Patent number: RE30127Abstract: A control system for the hydraulically powered .Iadd.conveyor, such as an .Iaddend.auger.Iadd., .Iaddend.of a self-loading .[.auger.]. scraper that has an ejector operated by a hydraulic cylinder. One manual control valve starts and stops the auger in conjunction with loading. A second manual control valve powers the ejector cylinder and simultaneously operates a valve to start the auger independently of the first manual control valve.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 1978Date of Patent: October 30, 1979Assignee: Caterpillar Tractor Co.Inventor: Edward J. Ohms
-
Patent number: RE30128Abstract: A control system for the hydraulically powered .Iadd.conveyor, such as an .Iaddend.auger, of a self-loading .[.auger.]. scraper that has a hydraulic cushion hitch which is locked out when the scraper is loading. A multi-position manually controlled pilot selector valve which is used to lock out the cushion hitch also initiates operation of the auger. The control system includes a pilot operated, normally open auger control valve through which flow of a signal line for a normally open unloading relief valve goes to drain. Moving the pilot selector valve from a first to a second position pressurizes the pilot line to close the auger control valve and thus isolate the signal line from drain, closing the unloading relief valve to isolate a pump for the auger motor from drain and cause it to power the motor.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 1978Date of Patent: October 30, 1979Assignee: Caterpillar Tractor Co.Inventor: Edward J. Ohms

Patent number: RE30131Abstract: Optical radiation generation and detection using metal-to-metal diode junctions. Coherent optical radiation is generated by using an antenna connected to a metal-to-metal diode junction with non-linear current-voltage characteristics and by coupling to the junction electromagnetic radiation energy to interact with the junction, causing emission from the antenna at optical frequency absent from the input. Optical diodes are shown in the forms of a mechanically contacted cat whisker system and as single and multiple microscopic solid portions in an integrated solid mass, defining both the antenna and the junction, preferably as a deposit of solid layers upon a substrate, preferably as overlapping printed circuit line structures. Patent number: 4172302Abstract: A laundering machine for such laundering operations as washing and rinsing, having a tank with an inlet end and an outlet end, the goods being introduced into the apparatus and removed therefrom at the respective ends by suitable means such as conveyors. The apparatus includes two sets of grippers, alternately gripping the goods and positively moving them along in the tank. While each set grips and moves the goods along, the other set releases and gets a new grip, producing a continuous moving action. The grippers produce an agitating action on the goods, and they are adjustable as to the extent of movement toward and from each other in their gripping action, and in the extent of movement of the goods through the tank. Consequently, the grippers are adjustable as to speed of agitating action independently of the speed of movement of the goods through the tank.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 1978Date of Patent: October 30, 1979Inventor: Paul H. Patent number: 4172314Abstract: Disclosed is a fixed carrier type coil insert tool for installing a threaded insert into a threaded aperture of a workpiece. The insert tool is designed to provide means for externally adjusting the depth to which the coil insert is installed within the workpiece. This is accomplished by providing a carrier whose position relative to the mandrel can be adjusted so that the distance from the end of the mandrel to the workpiece is adjustable. Since the mandrel advances a fixed distance upon actuation of the power tool, the result is a change in the depth of penetration of the mandrel into the workpiece, and a corresponding adjustment in the depth to which the coil insert is installed into the aperture of the workpiece.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 1978Date of Patent: October 30, 1979Assignee: Microdot Inc.Inventors: Imre Berecz, D.
