Patent number: 4334343Abstract: A crystal is mounted on a low, centrally located pedestal. Connections to the lower side of the crystal are made by way of conductive areas on the pedestal. Multiple wiring connections are made at the edges of the crystal by allowing the bonding tool to depress the edge of the crystal so that the crystal bonding pad is supported by the base structure only during the bonding process, then released thereafter to allow free vibration of the crystal plate. Complex circuitry, possibly involving more than one frequency can thus be put onto one plate.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 1980Date of Patent: June 15, 1982Assignee: Motorola Inc.Inventors: Emory Wakat, Jr., Lawrence N. Patent number: 4334345Abstract: The internal walls of a conduit for conveying fluid carrying marine fouling organisms is lined with a liner of anti-fouling material by inserting an expandable liner of anti-fouling material into the conduit and by expanding the liner radially outwardly into tight engagement with the internal walls with sufficient force to prevent movement of the liner with respect to the conduit upon the fluid flowing therethrough. The liner of anti-fouling material prevents the marine fouling organisms from contacting the internal walls of the conduit and thereby prevents the marine fouling organisms from adhering to or collecting on the internal walls and thereby prevents such marine fouling organisms from constricting the flow of fluid through the conduit. The liner of anti-fouling material may be comprised of a plurality of generally annularly shaped and radially expandable bands of such material which are inserted into the conduit and aligned axially and adjacent each other.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 1980Date of Patent: June 15, 1982Assignee: Revere Copper and Brass IncorporatedInventor: Richard H. Patent number: 4334384Abstract: A toy razor is disclosed which is constructed to be similar in appearance and sound to an electric razor and includes a housing defining an internal cavity within which may be mounted a rotary motor and a power supply such as batteries for energizing the rotary motor. A switch is defined on the housing that connects the motor to the power supply for energization thereof. The toy razor also includes a razor head slideably and reciprocally mounted on the housing. A diaphragm is secured inside the head at a location spaced from the rotary motor such that upon engagement of the shaving head with an object such as the face or hand of a child, the head moves inwardly to vibrate the diaphragm producing a sound similar to the sound of an electric razor.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 1981Date of Patent: June 15, 1982Assignee: Marvin Glass & AssociatesInventors: Gregory B. Patent number: 4334386Abstract: A modular soilless garden system can be started as a small garden and built gradually into a larger, automatic garden system irrigated by a pump. Two formed plastic tanks, a larger sump tank and a smaller grow tank, are provided with barbed nipples at their base for connecting the tanks with flexible plastic hose and barbed insert T-fittings to assemble them in any number of different sized systems. In one embodiment, the sump tank is designed to contain multiple grow tanks and a water supply for irrigating them. This is fed to the grow tanks by a pump located outside the sump tank. Using the hoses and T-fittings, multiple sump tanks and grow tanks can be connected and added on to the pump so a larger system can be gradually built. In a second embodiment, the smaller grow tank can be used individually with one hose and any one gallon container as a manual garden by watering from the top of the tank and draining through the bottom of the tank through the hose into that container.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 1980Date of Patent: June 15, 1982Assignee: Douglas Arthur BurcombeInventors: Douglas A.
