Abstract: Poinsettia `PJ 3112` is a new cultivar, distinguished by bright orange-red bracts and intense dark green foliage with self-branching characteristics. `PJ 3112` is a color sport of the dark red bracted `Lilo` (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 6,694) with the same early flowering response and cultural requirements. The new plant produces a very desirable branched flowering pot plant. The new plant is resistant to epinasty after being confined to shipping containers and recovers rapidly if the plant does become epinastic. The post-production foliage and bract retention is excellent even under low light intensities in the consumer's home.

Abstract: A seating unit for accommodating an adult in a seated position and having a child restraint seat convertible from a position stored within the back of the adult seat to a position for holding and restraining a child. The child restraint seat has a generally U-shaped restraint bar member which extends horizontally from the seat back in the open position and which pivots about the ends of the legs to a vertical closed position, wherein the restraint bar lays flush with the forward surface of the seat back and the bight portion of the U shape forms the top edge of the seat back. The child seat also has a seat cushion portion which pivots about its lower edge to lay horizontally in the opened position upon the adult seat and which pivots vertically to lay flush in the seat back and nest between the legs of the restraint bar in the closed position.

Abstract: This invention relates to a mask for use in fire accidents and in particular to one including a body portion adapted to cover face of an user and provided with a transparent visor in the front side, the body portion being made of a fire proof cloth in which is received a liquid chemical substance for preventing smoke, an elastic band made of fire proof material and mounted on the upper rear side of the body portion, a left strap mounted on the lower left side of the body portion and provided with a female fastener, a right strap mounted on the lower right side of the body portion and provided with a male fastener adapted to engage the female fastener off, the left strap, and an aluminum-foil bag for receiving the mask, whereby the user will be prevented from inhaling smoke and being choked by the smoke.

Abstract: A moisture-management garment and support garment including a moisture-management panel which extends from an upper crotch area of the garment to a lower crotch area of the garment. The panel includes an inner fabric layer, intermediate fabric layer, and an outer fabric layer. The inner fabric layer is constructed of wicking yarns for residing in skin contact during garment wear. The intermediate fabric layer comprises one or more moisture transport inserts which reside adjacent to the inner fabric layer for transporting moisture away from the inner fabric layer and away from the skin of the wearer. An outer fabric layer resides adjacent the intermediate fabric layer for receiving and dispersing moisture wicked outwardly from the inner and intermediate fabric layers.

The protective head gear has four main components which provide increased protection to vulnerable parts of the head and neck. The main components are 1) a head mask, 2) a face guard for protecting facial areas, 3) a neck guard for protecting the back of the neck and 4) a cap for protecting the top of the head.

Abstract: A cover for a toilet seat is a one-piece sheet member having side, front and rear sections surrounding an opening aligned with a toilet seat opening when the cover is placed on the toilet seat to protect a person from contaminants. The front of the cover has a rearwardly open pocket to accommodate the front of the toilet seat. An adhesive on the rear section of the sheet member is releasably attached to the toilet seat to retain the sheet member on the toilet seat with the front of the toilet seat located within the pocket.

Abstract: A gravity flush toilet system includes a fixture with a water sealed trap and a tank having an overflow tube, a flush valve and a fill valve. A control assembly includes a float assembly with a member for pushing the flush valve toward its closed position as the water level descends. A full volume or a reduced volume flushing operation is selected by alternatively filling or emptying a bias chamber of the float assembly. Water pressure variations are compensated for by increasing the weight of the float with part of the flow through the fill valve as the tank is emptying. A regulated volume of reseal water is carried in a chamber on the float and is discharged into the overflow tube to refill the fixture trap after each flushing operation.

Abstract: A closure device covers the inlet portal of a swimming pool weir. The closure device has a main opening that is controlled by a weir flap and a secondary opening to accommodate flexible piping leading to a pool cleaner, whereby water can be drawn into the weir simultaneously both through the flexible piping and the main opening. The weir flap has an elongated slot just below the upper edge.

Abstract: A pool skimmer apparatus used with a water filtration and recirculation system includes an outlet nozzle assembly and a scoop assembly. The outlet nozzle assembly is mounted to an inlet in the sidewall of a pool of water and operable for directing a flow of the water and debris floating on the surface of the water along an endless annular path extending substantially tangentially along the sidewall and the periphery of the pool of water. The scoop assembly is mounted to the outlet in the sidewall of the pool to project outwardly from the sidewall for intercepting and deflecting at least a portion of the water and debris carried by the water from the endless annular path of flow and into the outlet of the pool to thereby assist in skimming off portions of the debris floating on the surface of the pool of water.

The back rest (18) can be swivelled backwards and forwards by a swivelling means (19), which is likewise hydraulically operated. Both working devices (12, 19) are connected to a multi-valve housing (20), which is located beneath the lift platform (16) and which has no manual control means at all. The valves are triggered hydraulically by remote control. For this purpose, a manual control unit (30) with a number of built-in servo valves is connected to the multi-valve housing (20) via a flexible cable (28), which contains a number of thin control hoses and an hydraulic water supply hose.

Abstract: A collapsible hammock stand is provided for suspending a hammock above the ground. The collapsible hammock stand includes a collapsible longitudinal base member having lateral ground engaging support members at each end. The hammock stand also includes upright supports extending upwardly from the ends of the longitudinal base member for selectively receiving the ends of a hammock. The various components of the hammock stand are pivot and/or slide mounted to one another, which allows the hammock stand to be collapsed quickly and easily for transportation. The hammock stand is of a one-piece construction to prevent misplacement of the various individual components.

Abstract: A sleeping bag for use outdoors includes a pad of lightweight, soft material such as foam rubber covered with nylon for waterproofing, with an inflatable wedge head and shoulder rest at the head end of the pad extending a substantial distance along the length of the bag and provides support for both the head and shoulders adding to the comfort of the user. The bag is also provided with an outer bag covering substantially the entire covered pad for defining the sleeping bag. Storage pockets form part of the bag at the foot end outside the sleeping bag for receiving personal items. The sleeping bag may be rolled into a compact tube shape, with ends secured by retaining clips, and with an integral shoulder strap for carrying the mat.

The pad can comprise either an air-filled cushion or a foam cushion, and the firmness or degree of support provided by the pad can be adjusted by adjusting the amount of air in an air-filled cushion or by changing the foam cushion.
