Abstract: The present invention is a baseplate that has a supporting substrate with a primary surface upon which an array of emitters is formed. An insulator layer with a plurality of cavities aligned with respective emitters is disposed on the primary surface, and an extraction grid with a plurality of cavity openings aligned with respective emitters is deposited on the insulator layer. The extraction grid is made from a silicon based layer of material. A current control substrate formed from the silicon based layer of material of the extraction grid is provided such that the current control substrate is electrically isolated from the extraction grid and electrically connected to the emitters. The current control substrate has sufficient resistivity to limit the current from the emitters.

The degree of the delay is set shorter in an unstable region of the gas sensor than in a stable region, thereby to effectively determine the gas concentration even in the unstable region.

Abstract: A technique is described for correcting phase errors in a bipolar readout gradient MRI imaging sequence, such as an EPI examination. The technique employs alternating sets of oscillating readout gradient pulses. Each readout pulse train has a polarity which is inverted with respect to an immediately preceding and an immediately succeeding readout sequence. The collected data then incorporates both image data and data which is used to correct for phase errors. Following data acquisition, correction factors may be determined from the k-space frames for correction of successive k-space data. K-space frames may be reformatted to inherently correct for phase errors, followed by combination of hybrid k-space data frames to obtain a corrected image.
