Abstract: The invention relates to a new and distinct virus-free variety of apple tree useful as a rootstock for supporting grafted apple varieties, particularly for planting of hedgerows of apple trees. The new variety originated as a clone of heat treated Paradis-Jaune-de-Metz selection, M9B, also called M9 INFEL. It has been found that there is better root lignification as well as generally several points of root issue on the clones as well as an increased vigor to the cultivars.

Abstract: Poinsettia `Lilo Pink` is a new cultivar, distinguished by dark pink bracts and intense dark green foliage with self-branching characteristics. `Lilo Pink` is a color sport of the dark red bracted `Lilo` (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 6,694) with the same flowering response and cultural requirements. The new plant produces a very desirable branched flowering pot plant. The new plant is resistant to epinasty after being confined to shipping containers and recovers rapidly if the plant does become epinastic. The post-production foliage and bract retention is excellent even under low light intensities in the consumer's home.

Abstract: A programmable sprinkler system ideally suited for use in an enclosure such as a nursery and/or arboretum includes a first overhead rail and a water pipe connected to a pressurized source of water. The water pipe is provided with a plurality of water valves placed at discreet intervals along its length and extend outwardly therefrom and is positioned alongside and close to the first overhead rail and parallel thereto. A source of electrical power is positioned close to and generally parallel with the first rail on the other side thereof and extends essentially its entire length. A plurality of second overhead rails have one end of each positioned near the valves and the first rail and extends outwardly therefrom, preferably at right angles thereto, defining a path along which the water is to be dispensed. A carrier mechanism rests on the first rail. Nested upon the carrier mechanism is a detachable car that includes a second coupling device to bring electrical power to it.
