FIELD OF INVENTION

This invention aims to offer extension hair with multiple knots and its manufacturing method that fixes down the connecting string and the extension hair using the knot method of tying the connecting string on the extension hair, and maintains the knot for long periods of time without the extension hair attached in natural hair slipping by creating the knot using the above connecting string.

The other purpose of this invention is to prevent the extension hair attached in the natural hair from slipping using the knot method to connect the above extension hair and natural hair, and to offer the extension hair with multiple knots and hair transplant method that minimizes damages to natural hair when the attached extension hair is being removed.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

There are a wide variety of techniques and procedures to provide an individual with a fuller or longer appearing head of hair. In describing the invention and methods of supplementing natural hair growth, the natural hair growing on the head of an individual will be referred to as “scalp hair”, also medically designated as capillus or capilli. The simplest approach is to apply a wig or add hair pieces such as pony tails, braids or wefts. A permanent procedure is the use of hair plugs which are surgically implanted.

A temporary method suitable for longer periods of time is to sew or weave strands of natural hair or synthetic hair replacements into normal hair growing on the scalp. Alternatively, hair extensions may be adhesively secured to the scalp or hair growing from the scalp. A still further method is to use small clamps or clips for the attachment of strands or bundles of hair, referred to as a hair extensions, to multiple strands of scalp hair.

U.S. Pat. No. 4,934,387 shows the use of a thermoplastic glue, U.S. Pat. No. 5,072,745 discloses use of a hot melt adhesive, U.S. Pat. No. 5,575,298 uses a contact adhesive, U.S. Pat. No. 5,868,145 uses a liquid latex along with a cyanoacrylate adhesive, U.S. Pat. No. 6,405,736 and U.S. Published Applications 2002/0185146, 2001/0035192 and 2001/0037813 each disclose a self adhesive tape for attaching an extension or multiple extensions to the scalp. U.S. Pat. No. 5,107,867 describes the use of a thermosetting adhesive in combination with a heat shrinkable tubing. These techniques require the use of heat and/or solvents to reverse the attachment process.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,121,761 describes a method of attaching hair extensions which first requires securing anchors to multiple strands of hair attached to the scalp, forming the hair extensions into a single wide hair piece with an upper weave portion an attaching that weave portion to the anchors.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,894,846 describes the attachment of hair extensions to strands of knotted, scalp hair using heat shrinkable tubes. The hair is first knotted to form an enlarged portion that is readily trapped in the tubing after heat is applied to cause shrinking of the tubing.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,752,530 to Taintinger describes a process for attaching hair extensions to scalp hair which comprises using a clamping tool to temporarily clamp loose strands of a hair extension to gathered strands of hair near the scalp, placing the combined hair extension and scalp hair strands through a threading loop and then pulling that combination through a straight cylindrical sleeve. The hair extension and scalp hair are then trapped in the sleeve by crushing the cylindrical sleeve first into a U or V shape, with the bottom of the U or V extending along the length of the cylindrical sleeve (parallel to the hair strands), to loosely grasp the strands, sliding the sleeve along the strands until it is close to the scalp and then further folding the sleeve over on itself (i.e. folding the sleeve in half longitudinally) thus compressing the U or V shape, trapping the hair strands within the crushed, folded sleeve. Special pliers which includes a U or V shaped groove in one face and a matching anvil shaped extension in the other face of the plier jaws are used to form the tube into the desired hollow U or V configuration with the hair within the reshaped hollow cylinder. Another portion of the plier jaws is then used to complete the'formation of the folded U or V shaped cylinder. To undo the process the pointed tips of the pliers are used to unfold the folded U or V, releasing the compressive forces on the scalp hair and hair extension.

Each of the techniques disclosed in these referenced documents have problems in use and speed of application which are addressed by the current invention. The use of adhesives and the heat or chemicals described in previous published procedures required to attach or remove the hair extensions can be damaging to the natural hair and scalp. In addition, the adhesive materials also retain dirt and natural skin oils making them difficult to maintain in a clean manner. Heat shrinkable tubes are difficult to remove, particularly when the hair requires knotting and may necessitate cutting the natural hair to remove the extensions. Other tubular attachment means require additional tools for mounting the extensions and may be difficult and very time consuming for an individual to apply and remove.

Therefore, there is a need for a simple, fast and easy hair extension technique for adding hair extensions. The devices and procedure embodying features of the present invention meet these needs.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

This invention is about the extension hair with multiple knots, its manufacturing method and hair transplant method. In more detail, it is about the extension hair with multiple knots that can securely fix down itself by creating a knot with a connecting string in its central part, and for a long period of time by creating multiple knots with the above connecting string that prevents the extension hair attached in natural hair from becoming loosed or slipping, and its manufacturing method and the hair transplant method.

Generally speaking, hair loss occurs as human body ages and from the different degrees of stress due to substance abuse or psychological factors, and it evidently leads to exposure of the scalp where hair loss has occurred.

People have been using wigs or toupees to cover these ugly bald spots due to hair loss. Or, sometimes they have used procedures such as medical hair transplanting surgeries.

But, in these existing cases of using wigs or toupees have given inconveniences of wearing and taking off, and due to scalp being blocked off against outside, it has brought on uncomfortable feelings, and also there has been the requirement of regular maintenance of wigs or toupees.

Also, in the cases of medical surgeries of hair transplanting, the time for such procedures take too long and they cost high amounts of money, in addition to some of the negative side effects of hair transplanting.

In some cases, according to individual tastes, some parts of hair have been colorized with many different colors. In these cases, methods of dyeing parts of hair (also known as bridge), or different extension hair (hair made with multiple natural hair or artificial hair being cut in certain lengths and tied together in one bundle) (also known as attached hair) being attached to natural hair have been used.

In the above methods, when bridge is used, dyeing natural hair is required, so it is not possible to change the color before the natural hair grows, and to change the color before natural hair grows, the processes of bleaching and dyeing (coating) need to be repeated, so there are problems of the natural hair becoming damaged.

In addition, as the diagram 1 shows, the extension hair is fixed down in the upper part of the multiple artificial hair 1 by using the fixing device 2, but in the above fixing device 2, a different loop 3 is created to insert the natural hair into the above loop 3 to fix it down in a knot form.

So this kind of extension hair is being widely used with its capability of creating some parts of hair with many different colors and controlling the lengths of some parts or the entire hair.

But, this existing extension hair has the problems of slipping or its knot becoming loose when it is fixed down on natural hair in a knot form, which leads to separating from natural hair when used for long periods of time.

To solve these problems, diagrams 2 shows the final completion figure of extension hairs in embodiment 1 according to this invention.

As the diagram 2 shows, the extension hair is fixed down on the upper part of the multiple artificial hair 1 using the fixing device 2, and in the above fixing device 2, a separate loop 3 is created by rotating twice, and in the loop 3, a knot 4 is created to prevent the knot from becoming loose.

However, this existing extension hair requires the fixing device 3 to connect the artificial hair 1 and the loop 3, so in situation where the extension hair is attached, it has the problems of the fixing device 2 being exposed to the outside, leading to lowering the quality of overall view.

And there is another case when extension hair is attached using a separate adhesive such as silicon, but the adhesive will be shown to the outside when it is used and accordingly is not a good fit for overall view, and in places where temperatures are high, the adhesives will melt and attach to the surrounding hair (both natural and artificial) which also will lead to the hair being entangled together.

This invention aims to solve the above mentioned problems, and it aims to offer extension hair with multiple knots and its manufacturing method that fixes down the connecting string and the extension hair using the knot method of tying the connecting string on the center part of the extension hair, and maintains the knot for long periods of time without the extension hair attached in natural hair slipping by creating the knot using the above connecting string.

The other purpose of this invention is to prevent the extension hair attached in the natural hair from slipping using the knot method to connect the above extension hair and natural hair, and to offer the extension hair with multiple knots and hair transplant method that minimizes damages to natural hair when the attached extension hair is being removed.

The following descriptions explain the special features of this invention that aims to achieve the above mentioned goals.

This invention's extension hair that has multiple knots is constructed by including the connecting loop created by rotating the cutting part of the multiple artificial hair which were folded in half; the connecting knot created by cross-tying the cutting part of the connecting string to fix down the artificial hair and the connecting string after passing through the connecting string into the above the connecting loop; the number 1 loop created by rotating the center part of the connecting string which the above connecting knot created; and the fixed knot created by cross-tying the cutting part of the above connecting string.

In addition, the manufacturing method of this invention's extension hair with multiple knots consists the step in which the multiple numbers of extension hair are folded in half, and the cutting part is rotated to create the connecting loop; and the step in which the connecting knot is created by cross-tying the connecting string's cutting part to fix down the extension hair and the connecting string after passing through the connecting string inside the connecting loop; and the step which the first loop is created when the above connecting knot rotates the center part of the already created connecting sitting; and finally the step in which the fixed knot is created by cross-tying the cutting part of the connecting string.

Also, the hair transplanting method of this invention's extension hair with multiple knots consists the step in which the extension hair's loop part fixed down by knotting method of multiple artificial hair and the connecting string is inserted into the supporting part of the knitting needle; the step in which the number 1 fixed loop is created by hanging the natural hair in the hanging loop created in the upper part of the above knitting needle and pulling the knitting needle; the step in which the number 2 fixed loop is created by inserting the number 1 fixed loop into the supporting part of the above knitting needle and hanging the knitting needle's hanging loop in the natural hair near the hair root and pulling the knitting needle; the step in which the connecting string and the natural hair's upper part are passed through the inside of the number 2 fixed loop by inserting the number 2 fixed loop on the above knitting needle's supporting part and hanging a pair of connecting strings and the natural hair's upper part in the hanging loop of the knitting needle and pulling the knitting needle; and the step in which the knot to prevent loosening is created by cross-tying a pair of connecting strings' upper parts to circumvent the above artificial hair.

More detailed descriptions of this invention that has the above features are as follows.

Diagram 3 to diagram 12 show the manufacturing processes of the extension hairs in embodiment 2 according to this invention.

As referred by here, this invention consists multiple numbers of artificial hair 10, and the above artificial hair 10 is used by cutting the extension hair or natural hair in certain lengths, and depending on need, they can be dyed or coated with many different colors of expressions.

First, the multiple numbers of artificial hair 10 are folded in half, and its cutting part is rotated to create the connecting loop 11 as shown in the diagram 3. And, the connecting string 20 is passed into the inside of the above connecting loop 11 as shown in the diagram 4, and after putting the center part of the above connecting string 20 in the connecting loop 11, the cutting part of the connecting string 20 is crossed to the arrow direction as shown in the diagram 4.

In other words, the connecting string 20 is tied and the connecting knot 21 is created in the connecting loop 11 as shown in the diagram 6 when the cutting part of the above connecting string 20 is crossed as the diagram 5 indicates and the cutting part of the connecting string 20 is pulled.

So at this moment, when the connecting knot 21 is rotated to the arrow direction as in the diagram 6 to circumvent the connecting string 20, the number 1 loop 22 is created in the above connecting string 20 as indicated by the diagram 7.

And, as the diagram 8 shows, the number 2 loop 23 is created by passing the connecting string 20 inside the number 1 loop 22, and after creating the number 3 loop 24 by passing the connecting string 20 to the inside of the above number 2 loop 23 as the diagram 9 shows, the number 4 loop 25 is created as the diagram 10 indicates.

Also, as indicated in the diagram 11, the fixed knot 26 is created by crossing the cutting part of the above connecting string 20, and the cutting part of the above connecting string 20 in the above fixed knot 26 should be crossed more than two times, with which the above mentioned processes will lead to completion of manufacturing the extension hair as shown in the diagram 12.

Diagram 13 to diagram 23 show the processes of attaching the extension hair according to this invention on to the natural hair with embodiment 1 and embodiment 2.

When transplanting the extension hair that was manufactured through the above mentioned processes, as indicated in the diagram 13, the extension hair's loop part 27 is inserted in the knitting needle's 30 supporting part 31, and the natural hair 40 is hanged in the hanging loop 32 created in the upper part of the knitting needle 30, but it should be that the natural hair 40 that is hanged in the above hanging loop 32 be hanged near the scalp 50. Because with natural hair 40 growing over time, it is designed to maintain the transplanted condition for long period of time.

When the knitting needle 30 is pulled in this situation, as indicated in the diagram 14, the natural hair 40 passes through the loop part 27 and the number 1 fixed loop 41 is created, and when the above knitting needle 30 is pushed, as indicated in the diagram 15, the above number 1 fixed loop 41 is inserted in the supporting part 31 of the knitting needle 30.

And as indicated in the diagram 16, when the hanging loop 32 of the knitting needle 30 is hanged in the natural hair 40 close to hair root and the knitting needle 30 is pulled, the number 2 fixed loop 42 is created as shown in the diagram 17, and when the above knitting needle 30 is pushed as indicated in the diagram 18, the number 2 fixed loop 42 is inserted in the supporting part 31 of the knitting needle 30.

And also, as the diagram 19 indicates, a pair of connecting strings 20 and the upper part of natural hair 40 are hanged in the hanging loop 32 of the knitting needle 30, but when the above connecting string 20 and the natural hair 40 are hanged in the hanging loop 32, they should be hanged in the same direction as the natural hair 40 close to the hair root, because, in this way, it is easier to remove the extension hair that has been previously transplanted.

In this condition, when the above knitting needle 30 is pulled, the connecting string 20 and the upper part of natural hair 40 pass through the inside of the number 2 fixed loop 42 as the diagram 20 indicates.

In diagram 21 to diagram 23, the knot to prevent loosening 43 is created to stop the above extension from loosening, but in this case, the upper parts of a pair of connecting strings 20 are cross-tied as in circumventing the above artificial hair 10, and the above knot to prevent loosening 43 should be created by cross-tying the cutting part of the connecting string 20 at least two times.

As described so far, the extension hair of this invention creates the knot using the artificial hair 10 and the connecting string 20 without using separate fixing device or adhesives. Also, different colors of extension hair can be attached to certain parts of this invention's artificial hair, so that they are able to present different individual tastes.

In addition, it prevents separate fixing device that connects the artificial hair and the loop part from exposing even when multiple numbers of extension hair are attached, and it allows free movement even in places with high temperatures.

As described above, this invention not only fixes down the artificial hair and the connecting string with a knot, but also creates multiple knots in the loop that connects the extension hair and the natural hair, so that when the extension hair is attached in the natural hair, it prevents the knot part of the above natural hair and the extension hair from loosening or slipping, which lead to the unique benefit of maintaining the individual taste using the extension hair for long periods of time.

In addition, this invention fixes down the artificial hair and the connecting string with a knot, so that it prevents from exposing to the outside after attaching to the natural hair, and also has the unique benefit of preventing the hair from changing or entangling in places with high temperatures.

Although the description above contains many specifications, these should not be construed as limiting the scope of the invention but as merely providing illustrations of some of presently preferred embodiments of this invention. For instance, the materials used to create the band and the hair grouping device may vary. Thus, the scope of the invention should be determined by the appended claims and their legal equivalents rather than by the examples given.
