A carrying case includes a mounting plane and a receiving portion. The receiving portion is formed by a recess of the mounting plane. The receiving portion and the mounting plane are located on the outside surface of the carrying case. The receiving portion is configured to receive a tablet computer. The mounting plane and a display of the tablet computer are in a plane.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application claims priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 201510022569.2 filed on Jan. 17, 2015, the contents of which are incorporated by reference herein.

FIELD

The subject matter herein generally relates to a carrying case and a case assembly.

BACKGROUND

The carrying case is widely used in everyday life, for example, the carrying case can be used in travel.

FIG. 1 is an isometric view of one embodiment of a carrying case and a tablet computer.

It will be appreciated that for simplicity and clarity of illustration, where appropriate, reference numerals have been repeated among the different figures to indicate corresponding or analogous elements. In addition, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the embodiments described herein. However, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that the embodiments described herein can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, methods, procedures, and components have not been described in detail so as not to obscure the related relevant feature being described. Also, the description is not to be considered as limiting the scope of the embodiments described herein. The drawings are not necessarily to scale and the proportions of certain parts may be exaggerated to better illustrate details and features of the present disclosure.

Several definitions that apply throughout this disclosure will now be presented.

The term “substantially” is defined to be essentially conforming to the particular dimension, shape, or other feature that the term modifies, such that the component need not be exact. For example, “substantially cylindrical” means that the object resembles a cylinder, but can have one or more deviations from a true cylinder. The term “comprising” when utilized, means “including, but not necessarily limited to”; it specifically indicates open-ended inclusion or membership in the so-described combination, group, series and the like.

The present disclosure is described in relation to a carrying case.

FIG. 1-FIG. 3 illustrate one embodiment of a carrying case 20. The carrying case 20 is configured to receive a tablet electronic device, such as a tablet computer 10. The tablet computer 10 includes a display 12.

The carrying case 20 includes a top cover 22 and a bottom cover 24. The top cover 22 is slidably connected to the bottom cover 24. The top cover 22 and the bottom cover 24 cooperatively define a receiving space 26. The top cover 22 includes a body 220 and a handle 222. The handle 222 extends from the body 220. The body 220 includes a mounting plane 2202, four side plates 2204, and a bottom plate 2206. The bottom plate 2206 is substantially parallel to the mounting plane 2202. Each side plate 2204 is substantially perpendicular to the mounting plane 2202. The four side plates 2204 and the bottom plate 2206 cooperatively define a receiving portion 2208. The receiving portion 2208 is formed by a recess of the mounting plane 2202. In an embodiment, the handle 222 can be substantially U-shaped. The four side plates 2204 can be made of elastic material. The carrying case 20 is substantially cuboid. A volume of the tablet computer 10 is substantially equal to a volume of the receiving portion 2208. The receiving space 26 can receive clothes or files. The carrying case 20 can be a suitcase or a briefcase.

When the carrying case 20 is in use, the tablet computer 10 is received in the receiving portion 2208. The four side plates 2204 engage with the tablet computer 10 to prevent the tablet computer 10 from moving relative to the receiving portion 2208. The display 12 and the mounting plane 2202 are substantially aligned on a plane. The carrying case 20 is located on a supporting plane. The tablet computer 10 is substantially parallel or perpendicular to the supporting plane. The carrying case 20 covers the tablet computer 10 to prevent damage.

The tablet computer 10 can be removed from the receiving portion 2208 and be received in the receiving space 26. When the top cover 22 and the bottom cover 24 are closed, the tablet computer 10 is located in the carrying case 20.

FIG. 4 illustrates another embodiment of the carrying case 20. The tablet computer 10 further includes a shell 14. The shell 14 can be made of metallic material. The body 220 further includes two magnetic members 2209. The two magnetic members 2209 are built into the receiving portion 2208. The shell 14 is engaged with the two magnetic members 2209 to prevent the tablet computer 10 from moving relative to the receiving portion 2208.

The embodiments shown and described above are only examples. Many details are often found in the art such as the other features of a carrying case. Therefore, many such details are neither shown nor described. Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present technology have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the present disclosure, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in the details, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of the parts within the principles of the present disclosure, up to and including the full extent established by the broad general meaning of the terms used in the claims. It will therefore be appreciated that the embodiments described above may be modified within the scope of the claims.

Claims

1. A carrying case comprising:

a mounting plane defining a recess; and
a receiving portion, the receiving portion disposed within the recess of the mounting plane, and configured to receive a tablet electronic device having a display,
wherein the receiving portion and the mounting plane are located on an outer surface of the carrying case, and the mounting plane and the display of the tablet electronic device are aligned in a plane.

2. The carrying case of claim 1, wherein the carrying case further comprises a top cover, the top cover comprises four side plates, the four side plates are located on an edge of the receiving portion, the four side plates are made of elastic material, the four side plates are engaged with the tablet computer.

3. The carrying case of claim 1, wherein the carrying case further comprises two magnetic members, the two magnetic members inbuilt in the receiving portion, a shell of the tablet computer is made of metallic material, and the shell is engaged with the two magnetic members.

4. The carrying case of claim 1, wherein the carrying case further comprises a body and a handle, and the handle extends from the body.

5. The carrying case of claim 4, wherein the handle is substantially U-shaped.

6. The carrying case of claim 1, wherein the carrying case further comprises a top cover and a bottom cover, and the top cover is configured to rotate relative to the bottom cover.

7. The carrying case of claim 6, wherein the top cover and the bottom cover cooperatively define a receiving space, and the tablet computer is configured to receive in the receiving space.

8. The carrying case of claim 1, wherein the carrying case is substantially cuboid.

9. A case assembly comprising:

a tablet computer comprising a display; and
a carrying case having an outer surface, the carrying case comprising:
a mounting plane defining a recess, the mounting plane and the display aligned in a plane; and
a receiving portion configured to receive the tablet computer, the receiving portion formed within the recess of the mounting plane, wherein the receiving portion and the mounting plane are located on the outer surface of the carrying case.

10. The case assembly of claim 9, wherein the carrying case further comprises a top cover, the top cover comprises four side plates, the four side plates are located on an edge of the receiving portion, the four side plates are made of elastic material, the four side plates are engaged with the tablet computer.

11. The case assembly of claim 9, wherein the carrying case further comprises two magnetic members, the two magnetic members inbuilt in the receiving portion, the tablet computer further comprises a shell, the shell is made of metallic material, and the shell is engaged with the two magnetic members.

12. The case assembly of claim 9, wherein the carrying case further comprises a body and a handle, and the handle extends from the body.

13. The case assembly of claim 12, wherein the handle is substantially U-shaped.

14. The case assembly of claim 9, wherein the carrying case further comprises a top cover and a bottom cover, and the top cover is configured to rotate relative to the bottom cover.

15. The case assembly of claim 14, wherein the top cover and the bottom cover cooperatively define a receiving space, and the tablet computer is configured to receive in the receiving space.

16. The case assembly of claim 9, wherein the carrying case is substantially cuboid.
