  • Patent number: 5806127
Abstract: There is provided a toothbrush where the dose of dentifrice used is controlled by the use of bristles of at least two different colors. When the bristles of one color are covered with a dentifrice the dose will be within guidelines. In addition, the dentifrice and bristles of one of the colors can be the same to aid in controlling the dose of dentifrice. This will in turn limit the dose of fluoride and other components of a dentifrice.

  • Patent number: 5806128
Abstract: A cleaning tool includes a fleece covering and support structures which both supported by a handle. The fleece material is sewn into a hollow cylinder and then turned inside out. A foam structure surrounds the upper end of the handle as it extends into the hollow fleece cylinder. A foam plug lies within the foam structure and cushions the upper end of the handle against the inside of the fleece material. Near the point of entry of the handle into the foam structure, the fleece material is attached to the handle to hold the cleaning tool together. Various shapes of cleaning tool can be formed with the overall outer shape of the fleece dependent upon both the cutting and sewing of the fleece material, as well as the shape of the supporting foam material.

  • Patent number: 5806131
Abstract: A plastic paint roller frame includes a cross member having legs depending from opposite ends of the cross member, and pins on the legs in coaxial alignment with each other for rotatably mounting opposite ends of a roller cover between the legs. The legs have a pair of flexible ears on the inner ends thereof which are movable toward each other to permit the legs to be slid in and out of transverse openings in opposite ends of the cross member for ease of assembly and removal of the roller cover from the frame. External shoulders on the ears resist removal of the legs from the transverse openings when the legs are pushed into the transverse openings a sufficient distance such that the external shoulders clear the openings and the ears move the external shoulders radially outwardly into overlying relation with the upper ends of the transverse openings.

  • Patent number: 5806149
Abstract: Improved spring fasteners are formed from a single length of at least partially hardened wire bent to form a generally planar base and a generally diamond-shape engagement portion or dart extending generally perpendicularly from the center of the base. The length of wire is bent at its center to form the dart. Free ends of the wires are crossed past and partially around one another to provide a scissor action to arms forming either side of the dart. The free end portions of the wire are extended away from the dart in opposite directions. Each is curled into a circular loop in which the extreme end of the wire is overlapped or butted with an intermediate portion of the wire to form a fully closed loop at either end of the base. The configurations are actually less compact than previous configurations and, as a result, is less likely to nest with identical fasteners.

  • Patent number: 5806152
Abstract: A latching fastener having cocking and triggering mechanisms is provided. The fastener has two flexible fastening latch arms each fixed at a proximal end of the arm and having a free distal end. The two arms are located relative to each other to cooperate in grasping a structure between them. A fastener cocking mechanism is connected to the fastening latch arms for retracting the distal ends of the arms when the cocking mechanism is activated, to thereby produce a latching gap between the distal ends of the arms. A trigger mechanism is located between the fastening latch arms such that a structure guided into the latching gap can activate the trigger, for deactivating the cocking mechanism, which in turn results in closing together of the distal ends of the fastening latch arms, to grasp the structure between them and latch the structure to the fastener.

  • Patent number: 5806163
Abstract: In forming an element-free space portion in a continuous fastener chain, legs of a number of metallic fastener elements, which legs exist on one side of the fastener chain are cut by a pair of cutting blades, and then coupling heads of the fastener elements and the legs extending from the coupling heads and existing on the other side of the fastener chain are removed from cores of fastener tapes while being clamped by a punch and a die. Therefore, it is possible to remove the fastener element portions from the fastener tapes without damaging the cores and not to require so high precision in positioning the fastener elements at a cutting station, thus the structure of a slide fastener chain manufacturing machine can be simple and hence the rate of production is improved.

  • Patent number: 5806169
Abstract: An electrical motor and the process for forming that motor utilizes injection molding techniques to unitize the stator assembly. The stator assembly includes a stator lamination stack and preferably a metal front end cap which is secured to the lamination stack after the lamination stack is insulated and wound. The windings are terminated at a plurality of conductive pins fusion welded to the terminating ends of the windings. The stator assembly with front end cap in place is positioned in an injection molding die. Pressure is applied to the die, and molten plastic is injected under pressure to fill voids in the stator assembly, and also to form a plastic mass which will serve as the rear end cap. The rear end cap is also molded with a connector portion which fixes the conductive pins in place as a part of the connector. A bore formed in the stator assembly provides mounting surfaces for bearings on a rotor assembly.

Abstract: At a time of disassembling and assembling stator windings of a dynamo-electric machine in which the stator windings fitted in slots formed to an inner periphery of a stator core disposed inside a stator frame are disassembled therefrom and conveyed outside the stator core successively and new stator windings are then conveyed into the stator core and assembled into the slots successively, a mounting apparatus is arranged between the slot and an inside conveyer for mounting the stator winding into the slot. The stator winding is disassembled from the slot into which the stator winding is inserted while receiving and holding the stator winding by a receiving member provided for the mounting apparatus. The stator winding is then moved to the inside conveyer from the mounting apparatus and then conveyed from the inside conveyer to an outside conveyer.

  • Patent number: 5806173
Abstract: In forming a heat exchanger, a tube of the heat exchanger is expanded by a bullet, which is attached to a mandrel. The tube is projected from both end faces of a piled body formed by piling a plurality of fins. Each fin has a tube hole through which the tube passes. The fins and the tube are integrated by expansion of the tube. A first projected section of the tube, which is projected from one end face of the piled body and which has been expanded by the bullet, is held at a prescribed position. The bullet is pressed toward a second projected section, which is projected from the other end face of the piled body. As the bullet moves toward the second projected section, it expands the tube. The second projected section of the tube is allowed to contract during the tube expansion. An object of the present invention is to prevent adhesion of adjacent fins and irregularities in fin clearances between adjacent fins.

  • Patent number: 5806177
Abstract: A process for producing a multilayer printed circuit board which comprises coating a light and heat curable undercoating agent on an internal layer circuit board, irradiating the undercoating agent with active energy beams to make the same tack-free, then laminating thereto a metal foil having an insulating adhesive layer and subsequently heating the resulting assembly to integrally cure the same. When the undercoating agent is coated on an internal layer circuit board and irradiated with a light to be made tack-free, and thereto is laminated a copper foil having a thermosetting insulating adhesive by a rigid roll or the like, the undercoating agent is softened or fluidized and the surface is smoothened. When the resulting laminate is thereafter heated, the undercoating agent coated on the internal layer circuit board and the insulating adhesive coated on the copper foil are integrally cured.
