ELASTIC DOPE DYED YARN COMPOSITE OF TWO COLORS AND PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING SAME

An elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors and process of manufacturing same is provided. The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors includes an SDY having fibers being dope dyed, a POY drawn from dope dyed synthetic materials; and an elastic yarn. The SDY, the POY, and the elastic yarn are twisted together to form the elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors. The process is water saving and energy saving and causes no pollution. The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors is light in weight and is capable of keeping warm, and has a high elasticity.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The invention relates to yarn production and more particularly to an elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors and process of manufacturing same, the process being energy saving and causing no pollution, and the elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors having advantages of keeping warm and high elasticity.

2. Description of Related Art

Dope dyed fiber composite being applicable to thermoplastic fiber composite, has at least two cross sections of different fibers, in which one cross section is dyed by dope dye, a dye effect of different textures or speckles is formed on the fiber composite.

While the conventional fiber composite can be mass produced with no discharge being polluted, it is low in warm keeping capability and has a low elasticity. Thus, the need for improvement still exists.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is therefore one object of the invention to provide an elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors comprising a spin drawn yarn (SDY) (color yarn) having fibers being dope dyed and having fiber specifications of 50-150d/38-58f; a partial oriented yarn (POY) (hollow yarn) drawn from a direct spinning dope dyed masterbatch or from a dope dyed synthetic materials, the POY having fiber specifications of 50-150d/38-58f; and an elastic yarn of high elasticity, the elastic yarn having fiber specifications of 40-70d/2-4f; wherein the SDY, the POY, and the elastic yarn are twisted together to form the elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors.

It is another object of the invention to provide a process of manufacturing an elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors, comprising the steps of conveying an SDY (color yarn) to a second rotating spinning drums unit via a first rotating spinning drums unit; conveying a POY to the second rotating spinning drums unit to join the SDY via a third rotating spinning drums unit, a heater, and a false twister; conveying an elastic yarn to the second rotating spinning drums unit to join the SDY and the POY via a fourth rotating spinning drums unit; conveying the joined SDY, the POY, and the elastic yarn to an airjet; and activating the airjet to twist and integrate the joined SDY, the POY, and the elastic yarn as an elastic dope dyed yarn composite having two colors.

By utilizing the invention, the following advantages can be obtained: Different colors, gray levels, and/or shading can be obtained. Simple structure can be obtained. Warm keeping and high elasticity can be obtained without having disadvantages associated with the conventional fiber composite such as low warm keeping and low elasticity.

The above and other objects, features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, an elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors and process of manufacturing same in accordance with the invention is shown. The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors 1 has fiber specifications of 50-150d/75-115f. Preferably, the fiber specifications are 130d/96f. The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors 1 includes a spin drawn yarn (SDY) (color yarn) 11 having fibers being dope dyed in a water saving process. The SDY 11 has fiber specifications of 50-150d/38-58f. Preferably, the fiber specifications are 75d/48f. The SDY 11 is formed of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT), acetyl (AC), rayon, nylon, or polypropylene (PP).

The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors 1 further comprises a partial oriented yarn (POY) (hollow yarn) 12 drawn from a direct spinning dope dyed masterbatch or from a dope dyed synthetic materials. The POY 12 is very light in weight and has a warm keeping capability. Its fiber specifications are 50-150d/38-58f. Preferably, its fiber specifications are 50d/48f. Preferably, the POY 12 is formed of PET, PBT, PTT, AC, rayon, nylon, or PP. The POY 12 has a porosity of at least 10%. The POY 12 has a color different from that of the SDY 11.

The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors 1 further comprises an elastic yarn 13 having a very high elasticity. The elastic yarn 13 has fiber specifications of 40-70d/2-4f. Preferably, its fiber specifications are 40d/3f. Preferably, the elastic yarn 13 is formed of propylene oxide (PO), Spandex, or Lycra. The SDY 11, the POY 12, and the elastic yarn 13 are twisted together to form the elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors 1.

The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors 1 is made by the twisting the SDY 11 and the POY 12 together to form a half finished composite wherein the POY 12 has a color different from that of the SDY 11, and twisting the half finished composite and the elastic yarn 13 together to form the elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors 1. Preferably, the fiber specifications of the elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors 1 are 130d/96f. Regarding its constituent components, preferably, the fiber specifications of the SDY 11 are 75d/48f, the fiber specifications of the POY 12 are 50d/48f, and the fiber specifications of the elastic yarn 13 are 40d/3f.

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2 specifically, a process of the manufacturing the elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors 1 in accordance with the invention is illustrated. As illustrated, the SDY (color yarn) 11 is conveyed to a second rotating spinning drums unit 112 via a first rotating spinning drums unit 111; the POY 12 is conveyed to the second rotating spinning drums unit 112 to join the SDY 11 via a third rotating spinning drums unit 113, a heater 113A, and a false twister 115; the elastic yarn 13 is conveyed to the second rotating spinning drums unit 112 to join the SDY 11 and the POY (hollow yarn) 12 via a fourth rotating spinning drums unit 114; the joined SDY 11, the POY 12, and the elastic yarn 13 are conveyed to an airjet 116 which twists and integrates the joined SDY 11, the POY 12, and the elastic yarn 13 as an elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors 1; and the elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors 1 is conveyed to and wind on a spool 117.

The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors 1 of the invention has the following advantages: Different colors, gray levels, and/or shading can be obtained. Simple structure can be obtained. Warm keeping and high elasticity can be obtained without having disadvantages associated with the conventional fiber composite such as low warm keeping and low elasticity. Aesthetics can be obtained.

While the invention has been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention can be practiced with modifications within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.

Claims

1. An elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors comprising:

A spin drawn yarn having fibers being dope dyed and having fiber specifications of 50-150d/38-58f;
A partial oriented yarn drawn from dope dyed synthetic materials, the partial oriented yarn having fiber specifications of 50-150d/38-58f; and
an elastic yarn of high elasticity, the elastic yarn having fiber specifications of 40-70d/2-4f;
wherein the spin drawn yarn, the partial oriented yarn and the elastic yarn are twisted together to form the elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors.

2. The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors of claim 1, wherein the elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors having fiber specifications of 50-150d/75-115f, and preferably, the elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors having fiber specifications of 130d/96f.

3. The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors of claim 1, wherein the spin drawn yarn preferably has fiber specifications are 75d/48f.

4. The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors of claim 1, wherein the partial oriented yarn preferably has fiber specifications are 50d/48f.

5. The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors of claim 1, wherein the elastic yarn preferably has the fiber specifications are 40d/3f.

6. The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors of claim 1, wherein each of the SDY and the partial oriented yarn are formed of polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, polytrimethylene terephthalate, acetyl, rayon, nylon, or polypropylene.

7. The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors of claim 1, wherein the partial oriented yarn has a porosity of at least 10%.

8. The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors of claim 1, wherein the elastic yarn is formed of propylene oxide, Spandex, or Lycra.

9. The elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors of claim 9, wherein the partial oriented yarn is drawn from a direct spinning dope dyed masterbatch.

10. A process of manufacturing an elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors, comprising the steps of:

conveying a spin drawn yarn to a second rotating spinning drums unit via a first rotating spinning drums unit;
conveying a partial oriented yarn to the second rotating spinning drums unit to join the spin drawn yarn via a third rotating spinning drums unit, a heater, and a false twister;
conveying an elastic yarn to the second rotating spinning drums unit to join the SDY and the partial oriented yarn via a fourth rotating spinning drums unit;
conveying the joined spin drawn yarn, the partial oriented yarn, and the elastic yarn to an airjet; and
activating the airjet to twist and integrate the joined spin drawn yarn, the partial oriented yarn, and the elastic yarn as an elastic dope dyed yarn composite having two colors.

11. The process of claim 10, wherein the elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors having fiber specifications of 50-150d/75-115f, and preferably, the elastic dope dyed yarn composite of two colors having fiber specifications of 130d/96f.

12. The process of claim 10, wherein the spin drawn yarn preferably has fiber specifications are 75d/48f.

13. The process of claim 10, wherein the partial oriented yarn preferably has fiber specifications are 50d/48f.

14. The process of claim 10, wherein the elastic yarn preferably has the fiber specifications are 40d/3f.

15. The process of claim 10, wherein each of the spin drawn yarn and the partial oriented yarn are formed of polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, polytrimethylene terephthalate, acetyl, rayon, nylon, or polypropylene.

16. The process of claim 10, wherein the partial oriented yarn has a porosity of at least 10%.

17. The process of claim 10, wherein the yarn is formed of propylene oxide, Spandex, or Lycra.

18. The process of claim 10, wherein the partial oriented yarn is drawn from a direct spinning dope dyed masterbatch.
