Abstract: The present invention concerns that of a new and improved apparatus which would allow a user to more easily raise and lower a jack of a vehicle. Presently, it is awkward for most people to use the jack handle that comes as a standard part of all vehicles. The jack handle that presently comes with vehicles can be turned a little over 180 degrees, at which time, the handle of the jack handle must be brought back toward the person's body, at which time, the jack handle is attached to the jack again and the motion is repeated. A traditional jack handle must be constantly used, detached, reattached, and used again approximately 20-30 times before the jack would be an appropriate level for a user to change a tire or perform other desired car repairs or alterations.

Abstract: A portable steam cleaner eliminates the need for the heavy, self-contained machine that houses the water pump, vacuum system, solution tank, and wastewater recovery tank. It moves the vacuum system and recovery tank from the self-contained unit to a module that the technician wears on his back. The water pump itself becomes a separate unit that attaches to any external tank of water at the job site, such as a bathtub. This external tank serves as the solution tank. Because the portable steam cleaner breaks the machine into small, manageable modules, a technician can easily transport the equipment to a job site. With the smaller steam cleaner, the technician has a great degree of flexibility, so he can maneuver the steam cleaner with ease and efficiency. Finally, because the recovery tank rests on the technician's back, he can effortlessly drain the tank simply by opening a valve.

Abstract: In an electronic component mounting method and apparatus, an electronic component is taken out from an electronic component feed position, a posture of the component is detected, and the component is mounted on a board based on a detected result. The method includes acquiring image data with a camera of the component from the feed position, processing acquired image data with a plurality of algorithms for detecting postures of components, and detecting a posture of the component.

Abstract: A tube for a heat exchanger which is formed to have beads for dividing passages for a medium in the tube by roll forming, wherein base portions of the beads are formed to have a thickness (B) greater than a thickness of a plate material for the tube. The roll forming has a first step of sequentially bending the plate to have a depressed shape to form portions-to-be-bead which are to be intermediate forms of the beads, a second step of performing a width drawing of the portions-to-be-bead and a third step of compressing the portions-to-be-bead, after the second step, in a direction of the height of the beads, wherein a width (w′) of the depressions of the portions-to-be-bead (21a) in the first step is larger than a width (w) of depressions of beads (21) after forming, and a height (h′) of portions-to-be-bead (21b) after the second step is determined to be higher than a height (h) of the beads (21) after forming.

Abstract: A portable level and square laser alignment tool comprising a base and a separable L-shaped square. The base serves as an adjustable mounting surface upon which the L-shaped square is removably secured via a dual cam mechanism. The L-shaped square comprises two legs positioned at ninety degrees from each other thereby serving as a square to draw and/or test inside or outside right angles. Carried on each leg is a bubble level for providing a means to level the L-shaped square and/or the base. Additionally, a battery powered laser is attached to and is positioned in-line with each leg. The L-shaped square can be utilized alone or in conjunction with the base.

Abstract: Described are mask-alignment detection structures that measure both the direction and extent of misalignment between layers of an integrated circuit using resistive elements for which resistance varies with misalignment in one dimension. Measurements in accordance with the invention are relatively insensitive to process variations, and the structures using to take these measurements can be formed along with other features on an integrated circuit using standard processes. One embodiment of the invention may be used to measure misalignment between two conductive layers. Other embodiments measure misalignment between diffusion regions and conductors and between diffusion regions and windows through which other diffusion regions are to be formed. A circuit in accordance with one embodiment includes row and column decoders for independently selecting mask-alignment detection structures to reduce the number of test terminals required to implement the detection structures.

Abstract: A device for measuring five parameters which define the riding position of a bicycle, which device may also e used as a jig to guide adjustment. The five parameters measured are: position height, saddle setback, saddle angle, reach to the bars, and bar angle The device treats these parameters as functions of a given rider's anatomy, and compensating adjustments factor out changes in crank length, height of shoe sole or height of pedal which would otherwise alter a rider's “reach” to the pedals. The device includes the scales and gauges needed to perform all measurements or to be used as a jig, as well as the fittings needed to attach it to a bicycle. No other tools are needed, and no disassembly of the bicycle, including crank bolts or cranks, is needed.

Abstract: An apparatus for drying “dry suits”, HAZ MAT suits, cleanroom suits and the like utilizes a blower and heating elements mounted through a neck, wrist or ankle seal of the suit. The heated and compressed air is discharged into the suit to absorb moisture from the internal suit surfaces, then is discharged through the suit seals, rapidly drying the suit. Inserts for establishing a desired discharge rate from the suit seals are described. The inserts also serve to stretch the neck and arm seals to the proper diameter for maintaining comfortable wear.
