Abstract: A holder for a rod and reel combination as may be used for ice fishing is disclosed. The holder has an elongated arm pivotally supported on a wall, pail or fixture mounting bracket for adjustable movement in a horizontal plane; and a tubular sleeve is pivotally attached to the arm for removably receiving and holding a rod and its reel in such an orientation that the rod points downwardly for selective positioning over an ice fishing hole. An alarm finger movable between a restrained or cocked position and a tripped position for actuating an audible alarm is attached to the arm. A fishing line engagement member is operatively associated with the alarm finger in such a way that when a fish strikes and pulls the line, the alarm finger is released from its cocked position and moves to its tripped position to actuate the alarm.

Abstract: This invention pertains to new buoyant spoon type fishing lures. The fishing spoon itself is comprised of a buoyant plastic of composite material. The spoon type lure has both concave and convex surfaces which gives the spoon its wobbling action and to which coloring, texture or markings would be affixed, attached or imbedded. Because of its floating tendency, in line weights may be added if desired. Weight attached to a three way swivel may also be used. This allows the spoon to remain in the water column when the weight is sitting on the bottom. The length of line attached to the three way swivel lets the angler know exactly where the lure is when stopped.

Abstract: The invention is directed to an insect collection and viewing device comprising a negative air pressure generating assembly including a motor and a fan driven by the motor and a suitably shaped collection nozzle. A viewing chamber is coupled intermediate the collection nozzle and the negative air pressure assembly. The viewing chamber is tubular in shape and has an air permeable-insect impermeable screen at the downstream opening thereof and a movable valve/lens at the upstream opening thereof. When the valve/lens is open an air flow is established through the device. The air flow path is from the nozzle through the viewing chamber into and out of the assembly. In operation insects of interest are captured by sucking the insect into the device through the nozzle, then through the open valve/lens into the viewing chamber where it is captured between the screen and the closed valve. By making the valve in the shape of a transparent lens the trapped insect may be inspected through the magnifying lens.

Abstract: A linear multiple feeder for use with machines for automatically positioning surface-mounted devices (SMDs) collected from a tape wound on a reel. The tape has a protective film coating removably attached thereto, and detachable therefrom for enabling the device to be picked-up. The feeder comprises a support structure, a plurality of reels of tape carrying the device revolvingly mounted to the structure, motor-driven wheels for retrieving the protective film being detached from the tape to expose those components that are ready for collection, a plurality of relatively parallel lanes on the support structure, downstream from the film-retrieving wheels. Also provided is a device for forward linear delivery of the tape along the lanes. The delivery device includes a carriage moving alternately between two stops and carrying a row of tape-entraining pins selectively engageable with holes in the tape and inside the lanes so as to induce forward motion of only those tapes selected.

Abstract: A package wrapping removal system and method of operation for removing a wrapping from a product has a first cutter that cuts the wrapping along a first side face of the wrapped product as the product moves along a first transport. A second transport of the system then receives the wrapped product from the first transport. As the wrapped product moves along the second transport, the first cutter and an opposing second cutter cut the wrapping along respective flanking side faces of the product. A vacuum device integrated into the second transport then removes the wrapping as one piece as the unwrapped product continues to move downstream.

Abstract: A pattern former for assembling wrapped bakery products into predetermined patterns comprises a perforated vacuum turntable. Vacuum is applied to the vacuum turntable while bakery products are loaded thereon and positioned in a predetermined pattern. Once the bakery products are positioned on the turntable in the predetermined pattern, an air assist is applied to the vacuum turntable while the bakery products are unloaded therefrom. The air assist eliminates contact between the wrappers of the wrapped bakery product and the upper surface of the turntable thereby eliminating disorientation of the bakery products within the wrappers.
