frame 400 and the electrical connectors 122, 156 are electrically coupled together, power from the power source P is supplied to the activity portion 454 via associated wiring 123 so that the light source may be illuminated.

The assembly S5 may include additional electronic devices removably or fixedly coupled to the frame 400. For example, as shown in FIG. 8A, one or more of the drawers of the front portion 406 may include an auxiliary light source 458 that is coupled to the power source P. As shown, the auxiliary light source 458 may be coupled to an exterior surface 406a of the corresponding drawer and function as a drawer pull, while also illuminating the corresponding area near the front portion 406. Alternatively or in addition, as shown in FIG. 8B, an auxiliary light source 460 may be coupled to an interior surface 406b of the corresponding drawer, and illuminate the interior of the drawer, such as when the drawer is pulled to an open position.

The auxiliary light source 460 (or 458) may be housed within an associated mounting structure that includes an electrical connector 122. The interior surface 406b (or exterior surface 406a) includes an electrical connector 156. When the device or structure housing the light source 460 (or 458) is mounted to the corresponding surface 406b (or 406a) of the frame 400 and the electrical connectors 122, 156 are electrically coupled together, power from the power source P is supplied to the light source 460 (or 458) for illumination thereof.

In one embodiment, the assembly S5 includes an auxiliary entertainment device 480 removably coupleable to the end portion 402 (or end portion 404). The entertainment device 480 may be configured as a plate or panel including an exterior surface having indicia or images thereon. The assembly may include two or more entertainment devices including exterior surfaces with different indicia or images thereon. For example, the entertainment device 480 includes a first image on its exterior surface, and another entertainment device 480A includes a different image on its exterior surface. Accordingly, the imagery and thus resulting design on the frame 400 may be selected by coupling a selected one of the entertainment devices 480, 480A to the corresponding end portion 402 (and/or end portion 404).

In addition, the entertainment device 480 (and/or 480A) may include an electronic device, such as a light source, coupled to an electrical connector 156, as described above. The end portion 402 (and/or 404) may include an electrical connector 122. When the entertainment device 480 (and/or 480A) is mounted to the corresponding end portion 402 (and/or 404), the corresponding electrical connectors 122, 156 are electrically coupled together so that power from the power source P is supplied to the corresponding light source within entertainment devices 480 and 480A for illumination thereof.

It should be understood that the electronic devices of the disclosed embodiments are exemplary. Accordingly, various electronic devices suitable for the particular infant support structure or frame to which they are removably coupleable may be employed. Moreover, the specific configuration of the electronic device may vary depending on the desired application and function, and depending on the configuration of the frame to which it is mountable. Thus, mobiles, monitors, audio devices, light sources, projectors, entertainment devices including movable toys or other elements, or other devices including a component requiring or connectable to a power source, may be employed in the present invention.

The support structures contemplated by the invention include various frames or structures that can be used for children of different ages, and not just infants. Such frames or structures that have adaptive or custom modules that mount/couple and draw power from the frame or structure may include seats, chairs, benches, tables, beds, cots, and similar structures.

Although the disclosed inventions are illustrated and described herein as embodied in one or more specific examples, it is nevertheless not intended to be limited to the details shown, since various modifications and structural changes may be made therein without departing from the scope of the inventions and within the scope and range of equivalents of the claims. In addition, various features from one of the embodiments may be incorporated into another of the embodiments. Accordingly, it is appropriate that the appended claims be construed broadly and in a manner consistent with the scope of the disclosure as set forth in the following claims.

Claims

1. A system, comprising:

an infant support structure including: a frame having an upper portion and a lower portion, the lower portion being configured to engage a support surface, the upper portion being coupled to the lower portion and defining an infant receiving area in which an infant may be placed; and an electronic system coupled to the frame, the electronic system including an electrical contact and a power source connected to the electrical contact; and
an electronic infant device including an activity component and a mounting component, the mounting component being removably coupleable to the frame, the electronic infant device including an electrical contact, the electrical contact of the electronic infant device being connected to the electrical contact of the frame when the electronic infant device is coupled to the frame so that power can be supplied to the activity component of the electronic infant device.

The system of claim 1, wherein the upper portion includes a first side portion, a second side portion, a first end portion, and a second end portion, the side portions and the end portions collectively defining the infant receiving area therebetween, and the electrical contact of the frame is disposed on one of the end portions.

3. The system of claim 2, wherein one of the first end portion and the second end portion includes a rail portion, and the electrical contact of the frame is disposed on the rail portion.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein the upper portion of the frame includes a mounting portion, the mounting portion being configured to be coupled to the mounting component of the electronic infant device, and the electrical contact of the frame is placed on the mounting portion.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein the electronic infant device is one of a monitor or a light source.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the infant support structure is selected from the group consisting of a crib, a bassinet, a playard, and a changing table.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein the electronic infant device is a first electronic infant device, further comprising a second electronic infant device including an activity component and a mounting component, the activity component of the second electronic infant device being different than the activity component of the first electronic infant device, and the mounting component of the second electronic infant device being removably coupleable to the frame and including an electrical contact, the electrical contact of the second electronic infant device being connected to the electrical contact of the frame when the electronic infant device is coupled to the frame so that power can be supplied to the activity component of the second electronic infant device.

8. An infant support structure assembly comprising:

a frame including an infant receiving portion configured to receive an infant therein, the infant receiving portion including a support component extending along part of the infant receiving portion, the support component including an electrical connector coupled thereto, the electrical connector being connected to a power source; and
an electronic device removably coupleable to the frame, the electronic device including a mounting portion being mountable to the support component of the frame, and power being supplied from the power source to the electronic device when the electronic device is mounted to the frame and engages the electrical connector of the support component.

9. The infant support structure assembly of claim 8, wherein the frame is a crib frame and the infant receiving portion includes side walls and end walls, and the support component is a rail and is located along one of a side wall and an end wall.

10. The infant support structure assembly of claim 8, wherein the electronic device includes an electrical connector that engages the electrical connector of the support component when the electronic device is mounted to the frame.

11. The infant support structure assembly of claim 10, wherein the mounting portion of the electronic device is configured to receive a portion of the support component of the frame, and the electrical connector of the electronic device is coupled to the mounting portion of the electronic device.

12. The infant support structure assembly of claim 8, wherein the electronic device is selected from the group consisting of a monitor, a light source, an audio device, and a mobile.

13. The infant support structure assembly of claim 8, wherein the electronic device is a first electronic device, further comprising a second electronic device removably coupleable to the frame and different than the first electronic device, the second electronic device including a mounting portion being mountable to the support component of the frame, and power being supplied from the power source to the second electronic device when the second electronic device is mounted to the frame and engages the electrical connector of the support component.

The infant support structure assembly of claim 8, wherein the support component is a first support component, the infant receiving portion including a second support component including an electrical connector coupled thereto and coupled to the power source, the mounting portion of the electronic device being mountable to a selected one of the first support component or the second support component, and power being supplied from the power source to the electronic device when the electronic device is mounted to the frame and engages the electrical connector of the selected one of the first support component or the second support component.

15. An infant support structure comprising:

a lower frame portion configured to engage a support surface, the lower frame portion including a support member on which an infant can be placed; and
an upper frame portion, the upper frame portion including a wall portion extending along at least part of the lower frame portion, the wall portion including a rail portion configured to receive an electronic device thereon, the rail portion having an electrical connector disposed therein, the electrical connector being exposed relative to the rail portion, the electrical connector being electrically connected to a power source so that power is supplied to the electrical connector.

16. The infant support structure of claim 15, further comprising an electronic device, the electronic device including a mounting portion having an electrical connector, the mounting portion being configured to be coupled to the rail portion of the upper frame portion so that the electrical connector of the electronic device can be coupled to the electrical connector of the upper frame portion to supply power from the power source to the electronic device.

17. The infant support structure of claim 16, wherein the electronic device is selected from the group consisting of a monitor, a light source, an audio device, and a mobile.

18. The infant support structure of claim 15, wherein the infant support structure is selected from the group consisting of a crib, a bassinet, a playard, and a changing table.

19. The infant support structure of claim 15, further comprising a plurality of electronic devices, each of the electronic devices including a mounting portion having an electrical connector, the mounting portion being configured to be coupled to the rail portion of the upper frame portion so that the electrical connector of the electronic device can be coupled to the electrical connector of the upper frame portion to supply power from the power source to a corresponding one of the electronic devices.

20. The infant support structure of claim 15, wherein the wall portion is a first wall portion, the upper frame including a second wall portion including a rail portion configured to receive the electronic device thereon and having an electrical connector disposed therein, the electrical connector of the second wall portion being electrically connected to the power source so that power is supplied thereto.
