Abstract: In a piezoelectric thin film device of the present invention, the degree of flexibility is enhanced in selection of a piezoelectric material constituting a piezoelectric thin film and the crystal orientation in the piezoelectric thin film. A piezoelectric thin film filter, including four film bulk acoustic resonators, has a configuration where a filter section for providing a filter function of the piezoelectric thin film filter is bonded with a flat base substrate mechanically supporting the filter section via an adhesive layer. In manufacturing of the piezoelectric thin film filter, a piezoelectric thin film is obtained by performing removal processing on a piezoelectric substrate, but the piezoelectric thin film obtained by removal processing cannot independently stand up under its own weight. For this reason, a prescribed member including the piezoelectric substrate is previously bonded to the base substrate as a support prior to the removal processing.

Abstract: The present invention relates to shoes that include a cavity that is configured to store a variety of different types of items. For example, in one embodiment, the cavity is configured to accept the removable insertion of a storage module that may contain a variety of items, for example children books and/or toys. In other embodiments, items may be stored inside the cavity without the use of the storage module. The storage module may also be secured within the cavity of the shoe through the use of a variety of fasteners. The storage module may be an integral part of the shoe, or may be separate part of the shoe. Further, the storage module may be connected to the shoe through the use of a strap.

Abstract: Support structures for footwear and the like include a contacting member (e.g., an outsole) that includes at least two recessed segments extending in a longitudinal direction in the forefoot portion. The recessed segments provide lines of flex such that various regions of the contacting member independently move about the lines of flex and separately engage/disengage from a contact surface when a wearer shifts his/her weight. Additionally or alternatively, the contacting member may include a set of traction members in the forefoot portion that inhibit forefoot movement in a lateral direction while optionally allowing forefoot movement in a medial direction and a set of traction members in a heel portion that inhibit heel movement in the medial direction while optionally allowing heel movement in the lateral direction. Such support structures may be used, e.g., for golf shoes or shoes for other activities requiring a swinging or twisting action.

Abstract: Support structures for footwear and the like include contact surface-contacting members (e.g., outsole structures) having an exterior surface that includes: (a) a recessed segment extending longitudinally from a forefoot to a heel portion, (b) plural lateral motion inhibiting traction elements in the lateral, forefoot portion, and (c) plural medial motion inhibiting traction elements in the lateral, heel portion. The recessed segment provides a flex line about which the medial and lateral sides of the surface-contacting member can move to independently engage and disengage from a contact surface as a wearer's weight shifts. In at least some structures, the lateral side of the foot-supporting member may be less flexible and/or more stable than the medial side. Support structures of the types described above can allow more of the surface-contacting member to remain in contact with the ground and provide a solid base or support for the movement or activity.

When the head 5 engages an opening 10 of a female tag 11 of rigid material, the partial shell 6 of hard material is able to compress around the softer mate core 4A in a direction indicated by arrows Y and around the vertical axis X-X. In doing so the head 5 does not lose its essentially circular cross section so that entry through the circular opening 10 of the female tag 1 1 is not hindered.

During a portion of a rotation of the input gear element (50), the input gear teeth (72) engage the output gear teeth (78). During another portion, the input gear teeth (72) disengage. At least one partial gear tooth (82a, 82b) assists in periodically aligning the gear teeth. The sheet is formed with a raised perimeter surface surrounding the recessed areas. A porous wall separates one of the recessed areas into a first and a second open compartments. A closed container of a frangible material is placed within one of the compartments and the container is filled with a first chemiluminescent fluid.
