The blank is thereby configured to conform to the natural shape of a female leg with gradually increasing and decreasing diameters to avoid abrupt diameter changes and maintain the integrity of the blank fabric's appearance.

Preferably, the detachable fastener is selectively attachable both prior to and after the cot frame of the portable cot apparatus is already assembled. Abstract: The present invention is directed to a custom-contoured cushion for a wheelchair or other seating device and a method of making the same. In one embodiment, the novel custom-contoured cushion is comprised of a stretchable bag filled with soft and resilient closed-cell foam pellets adhered together by and/or embedded within an elastomeric polymerizable adhesive. The pellets do not absorb a significant amount of the adhesive and, after molding, remain sufficiently soft and resilient to provide a comfortable and durable cushion. Alternatively, the cushion contains soft and resilient pellets, but does not contain the elastomeric polymerizable adhesive.

In accordance with the invention, the mop includes a latch mechanism for axially retaining the operating member in the latch position. The latch mechanism includes a detent portion and a shoulder portion. One portion is fixedly mounted to the shaft and the other is mounted on the operating member. Preferably, the mop is a twist mop wherein the operating member is relatively rotatable with respect to the shaft. More preferably, the mop includes a ratchet mechanism for releasably restricting relative rotation of the operating member and shaft to one direction of rotation.

This carriage is operatively interconnected with a computer and may be longitudinally moved between a headstock and tailstock which are longitudinally displaced and on which various subassemblies of the fuel tank may be mounted during the assembly of a given fuel tank. Length measurements are preferably made of each fuel tank subassembly prior to any machining operation being executed thereon, as well as after each such machining operation, by monitoring/knowing the longitudinal position of the carriage via the measuring device. These length measurements may be automatically recorded on an appropriate computer-readable storage medium in relation to the subject fuel tank subassembly and the subject fuel tank.

Physical and/or superficial fiducial markers on components are used to distinguishes the alignment of leads on the component. The alignment of fiducial markers on the component are detected. A predetermined fiducial alignment is provided that corresponds to a predetermined lead alignment. The detected fiducial alignment is compared to a predetermined fiducial alignment to determine the lead alignment. When used in conjunction with a pick and place machine, the methods and apparatuses provide a means for verifying and correcting the lead alignment of components prior to placement and attachment to a substrate.

Abstract: A method of fabricating an aircraft leading edge nose structure includes the following steps. Parallel strengthening members are welded onto a flat planar outer skin sheet. Two forming tool members having appropriately shaped outer contours contact the inner surfaces of the strengthening members, and are then pivoted and shifted toward each other so as to bend the outer skin sheet into a parabolic shape along the curved contour defined by the forming tool members. The resulting bent outer skin sheet with the strengthening members welded thereon is secured into a negative mold. To provide boundary layer suction, a perforated throttling sheet, inner ribs, and a non-perforated inner skin sheet may be successively secured by sealant and blind rivets onto the pre-bent structure of the outer skin sheet and the strengthening members. The finished structure is then removed from the mold.

Abstract: A razor for shaving hair from the skin of a user includes a rotating blade assembly connected so as to be rotated by a drive mechanism. The blade assembly includes a generally cylindrical roller rotatably mounted along its longitudinal axis, at least one blade mounted on, and extending along a major part of, the roller, and a guide element associated with each blade. The blade and the guide element are configured to form a safety blade such that, when the blade assembly rotates in direct contact with the skin, the at least one blade shaves hair from the skin without cutting the skin. Preferably, the razor includes two similar blade assemblies rotated by the drive mechanism in opposing directions so as to apply stretching tension to the skin of the user. Also described are a number of safety blade configurations relevant to both manual and power driven exposed-blade razors.

The markings are readable regardless if the template is secured on a horizontal or a vertical surface of a building component to indicate the location of building components. In another broad aspect the present invention contemplates a measuring template which is permanently affixed, such as with printing, on building materials requiring measurements for integrating into a building structure.

The results of the first and second verniers can be summed to yield non-interpolated resolution in thousandths of an inch from a fractional rule. Replacement rules and verniers further enable the measuring instrument to alternatively measure tolerance limits, providing the measuring instrument the adaptability to be converted readily into an easy to read quality control instrument.

A mounting bracket is provided for mounting the display plate in a fixed position relative the door. The mounting bracket can attach the display plate either directly to the door or to a preexisting handle that is already present on the door.
