Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a brush head comprising a brush head body carrying bristle bundles, in particular for tooth brushes, by way of injection molding, in which a first plastic component is injected into a first mold cavity for forming a bristle carrier, and ends of bristle filaments projecting into the first mold cavity are encompassed by the first plastic component. In order to guarantee a complete filling of the mold and a favorable reproduction of the mold cavity geometry, but to avoid at the same time a penetration of plastic mass into ducts in which the bristle filaments are held, it is suggested by the present invention that the bristle carrier manufactured during the first step is relocated into another mold cavity, which is larger than the bristle carrier, and which is filled with a hard component.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a linear slide fastener capable of maintaining a stabilized condition in which an attachment yarn for attaching a fastener element is never cut out by abrasion due to a contact with other object or sliding of a slider. A coil-like or zigzag-like linear fastener element row is attached to a fastener tape with a multi-filament attachment yarn or a sewing yarn of double lock sewing system. Then, synthetic resin material having adhesive property is applied to an entangled portion between a looper yarn disposed on the linear fastener element row and a needle yarn so as to permeate the entangled portion and harden. Consequently, the attachment yarn is coated and fixed with the synthetic resin material. As the attachment yarn, a weaving yarn or a warp knitting yarn is used. The liquid-containing member may be in the form of a level vial, which can be insert molded in a mold cavity having a shape corresponding to a vial retainer or corresponding to a level. The mold cavity is defined by a pair of mold sections which are configured to form an opening in the body, and the level vial is positioned to extend across the areas of the mold sections defining the opening. The ends of the level vial extend into an area of the mold cavity adapted to receive moldable material, such that injection of moldable material into the mold cavity surrounds and encapsulates the ends of the level vial. The vial is thus mounted to the body by means of the moldable material surrounding and encapsulating the ends of the vial, to securely engage the vial with the body and to eliminate a previously-required assembly step of mounting a vial to a body such as a vial retainer or a level.

Abstract: A spirit level employs an elongated housing having a rectangular cross-sectional outline and provided with registering elongated slots in its front and rear walls. At least one follower of the level has a main portion slidably installed in the housing and one or two pointers outwardly adjacent the slot in the front wall. The two end pieces of the housing are provided with bubble tubes, and each follower has a passage for introduction of a stylus or another suitable marking tool which can be inserted at the front wall to extend outwardly through the slot in the rear wall of the housing.

Abstract: A framing template for use in the framing of building structures. The template has a plurality of groups of printed measuring indicias. These groups of indicias are disposed at predetermined intervals from one another and have a center marking and associated side markings. The markings of each group may be numbered or colored markings or have shaped symbols indicative of repetitive measures from a starting point as well as cumulative measures. The markings are readable regardless if the template is secured on a horizontal or a vertical surface of a building component to indicate the location of building components. In another broad aspect the present invention contemplates a measuring template which is permanently affixed, such as with printing, on building materials requiring measurements for integrating into a building structure.

Abstract: An attachment to a standard measuring rule includes a body securely supporting the measuring rule. Within the body a vernier is provided. The vernier divides twenty-four one-eighth inch divisions into twenty-five equal parts, enabling vernier measurements in units of five-thousandths of an inch. A second vernier with marks spaced by one thousandth of a unit less than said measuring rule enables resolution to thousandth units. The results of the first and second verniers can be summed to yield non-interpolated resolution in thousandths of an inch from a fractional rule. Replacement rules and verniers further enable the measuring instrument to alternatively measure tolerance limits, providing the measuring instrument the adaptability to be converted readily into an easy to read quality control instrument.

In the latter event, adhesive material is used within the extension and connects the extension to the heel portion of the shoe. A member of the extension extends rearwardly and upwardly and serves to support the cuffs of the trousers of a user thereby to keep the trouser cuffs clean by maintaining the position of the cuffs within the extension and out of contact with the grass or ground.
