DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENTS

Various aspects of the illustrative embodiments will be described using terms commonly employed by those skilled in the art to convey the substance of their work to others skilled in the art. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced with only some of the described aspects. For purposes of explanation, specific numbers, materials and configurations are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the illustrative embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments.

Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention however the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. In particular, these operations need not be performed in the order of presentation.

The phrase “in one embodiment” is used repeatedly. The phrase generally does not refer to the same embodiment, however, it may. The terms “comprising”, “having” and “including” are synonymous, unless the context dictates otherwise.

FIG. 1 illustrates a side environmental perspective view of a novelty joke squirtgun 100, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.

The novelty joke squirtgun 100 may be utilized by a user 110 to attempt to squirt an object or a person or other suitable target. The novelty joke squirtgun 100 may instead squirt the user 110 unexpectedly surprising the user 110 who may be attempting to squirt the object or the person with the novelty joke squirtgun 100. The novelty joke squirtgun 100 may be waterproof and made of plastic or other suitable material.

FIG. 2 illustrates a side perspective view of a novelty joke squirtgun 200, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.

The novelty joke squirtgun 200 may include a base squirt gun 210, a first aperture 220 and a second aperture 230. The base squirt gun 210 may have a hollow interior 212, a pull trigger 214, a handle 216 and a barrel 218. The hollow interior 212 may contain water or other suitable squirting liquid. The pull trigger 214 may be in communication with a pump assembly 214A that emits water or other suitable squirting liquid from the base squirt gun 210. The handle 216 may be grasped by a user (FIG. 1, 110) to aim the novelty joke squirtgun 200. The barrel 218 may include a front sight 218A and a rear sight 218B to assist the user in aiming the novelty joke squirtgun 200. The first aperture 220 may be disposed on a front portion 210A of the base squirt gun 210. The first aperture 220 may include a fill cap 220A that prevents water or other suitable squirting liquid from dispersing from the first aperture 220. The fill cap 220A may also be removed to receive water or other suitable squirting liquid to fill the hollow interior 212 with water or other suitable squirting liquid and retain the water or other suitable squirting liquid within the hollow interior 212. The second aperture 230 may be disposed on a rear portion 210B of the base squirt gun 210. The second aperture 230 may include a dummy fill cap 230A that plugs the second aperture 230 that may allow water or other suitable squirting liquid to disperse from the second aperture 230. The second aperture 230 may disperse water or other suitable squirting liquid from the hollow interior 212 after the pull trigger 214 may be squeezed to activate a pump assembly 214A that emits water or other suitable squirting liquid from the second aperture 230. This results in water or other suitable squirting liquid being dispersed at the user (FIG. 1, 110) of the novelty joke squirtgun 200 after squeezing the pull trigger 214. This is in contrast to a traditional squirtgun (not shown) that disperses water or other suitable squirting liquid from the front portion 210A of the base squirt gun 210 thereby surprising the user (FIG. 1, 110) squirting themselves.

The novelty joke squirtgun is filled with water or other suitable squirting liquid from a first aperture located in the front of the novelty joke squirtgun. Once the novelty joke squirtgun is filled with water or other suitable squirting liquid and the fill cap is latched into place the trigger is pulled and the water will squirt from the dummy cap located at the rear of the water gun. This is why the water gun that squirts backward is a joke and gags novelty item.

While the present invention has been related in terms of the foregoing embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described. The present invention can be practiced with modification and alteration within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Thus, the description is to be regarded as illustrative instead of restrictive on the present invention.
