  • Patent number: 6289577
Abstract: A joined metal-resin plate body having a metal plate (1, 12) and a resin plate (2, 13) joined together, in which an insert member having a through-hole therein is embedded in the resin plate. The insert member is in close contact with the resin of the resin plate in the outer periphery of the insert member except for the faces where the through-hole opens. The metal plate has a metallic joining member (4, 16) adhered thereto. The resin plate is joined to the metal plate with the aid of the joining member fitted in the through-hole. The insert member and the surrounding resin have elastic stresses (F3, F4), which give rise to a sufficient joining strength among the joining member, the insert member and the resin plate. The stress of the surrounding resin is due to elastic deformation. The amount (V2-V3) of the elastic deformation is smaller than the amount (V2) of deformation of the insert member which can give rise to an elastic stress (F3) of the insert member.

  • Patent number: 6289583
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for manufacturing a card with multiple tips, designed in particular for testing semiconductor chips or integrated circuits before encapsulation thereof and comprising an oxidised silicon substrate 10 on the two opposite surfaces, one of the surfaces being provided with conducting strips connected to contacts in the form of tips 26. A thin metal layer 22 is deposited by vapour deposition in a vacuum or by cathode sputtering on one of the insulated surfaces of the monolithic substrate 10, and the conducting strips are obtained by means of a UV photolithography operation making use of a photosensitive resin, followed by etching of the thin metal layer 22 according to the location and shape of the tips 26. Another UV photolithography operation is then performed consisting in depositing a thick layer 24 of photosensitive resin on the thin etched layer, the resin then being revealed with the drawing 25 of the tips.

  • Patent number: 6289584
Abstract: The invention related to a method in the manufacture of a plate heat exchanger (1), preferably a so-called recuperator. This has flow channels arranged between the plates, every other channel being designed to accommodate the flow of a heat-emitting medium and every second channel the flow of a heat-absorbing medium. The flow channels for one of the media, preferably the heat-absorbing medium, are connected in parallel to manifolds for the said medium. The plates also have a raised pattern designed to produce a counter-flow section and two cross-flow sections in the recuperator, one on either side of the counter-flow section, the cross-flow sections having a lower raised pattern height than the counter-flow section. By means of a punching and pressing operation openings (4′, 6′) are made in each plate, with side walls formed around the edges of the openings. Following a joining process, in which the side walls undergo pressure resistant jointing, the side walls from walls of the manifolds (4, 6).
