BRUSH FOR APPLYING MAKEUP

Proposed is a brush for applying makeup. The brush according to the present disclosure includes: a large brush (100); a receiving space (140) formed along a length direction of the large brush (100) at a position corresponding to or eccentric from a center of the large brush (100) so that the receiving space (140) is open at upper and lower ends thereof and at a side of a circumference thereof; and a small brush (200) configured to be coupled to the large brush (100) in a direction from top to bottom of the receiving space (140) so as to coincide with a disposition direction of the large brush (100) so that the small brush (200) is used in conjunction with the large brush (100) as one integrated brush (300), or separated from the large brush (100) in a direction from bottom to top thereof and selectively used.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Technical Field

The present disclosure relates generally to a brush for applying makeup and, more particularly, to a two-in-one type makeup brush that enables a user to simultaneously use the brush on a large area and a small area of his/her face.

2. Description of the Related Art

In general, women apply makeup in the order, starting with lotion or cream-type cosmetics and ending with powder-type cosmetics. At this time, the powder-type cosmetics do not mix evenly with the cream-type cosmetics, causing agglomeration. For this reason, it is common to use powder puffs or makeup brushes to finish applying makeup.

However, such powder puffs are not easy to spread powder thinly and evenly over the skin surface, and thus are difficult to use for those who are not very adept in makeup application skills. Therefore, most women use makeup brushes that provide a soft touch and an even finish to the face compared to the puffs.

In particular, in the case of point makeup cosmetics which are applied to partial areas of the face, applying the cosmetics with makeup brushes rather than powder puffs is common. At this time, a large brush is used on large areas such as cheeks and forehead of the face, and a small brush is used on small areas such as eyes, nose, lips, chin, and wrinkled areas of the face.

Therefore, most users have several makeup brushes of various sizes and shapes and use the brushes depending on their purposes of use when applying makeup. At home, several different makeup brushes can be arranged on a dressing table and selectively used as needed. However, it is difficult for the user to store and carry several brushes when going out, and it is inconvenient for the user to find and use desired brushes one by one. In particular, a large brush and a small brush, for example, which are the most commonly used among numerous makeup brushes, are difficult to quickly find and use.

In an effort to alleviate such inconvenience, an example of a makeup brush is disclosed in the related art (Korean Patent Publication No. KR 10-1378398 B1). This patent discloses a makeup brush, including a large brush exposed upward from a casing body, a small brush provided at the center of the large brush, with an upper surface thereof on the same plane as an upper surface of the large brush, the casing body to which the large brush is mounted in a state in which the small brush is accommodated therein, and a rotary body rotatably formed at a lower end of the casing body, wherein the small brush enters and exits the upper surface of the large brush in conjunction with left and right rotation of the rotary body, and when exposed, stands upright at the center of the large brush, so that a user can simultaneously use the brush on large and small areas of his/her face (reference numerals used herein can be seen in the drawings of this patent).

According to such a makeup brush, since one brush (i.e., two-in-one makeup brush) can be used simultaneously on the large area and the small area of the face, the ease of operation and portability of the brush are improved.

However, in the case of the related-art two-in-one makeup brush, due to the structure in which the small brush enters and exits the center of the upper surface of the large brush in conjunction with the left and right rotation of the rotary body, there is a disadvantage in that the large brush and the small brush cannot be operated and used separately.

In other words, the fact that the large brush and the small brush cannot be operated and used separately means that the large brush and the small brush cannot be used selectively during application of point makeup cosmetics depending on the degree or condition in which color of a cosmetic material is dark or light or concentration thereof is high or low. Therefore, there is a disadvantage in that the range of use is limited.

In addition, in the related art, in order to implement the two-in-one makeup brush so that the small brush enters and exits the center of the upper surface of the large brush in conjunction with the left and right rotation of the rotary body, many parts, such as the casing body, a brush exposure casing, a brush holder, a lifting body, a support, and the rotary body, are used. Therefore, there is a disadvantage in that product volume and manufacturing cost are increased, and it is difficult to use in case rotary parts thereof are damaged or fail.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly, the present disclosure has been made keeping in mind the above problems occurring in the related art, and an objective of the present disclosure is to provide a brush for applying makeup, wherein a small brush is coupled to a large brush through a receiving space formed in the large brush to be used in conjunction with the large brush as one integrated brush, or is separated from the large brush so that the large brush and the small brush are used separately depending on their purposes of use, thus allowing a user to apply different colors or concentrations of point makeup cosmetics by using two types of brushes.

Another objective of the present disclosure is to provide a brush for applying makeup, wherein a small brush is coupled to a large brush in a direction from top to bottom or separated therefrom in a direction from bottom to top, through a receiving space formed in the large brush, without requiring provision of a separate part, so that product volume and manufacturing cost are minimized, and damage or failure of parts of the brush is prevented during use.

In order to accomplish the above objectives, according to an aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a brush for applying makeup, the brush including: a large brush; a receiving space formed along a length direction of the large brush at a position corresponding to or eccentric from a center of the large brush so that the receiving space is open at upper and lower ends thereof and at a side of a circumference thereof; and a small brush configured to be coupled to the large brush in a direction from top to bottom of the receiving space so as to coincide with a disposition direction of the large brush so that the small brush is used in conjunction with the large brush as one integrated brush, or separated from the large brush in a direction from bottom to top thereof and selectively used.

The large brush may include: a first handle part having a predetermined length; a first extension part extending to a predetermined length from a side of the first handle part; and a first brush tip part fixed to a side of the first extension part.

The receiving space may be configured as one receiving space that extends across the first handle part, the first extension part, and the first brush tip part along length directions thereof.

A cutout portion may be formed at a side of the circumference of the receiving space along a length direction of the receiving space.

A first inclined surface having a predetermined angle may be formed on a portion of an inner circumference of the receiving space corresponding to the first extension part by gradually widening from the first handle part toward the first brush tip part.

The small brush may include: a second handle part having a predetermined length; a second extension part extending to a predetermined length from a side of the second handle part; and a second brush tip part fixed to a side of the second extension part.

A second inclined surface having a predetermined angle may be formed on the second extension part by gradually widening from the second handle part toward the second brush tip part so that the second inclined surface may be seated on the first inclined surface.

A guide protrusion may be formed on an inner circumference of the first inclined surface, and a guide groove may be formed at a side of an outer circumference of each of the second handle part and the second extension part so as to be coupled to or separated from the guide protrusion.

The guide protrusion may include guide protrusions vertically arranged along the inner circumference of the first inclined surface at positions spaced apart from each other at an angular interval of 180°.

The guide groove may include guide grooves vertically arranged along the outer circumference of each of the second handle part and the second inclined surface at positions spaced apart from each other at an angular interval of 180°.

According to the present disclosure, when applying makeup on large areas such as cheeks and forehead of the face, the small brush is coupled to the large brush through the receiving space of the large brush and can be used in conjunction with the large brush as one integrated brush, and when applying makeup on small areas such as eyes, nose, lips, chin, and wrinkled areas of the face or when applying two point makeup cosmetics with different colors or concentrations, the small brush is separated from the large brush and the two brushes can be used selectively and individually.

In addition, since the present disclosure is a two-in-one type makeup brush in which the large brush and the small brush can be coupled to or separated from each other without requiring provision of a separate part other than the large brush and the small brush, it is possible to minimize product volume and manufacturing cost, and realize a brush that can be used without damage or failure of parts.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Hereinafter, in order to fully understand the present disclosure, exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 6 of the accompanying drawings. The embodiments of the present disclosure can be modified in various forms, and the scope of the present disclosure should not be construed as being limited to the embodiments described in detail below.

Embodiment 1

FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating an integrated brush according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure in which a large brush and a small brush are coupled to each other, FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along line A-A of FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 is a perspective view illustrating the integrated brush according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure in which the large brush and the small brush are separated from each other.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, a brush for applying makeup according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure includes the large brush 100; and the small brush 200 configured to be coupled to the large brush 100 at a position eccentric from the center of the large brush 100 in a direction from top to bottom of the large brush 100 so as to coincide with a disposition direction of the large brush 100 so that the small brush 200 is used in conjunction with the large brush 100 as one integrated brush 300, or separated from the large brush 100 in a direction from bottom to top thereof and selectively used.

The large brush 100 includes: a rod-shaped first handle part 110 having a predetermined length; a first extension part 120 extending to a predetermined length from a side of the first handle part 110; a first brush tip part 130 fixed to a side of the first extension part 120; and a receiving space 140 formed at a position eccentric from the centers of the first handle part 110, the first extension part 120, and the first brush tip part 130 to allow the small brush 200 to be coupled to the large brush 100 in a direction from top to bottom of the large brush 100 or separated from the large brush 100 in a direction from bottom to top thereof.

At this time, the receiving space 140 is configured as one receiving space 140 that extends across the first handle part 110, the first extension part 120, and the first brush tip part 130 along length directions thereof, while being open at an upper end thereof toward an upper portion of the first brush tip part 130 and being open at a lower end thereof toward a lower portion of the first handle part 110.

A first brush tip part fixing groove 150 having a predetermined depth is formed in an upper surface of the first extension part 120 at a position between a portion of the inner circumference of the receiving space 140 corresponding to the first extension part 120 and the outer circumference of the first extension part 120 so that a lower portion of the first brush tip part 130 is inserted into the first brush tip part fixing groove 150 and fixed therein by adhesion.

A cutout portion 160 is formed at a side of the circumference of the receiving space 140 by being open along a length direction of the receiving space 140 so that the small brush 200 received in the receiving space 140 is prevented from being separated from the large brush 100 over the circumference of the receiving space 140, and is allowed to be pushed upward when removed from the large brush 100.

A first inclined surface 170 having a predetermined angle is formed on the portion of the inner circumference of the receiving space 140 corresponding to the first extension part 120 by gradually widening from the first handle part 110 toward the first brush tip part 130. When the small brush 200 is inserted into the receiving space 140 in a direction from top to bottom of the receiving space 140, the first inclined surface 170 correspondingly comes into contact with a side of the small brush 200 thus serving as a stop to limit the depth of insertion of the small brush 200 so that the heights of the large brush 100 and the small brush 200 coincide with each other.

The small brush 200 includes a rod-shaped second handle part 210 having a predetermined length; a second extension part 220 extending to a predetermined length from a side of the second handle part 210; and a second brush tip part 230 fixed to a side of the second extension part 220.

Preferably, the boundaries between the second handle part 210, the second extension part 220, and the second brush tip part 230 of the small brush 200 respectively coincide with the boundaries between the first handle part 110, the first extension part 120, and the first brush tip part 130 of the large brush 100 so that a sense of unity is provided between the large brush 100 and the small brush 200 when the small brush 200 is inserted into the receiving space 140 in a direction from top to bottom of the receiving space 140.

At this time, a second inclined surface 240 having a predetermined angle is formed on the second extension part 220 by gradually widening from the second handle part 210 toward the second brush tip part 230 so that the second inclined surface 240 is seated on the first inclined surface 170 formed on the first extension part 120. A second brush tip part fixing groove 250 having a predetermined depth is formed in an upper surface of the second inclined surface 240 so that a lower portion of the second brush tip part 230 is inserted into the second brush tip part fixing groove 250 and fixed therein by adhesion.

As such, in order to use the two large brush 100 and small brush 200 according to the present disclosure as one integrated brush 300 that enables a user to apply makeup on large areas such as cheeks and forehead, as illustrated in FIG. 3, when the user inserts the small brush 200 into the receiving space 140 of the large brush 100 in a direction from top to bottom of the receiving space 140 so that the disposition directions of the large brush 100 and the small brush 200 coincide with each other, the second inclined surface 240 formed on the second extension part 220 of the small brush 200 is seated on the first inclined surface 170 of the receiving space 140 of the large brush 100, the first inclined surface 170 corresponding to the first extension part 120, whereby as illustrated in FIG. 1, the large brush 100 and the small brush 200 are coupled to each other as one integrated brush 300 while the heights of upper and lower ends of the large brush 100 coincide with those of upper and lower ends of the small brush 200.

On the other hand, in order to selectively use the integrated brush 300 by separating the large brush 100 and the small brush 200 therefrom to enable the user to apply makeup on small areas such as eyes, nose, lips, chin, and wrinkled areas, when the user brings a his/her finger into close contact with the circumference of the small brush 200 partially exposed outside through the cutout portion 160 formed on the circumference of the receiving space 140 of the large brush 100 and then pushes the small brush 200 upward, as illustrated in FIG. 3, the small brush 200 is separated from the large brush 100 while being pushed upward along the receiving space 140.

Embodiment 2

FIG. 4 is a perspective view illustrating an integrated brush according to a second embodiment of the present disclosure in which a large brush and a small brush are coupled to each other, FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view taken along line B-B of FIG. 4, and FIG. 6 is a perspective view illustrating the integrated brush according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure in which the large brush and the small brush are separated from each other.

Referring to FIGS. 4 to 6, a brush for applying makeup according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure includes the large brush 100; and the small brush 200 coupled to the large brush 100 at a position corresponding to the center of the large brush 100 in a direction from top to bottom of the large brush 100 so as to coincide with a disposition direction of the large brush 100 so that the small brush 200 is used in conjunction with the large brush 100 as one integrated brush 300, or separated from the large brush 100 in a direction from bottom to top of the large brush 100 and selectively used.

The large brush 100 includes a first handle part 110; a first extension part 120 formed at a side of the first handle part 110; a first brush tip part 130 formed at the first extension part 120; a receiving space 140 formed at a position corresponding to the centers of the first handle part 110, the first extension part 120, and the first brush tip part 130 to allow the small brush 200 to be coupled to the large brush 100 in a direction from top to bottom of the large brush 100 or separated from the large brush 100 in a direction from bottom to top thereof; and a guide protrusion 180 formed at a side of the receiving space 140 to allow the small brush 200 to be coupled to or separated from the receiving space 140 in accordance with a direction in which the small brush 200 is designated to be inserted into the receiving space 140.

The small brush 200 includes a second handle part 210; a second extension part 220 formed at a side of the second handle part 210; a second brush tip part 230 formed at the second extension part 220; and a guide groove 260 formed at a side of each of the second handle part 210 and the second extension part 220 so as to be correspondingly coupled to or separated from the guide protrusion 180 formed in the receiving space 140 of the large brush 100.

At this time, in the brush for applying makeup according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure, the handle parts 110 and 210, the extension parts 120 and 220, the brush tip parts 130 and 230, and the receiving space 140 are the same configurations as those of the first embodiment but differ therefrom only in terms of their sizes, and thus, redundant description is omitted. In addition, the guide protrusion 180 and the guide groove 260 of the brush for applying makeup according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure are configurations that are not included in the first embodiment of the present disclosure, and thus will be described in detail as follows.

Opposed guide protrusions 180 are vertically arranged along the inner circumference of a first inclined surface 170 at positions spaced apart from each other at an angular interval of 180°.

Opposite guide grooves 260 are vertically arranged along the outer circumferences of the second handle part 210 and a second inclined surface 240 at positions spaced apart from each other at an angular interval of 180°, and each of the guide grooves 260 is configured as one guide groove 260 that extends across the second handle part 210 and the second inclined surface 240.

At this time, in a case where each of the first brush tip part 130 of the large brush 100 and the second brush tip part 230 of the small brush 200 is inclinedly formed so that the height thereof decreases gradually from a first side thereof toward a second side, as illustrated in FIG. 4, when the small brush 200 is coupled to the receiving space 140 of the large brush 100 and used in conjunction with the large brush 100 as the integrated brush 300, the guide protrusions 180 and the guide grooves 260 serve to coincide the directions of the large brush 100 and the small brush 200 with each other so that the large brush 100 and the small brush 200 are coupled to each other in a direction in which inclined directions thereof coincide with each other and positioned on one extension line.

The present disclosure is not limited to only the embodiments set forth herein, and those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications and changes are possible, without departing from the gist of the present disclosure, and such modifications and changes are considered to be within the scope of the appended claims hereinbelow.

Claims

1. A brush for applying makeup, the brush comprising:

a large brush;
a receiving space formed along a length direction of the large brush at a position corresponding to or eccentric from a center of the large brush so that the receiving space is open at upper and lower ends thereof and at a side of a circumference thereof; and
a small brush configured to be coupled to the large brush in a direction from top to bottom of the receiving space so as to coincide with a disposition direction of the large brush so that the small brush is used in conjunction with the large brush as one integrated brush, or separated from the large brush in a direction from bottom to top thereof and selectively used.

2. The brush of claim 1, wherein the large brush comprises:

a first handle part having a predetermined length;
a first extension part extending to a predetermined length from a side of the first handle part; and
a first brush tip part fixed to a side of the first extension part.

3. The brush of claim 2, wherein the receiving space is configured as one receiving space that extends across the first handle part, the first extension part, and the first brush tip part along length directions thereof.

4. The brush of claim 3, wherein a cutout portion is formed at a side of the circumference of the receiving space along a length direction of the receiving space.

5. The brush of claim 3, wherein a first inclined surface having a predetermined angle is formed on a portion of an inner circumference of the receiving space corresponding to the first extension part by gradually widening from the first handle part toward the first brush tip part.

6. The brush of claim 5, wherein the small brush comprises:

a second handle part having a predetermined length;
a second extension part extending to a predetermined length from a side of the second handle part; and
a second brush tip part fixed to a side of the second extension part.

7. The brush of claim 6, wherein a second inclined surface having a predetermined angle is formed on the second extension part by gradually widening from the second handle part toward the second brush tip part so that the second inclined surface is seated on the first inclined surface.

8. The brush of claim 7, wherein at least one guide protrusion is formed on an inner circumference of the first inclined surface, and

at least one guide groove is formed at a side of an outer circumference of each of the second handle part and the second extension part so as to be coupled to or separated from the guide protrusion.

9. The brush of claim 8, wherein the at least one guide protrusion comprises guide protrusions vertically arranged along the inner circumference of the first inclined surface at positions spaced apart from each other at an angular interval of 180°.

10. The brush of claim 9, wherein the at least one guide groove comprises guide grooves vertically arranged along the outer circumference of each of the second handle part and the second inclined surface at positions spaced apart from each other at an angular interval of 180°.
