CARTON WITH DETACHABLE BUFFER PLATE SET

A carton with a detachable buffer plate set includes a bottom plate, two long side plates, an upper cover, two short side plates, two reinforcing side plates, and a detachable buffer plate set. The long side plates and the short side plates are connected to the bottom plate. The upper cover is connected to one of the long side plates. The two reinforcing side plates are connected to the two short side plates respectively. The detachable buffer plate set is detachably connected to one of the reinforcing side plates. Accordingly, by detaching the detachable buffer plate set for supporting and buffering, products of similar size or products with accessories of different sizes may use the same-sized cartons and paper-plastic boxes, so that extra die-cutting costs and storage costs are avoided.

Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure relates to a carton, in particular, to a carton with a detachable buffer plate set.

DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ART

Generally, in order to prevent products from being damaged due to impact, vibration, or collision during transportation, most of the packaging cartons are provided with buffers or fixed structures to protect and fix the products. Electronic products have precision components, so they need to undergo strict testing under extreme transportation conditions to ensure the quality of shipments. Accordingly, in most cases, a paper-plastic box is disposed in the packaging carton to fix the electronic product, and the electronic product is clamped and fixed through an upper cover of the packaging carton.

However, when electronic products of similar size or the same electronic products with accessories of different sizes need to use the same-sized packaging cartons, the electronic products or their accessories cannot be effectively fixed due to different heights. Therefore, it is necessary to modify the size of the paper-plastic box by making a new mold, or additionally design and produce a buffer structure by means of die-cutting to effectively fix the electronic products or their accessories. However, by doing so, manufacturers need to perform die-cutting additionally, which incurs additional production costs. Also, storage costs are increased by stocking corresponding packaging materials for similar-sized electronic products or accessories of different sizes.

Accordingly, in view of the above-mentioned deficiencies in related-art techniques, the inventor of the present disclosure devoted himself to research and application of theories, and aimed to make improvement by trying his best to solve the above-mentioned problems.

SUMMARY

The disclosure is directed to make electronic products of similar size or the same electronic product with accessories of different sizes be able to use the same cartons and paper-plastic boxes by using a detachable buffer plate set folded into a buffer body, such that the electronic products and their accessories are effectively and securely received in the cartons without extra die-cutting costs and storage costs.

Accordingly, the present disclosure provides a carton with a detachable buffer plate set, including a bottom plate, two long side plates, an upper cover, two short side plates, two reinforcing side plates, and at least one detachable buffer plate set. The bottom plate includes two long folding edges disposed opposite to each other and two short folding edges disposed opposite to each other. The two long side plates are connected to the two long folding edges, respectively. The upper cover is connected to one side of one of the long side plates and disposed away from each of the long folding edges. The two short side plates are connected to the two short folding edges respectively. Each of the short side plates includes a turning side strip, and each of the turning side strips is disposed on one side of a corresponding one of the short side plates away from each of the short folding edges. The two reinforcing side plates are connected to the two turning side strips respectively, and each of the reinforcing side plates includes two side edges perpendicular to the turning side strip. The at least one detachable buffer plate set is detachably connected to one of the side edges of one of the reinforcing side plates facing the upper cover.

In one exemplary embodiment, a tear line or a pre-folding line is located on the side edge of each of the reinforcing side plate connected to the at least one detachable buffer plate set.

In one exemplary embodiment, the number of the at least one detachable buffer plate set is two, and the two detachable buffer plate sets are respectively detachably connected to the side edges of the two reinforcing side plates facing the upper cover. In an unfolded state, each detachable buffer plate set is located within an intersecting range defined by intersecting lines respectively extended from one side edge of the upper cover away from the long side plate and extended from one side edge of a corresponding one of the reinforcing side plates away from a corresponding one of the short side plates.

In one exemplary embodiment, the carton further includes a fixing plate. The fixing plate is connected to one side of the upper cover away from the long side plate, the number of the at least one detachable buffer plate set is two, one of the detachable buffer plate sets is detachably connected to one of the side edges of a corresponding one of the reinforcing side plates facing the upper cover, and the other one of the detachable buffer plate sets is detachably connected to one side of the detachable buffer plate set away from the corresponding reinforcing side plate. In an unfolded state, each detachable buffer plate set is located within an intersecting range defined by intersecting lines respectively extended from one side edge of the fixing plate away from the upper cover and extended from one side edge of a corresponding one of the reinforcing side plates away from a corresponding one of the short side plates.

In one exemplary embodiment, each detachable buffer plate set includes two support plates and one connection plate, and the connection plate is connected between the two support plates. In a folded state, the two support plates and the connection plate collectively form a buffer body. Each detachable buffer plate set is rectangular shape, each of the support plates is substantially T-shaped, and the connection plate is substantially H-shaped. Each of the support plates is connected to the connection plate through a fold line, a plurality of tear lines, and another fold line connected in sequence.

In one exemplary embodiment, the carton further includes a fixing plate. The fixing plate is connected to one side of the upper cover away from the long side plate, two locking side plates are respectively extended from two sides of the fixing plate, and two fixing side plates are respectively extended from two sides of each of the long side plates. In a folded state, each of the fixing side plates is located on one side of a corresponding one of the reinforcing side plates, and each of the locking side plates is inserted between a corresponding one of the short side plates and a corresponding one of the reinforcing side plates.

The carton with the detachable buffer plate set of the present disclosure utilizes the detachable buffer plate set. When a product with a lower height is received in the carton, the detachable buffer plate set may be detached and folded into the buffer body for support and buffering, which effectively avoids damage to low-height articles caused by shaking during transportation due to lack of fixation, and avoids extra die-cutting costs and storage costs.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Details and technical content of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, the accompanying drawings are only used for illustration purposes and are not intended to limit the present disclosure.

The present disclosure provides a carton with a detachable buffer plate set for receiving at least one article. In the present embodiment, the at least one article includes a paper-plastic box A, a product B, and an accessory B1. The present embodiment is not limited to in this regard. That is to say, as long as having a suitable size, any article may be received in the carton with the detachable buffer plate set. Referring to FIGS. 1 to 8, the carton with detachable buffer plate set of the present disclosure mainly includes a bottom plate 10, two long side plates 20, an upper cover 30, two short side plates 40, and two reinforcing side plates 50, at least one detachable buffer plate set 60, and a fixing plate 70. In the present embodiment, the bottom plate 10, each long side plate 20, the upper cover 30, each short side plate 40, each reinforcing side plate 50, the at least one detachable buffer plate set 60, and the fixing plate 70 are all made of corrugated paper. They may also be made of thick cardboard or other paper materials with certain structural strength, and the present disclosure is not limited in this regard.

In one embodiment, the bottom plate 10 is rectangular shape. The present disclosure is not limited in this regard. The bottom plate 10 includes two long folding edges 11 disposed opposite to each other and two short folding edges 12 disposed opposite to each other. The long folding edges 11 are perpendicularly connected to the short folding edges 12.

As shown in FIG. 1, each long side plate 20 is connected to a corresponding one of the long folding edges 11. To be specific, each long folding edge 11 is connected between the bottom plate 10 and a corresponding one of the long side plates 20. Two fixing side plate 21 are respectively extended from left and right sides of each long side plate 20 and are bent toward the long side plate 20. In one embodiment, each long side plate 20 is rectangular shape, and a length of each long side plate 20 is slightly shorter than a length of the bottom plate 10. As a result, when being folded, each fixing side plate 21 is still accommodated on the bottom plate 10 without protruding out of the bottom plate 10. The present disclosure is not limited to the above description.

In the present embodiment, the upper cover 30 is rectangular shape. The present disclosure is not limited in this regard. The upper cover 30 is connected to one side of one of the long side plates 20 away from each long folding edge 11. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 1, the upper cover 30 is connected to one side of the long side plate 20 (the upper one of the long side plates 20 in the drawing) and is disposed away from each long folding edge 11, and two pressing side plates 31 are respectively extended from left and right sides of the upper cover 30 and are bent toward the upper cover 30. In the present embodiment, a length of the upper cover 30 is slightly shorter than the length of each long side plate 20, so that when being folded, the pressing side plates 31 is received on inner sides of the respective fixing side plates 21 without pushing too hard against the fixing side plates 21. The present disclosure is not limited in this regard.

In the present embodiment, the fixing plate 70 is rectangular shape. The present disclosure is not limited in this regard. As shown in FIG. 1, the fixing plate 70 is connected to one side of the upper cover 30 away from the long side plate 20, and two locking side plates 71 are extended from left and right sides of the fixing plate 70 and are bent toward the fixing plate 70. In the present embodiment, a length of the fixing plate 70 is between the length of the upper cover 30 and the length of each long side plate 20, so that when being folded, each locking side plate 71 is inserted and received between the corresponding fixing side plate 21 and the corresponding pressing side plate 31. The present disclosure is not limited in this regard.

As shown in FIG. 1, each short side plate 40 is connected to a corresponding one of the short folding edges 12. That is to say, each short folding edge 12 is connected between the bottom plate 10 and a corresponding one of the short side plates 40, each short side plate 40 includes a turning side strip 41, and each turning side strip 41 is located on one side of a corresponding one of the short side plates 40 away from a corresponding one of the short folding edges 12. In the present embodiment, each short side plate 40 is rectangular shape, and a length of each short side plate 40 is equal to a width of the bottom plate 10. The present disclosure is not limited in this regard. It should be noted that each short side plate 40 is not connected to an adjacent one of the fixing side plates 21. In the present embodiment, each short side plate 40 and each adjacent fixing side plate 21 are separated by cutting in a process of die-cutting the carton. The carton may also be designed to have a gap (not illustrated in drawings) defined between each short side plate 40 and the adjacent one of the fixing side plate 21 for not being connected.

As shown in FIG. 1, each reinforcing side plate 50 is connected to a corresponding one of the turning side strips 41, so that each reinforcing side plate 50 is bent toward a corresponding one of the short side plates 40 by a corresponding one of the turning side strips 41 and is located on an inner side of each short side plate 40. A gap (not illustrated in the drawings) is formed between each reinforcing side plate 50 and a corresponding one of the short side plates 40 for inserting and receiving a corresponding one of the fixing side plates 21. Each reinforcing side plate 50 includes two side edges 51 respectively perpendicular to the turning side strip 41.

The detachable buffer plate set 60 is detachably connected to the side edge 51 of one of the reinforcing side plates 50. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 1, the detachable buffer plate set 60 is connected to the side edge 51 of the reinforcing side plate 50 facing the upper cover 30. That is to say, the detachable buffer plate set 60 and the upper cover 30 are located on the same side with respect to the bottom plate 10. The present embodiment includes two detachable buffer plate sets 60. The detachable buffer plate sets 60 are detachably connected to the side edges 51 of the respective reinforcing side plates 50 facing the upper cover 30 and are arranged symmetrically. The present disclosure is not limited in this regard. For example, there may be only one detachable buffer plate set 60. In addition, each side edge 51 connected to one of the detachable buffer plate sets 60 and one of the reinforcing side plates 50 is provided with a tear line (not labeled in the drawings) or a pre-folding line (not labeled in the drawings), and therefore users (e.g., packaging personnel and shipping personnel, hereinafter referred to as packaging personnel) may directly tear off each detachable buffer plate set 60 from the carton through the tear line for use, or cut it off with scissors along the pre-folding line, or use a blade to cut it down for use. The present disclosure is not limited in this regard.

Referring to FIG. 1, an outer rectangular border line represents a charging area of the carton on which the die-cutting is performed. When the carton with the detachable buffer plate set 60 is unfolded, each detachable buffer plate set 60 of the present embodiment is located within an intersecting range defined by intersecting lines respectively extended from one side edge of the upper cover 30 away from the long side plate 20 and extended from one side edge of a corresponding one of the reinforcing side plates 50 away from a corresponding one of the short side plates 40. Therefore, each detachable buffer plate set 60 does not exceed an original area of the carton based on which a fee is calculated, so no additional die-cutting costs are incurred. It should be noted that a related-art detachable buffer plate set and a related-art carton need separate die-cuts, so manufacturers need to pay for the costs of two die-cuts, which increases production costs during manufacturing. In addition to that, because there is a need to prepare additional spares for the separate detachable buffer plate sets, the storage costs and spares control are also affected. In the present disclosure, the detachable buffer plate set 60 and the carton are designed as a detachable one-piece, and the detachable buffer plate set 60 in the present embodiment does not incur extra costs because the detachable buffer plate set 60 does not exceed the original area of the carton based on which the fee is calculated. The present disclosure is not limited in this regard, and a size of the detachable buffer plate set 60 may be changed according to requirements.

Referring to FIG. 2, when the carton with the detachable buffer plate set 60 of the present disclosure is in a folded state, the bottom plate 10, the long side plates 20, the upper cover 30, the fixing plate 70, the short side plates 40, the reinforcing side plates 50, and the detachable buffer plate sets 60 together form a carton body 1. Each reinforcing side plate 50 is located on the inner side of the corresponding short side plate 40, so that the detachable buffer plate set 60 abuts against the inner side of the long side plate 20 connected to the upper cover 30, and each fixing side plate 21 is inserted and accommodated between the corresponding reinforcing side plate 50 and the corresponding short side plate 40. Further, each pressing side plate 31 presses against one side of the corresponding reinforcing side plate 50 away from the corresponding short side plate 40, and the fixing plate 70 is attached to an outer side of the long side plate 20 such that each locking side plate 71 is also inserted between the corresponding short side plate 40 and the corresponding reinforcing side plate 50 to stably fix the carton body 1 without detachment or looseness.

Please refer to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3. When both the paper-plastic box A and the accessory B1 of the product B are flush with inner upper edges of the carton body 1 of the carton, that is, when the paper-plastic box A and the accessory B1 are both flush with top edges of the long side panels 20 and short side plates 40, then each detachable buffer plate set 60 does not need to be detached for use. Therefore, each detachable buffer plate set 60 is sandwiched between the paper-plastic box A and the long side plate 20 connected to the upper cover 30. As a result, after the upper cover 30 of the carton is closed, the product B and the accessory B1 are stably pressed and accommodated between the paper-plastic box A and the upper cover 30 without shaking, so as to meet requirements for tests in extreme shipping conditions such as drop and vibration.

Please refer to FIG. 4 and FIG. 5. Each detachable buffer plate set 60 includes two support plates 61 and a connection plate 62. Each of the connection plates 62 is connected between the support plates 61, so that when being folded, each support plate 61 and the connection plates 62 together form a buffer body 6. In the present embodiment, the detachable buffer plate set 60 is rectangular shape when being unfolded. Each support plate 61 is substantially T-shaped, and the connection plate 62 is substantially H-shaped. Each support plate 61 is connected to the connection plate 62 through a fold line 63, a plurality of tear lines 64, and another fold line 63 connected in sequence, so that the packaging personnel may bend and fold the detachable buffer plate set 60 into the above-mentioned buffer body 6 after tearing each tear line 64. That is to say, each support plate 61 is a three-dimensional structure perpendicular to the connection plate 62. However, the present disclosure is not limited to the above-mentioned. For example, each of the support plates 61 and the connection plates 62 may be rectangular and may be bent and folded directly.

Please refer to FIG. 4 to FIG. 7. When the product B is lower than an upper edge of the carton body 1 and an upper edge of the paper-plastic box A, that is, when the product B is lower than the top edges of the long side plates 20, the short side plates 40, and the paper-plastic box A to cause a level difference (not labeled in the drawings), the packaging personnel may detach each detachable buffer plate set 60 to bend and fold it into the buffer body 6, and then each buffer body 6 is placed on a top of the product B. Accordingly, each connection plate 62 is closely attached to the top of the product B. At the same time, each support plate 61 is partially inserted and clamped between the paper-plastic box A and the product B, and a top of each support plate 61 is flush with the upper edge of the carton body 1 and the upper edge of the paper-plastic box A. As a result, after the upper cover 30 of the carton is closed, the product B is stably pressed and accommodated between the paper-plastic box A and the buffer bodies 6 without shaking, which meets the requirements for the tests in the extreme shipping conditions such as drop and vibration.

Please refer to FIG. 8, which shows another embodiment of the present disclosure. A main difference is that one of the detachable buffer plate sets 60 is detachably connected to the side edge 51 of one of the reinforcing side plates 50 facing the upper cover 30. The other one of the detachable buffer plate sets 60 is detachably connected to one side of the aforesaid detachable buffer plate set 60 away from the reinforcing side plate 50. That is to say, the two detachable buffer plate sets 60 are connected in sequence and extended from the side edge 51 of one of the reinforcing side plate 50, and tear lines or pre-fold lines are also formed between the detachable buffer plate sets 60 and between the detachable buffer plate set 60 and the reinforcing side plate 50. Therefore, the packaging personnel may detach the detachable buffer plate sets 60 for use. When being unfolded, each detachable buffer plate set 60 is located within an intersecting range defined by intersecting lines respectively extended from one side edge of the fixing plate 70 away from the upper cover 30 and extended from one side edge of a corresponding one of the reinforcing side plates 50 away from a corresponding one of the short side plates 40. As a result, no additional die-cutting costs are incurred because the detachable buffer plate sets 60 are also located within the original area of the carton based on which the fee is calculated. Further, each detachable buffer plate set 60 may also be directly detached for use when needed.

Certainly, the present disclosure may also have other various embodiments. Those skilled in the art may change and modify the present disclosure in many ways without departing from the spirit and essence of the present disclosure. Such changes and modification should be deemed to fall within the protection scope of the present disclosure.

Claims

1. A carton, comprising:

a bottom plate, comprising a pair of long folding edges disposed opposite to each other and a pair of short folding edges disposed opposite to each other;
a pair of long side plates, connected to the pair of long folding edges, respectively;
an upper cover, connected to one side of one of the long side plates away from each of the long folding edges;
a pair of short side plates, connected to the pair of short folding edges respectively, wherein each of the short side plates comprises a turning side strip, and the turning side strip is disposed on one side of one of the short side plates away from one of the short folding edges;
a pair of reinforcing side plates, connected to two turning side strips respectively, each of the reinforcing side plates comprising a pair of side edges perpendicular to the turning side strip; and
at least one detachable buffer plate set, detachably connected to one of the side edges of one of the reinforcing side plates facing the upper cover.

2. The carton according to claim 1, wherein a tear line or a pre-folding line is located on the side edge of each of the reinforcing side plate connected to the detachable buffer plate set.

3. The carton according to claim 1, wherein a number of the detachable buffer plate set is two, and two detachable buffer plate sets are respectively detachably connected to the side edges of the reinforcing side plates facing the upper cover.

The carton according to claim 3, wherein in an unfolded state, each detachable buffer plate set is located within an intersecting range defined by a line extended from one side edge of the upper cover away from the long side plate and a line extended from one side edge of one of the reinforcing side plates away from one of the short side plates.

The carton according to claim 1, wherein a number of the detachable buffer plate set is two, one of the detachable buffer plate sets is detachably connected to one of the side edges of one of the reinforcing side plates facing the upper cover, and another one of the detachable buffer plate sets is detachably connected to one side of the one of the detachable buffer plate sets away from one of the reinforcing side plates.

The carton according to claim 5, further comprising a fixing plate, wherein the fixing plate is connected to one side of the upper cover away from the long side plate, and in an unfolded state, each detachable buffer plate set is located within an intersecting range defined by a line extended from one side edge of the fixing plate away from the upper cover and a line extended from one side edge of one of the reinforcing side plates away from one of the short side plates.

The carton according to claim 1, wherein the detachable buffer plate set comprises a pair of support plates and a connection plate, and the connection plate is connected between the pair of support plates, and in a folded state, a buffer body is constituted by the pair of support plates and the connection plate.

8. The carton according to claim 7, wherein the detachable buffer plate set is rectangular shape in an unfolded state, each of the support plates is substantially T-shaped, and the connection plate is substantially H-shaped.

9. The carton according to claim 8, wherein each of the support plates is connected to the connection plate through a fold line, a plurality of tear lines, and another fold line connected in sequence.

The carton according to claim 1, further comprising a fixing plate, wherein the fixing plate is connected to one side of the upper cover away from the long side plate, a pair of locking side plates are respectively extended from two sides of the fixing plate, and two fixing side plates are respectively extended from two sides of each of the long side plates, and in a folded state, each of the fixing side plates is located on one side of one of the reinforcing side plates, and each of the locking side plates is inserted between one of the short side plates and one of the reinforcing side plates.
