Abstract: A method (100) and an apparatus for manufacturing a heat-dissipation device (10) with a vacuum chamber and a working fluid therein are disclosed. The method includes the following steps: vacuuming a hollow metal casing (12) through a first open end (121) thereof until an interior of the casing reaches a predetermined vacuum degree; sealing the first open end; filling a predetermined quantity of working fluid into the casing through a second open end (123) thereof; and sealing the second open end. The apparatus includes a vacuum pump, a liquid-storage tank and a set of processing device, as used respectively for the above vacuuming, liquid-filling and sealing steps. By this apparatus, the heat-dissipation device can be manufactured at a same place without the requirement to shift the casing from one place to another place during the manufacture of the heat-dissipation device.

Abstract: A pressing iron composed of a case provided with an opening and a power cord that extends from the opening, and a cord guide device mounted to the case and disposed in the opening for reinforcing the cord in a region adjacent to the case in order to limit flexure of the cord. The cord guide device includes a body enveloping a portion of the cord and a mobile guide member for permitting the extent of the cord that is reinforced by the cord guide device to be varied. The mobile guide member is supported by the body and is adapted to occupy a folded up position in which the mobile guide member is substantially integrated into the body and a deployed position in which the mobile guide member projects outside of the body.

Abstract: A self-supporting display device having a three-dimensional shape when in an assembled state. The device includes a single sheet including a core having a first end and a second end opposite the first end and a surrounding material around the core. The device further includes separation outlines separating the core from the surrounding material, thereby forming a periphery of the core when the sheet is separated along them during assembling of the device. The core includes a primary face having a display portion and a first tab adjacent the first end of the core that supports the device when it is in the assembled state. The core further includes interior separation lines forming a cutout portion when the device is in an unassembled state and fold lines for folding along to form a three-dimensional shape during assembling of the device.

Abstract: A mailable picture frame greeting card includes a folded easel having an apertured front face and an artwork-receiving compartment behind the apertured front face through which a picture or other artwork may be displayed. The card is constructed using a sheet folded to provide a back flap hingedly attached to a front flap and with an easel-maintaining tether, in one embodiment in the form of a tabbed detent ribbon. The untabbed end of the ribbon is fixedly attached to the front flap and the back flap provided with a notch to receive the tabbed end portion of the ribbon, such that the ribbon prevents the two flaps from spreading apart. In one instance the notch has a protective semicircle at the edge of the back flap and a circular hole at the other end. Moreover, a looped and heat-sealed distal ribbon end provides a convenient detent.
