Abstract: System (1) and method for removing plants from a cultivation area (2) or, alternatively, placing plants therein. Such plants are preferably pot plants, but can also be other plants, for example placed in trays. A feed/removal belt (4) extends along the cultivation surface (2). Perpendicularly thereto there is a branch conveyor (17), likewise constructed as a conveyor belt. A much wider collection belt (5) is arranged, once again perpendicular thereto, that is to say parallel to the feed/removal conveyors (4). Interacting with this there is a distribution device (6) that extends over the depth of the cultivation surface (2) and has a fork (16) which is able to remove the plants from the collection conveyor (5) or, alternatively, place them thereon and set them down on the cultivation surface (2) or pick them therefrom, respectively.

The sections of slatted vent panel interfit to provide the desired height of the vent. Trim channel is cut and sized to surround the vent. The structure is assembled by fastening the individual components to the wall of a building. The trim channels can be either J channel, when the vent is intended to abut another surface, or T channel, when vinyl siding abuts the vent. This provides the builder the flexibility to form a gable vent of a desired size and shape at the job site. Further, the slatted vent panels are designed to connect directly to siding. This allows the slatted vent panels to be attached to the wall of a building in the same manner as siding.

Foundation assemblies or anchor structures are first precisely located before concrete is poured to form the foundation, encasing the anchor structures within the foundation. Columns may then be attached to the anchor structures without the need for readjusting the location of the columns. The rest of the building framework is subsequently attached to the columns. The resulting structure is highly resistant to uplift forces and seismic effects while being much faster and simpler to assemble than previous structures. Abstract: An air filter assembly for removing particulate matter from an incoming dirty air stream. The assembly includes a housing having an inlet, an outlet, a dirty air chamber and a clean air chamber and a non-cylindrical shaped elongated filter element arranged within the dirty air chamber constructed to remove particulate matter from an incoming air stream. A plurality of non-cylindrical filter elements are preferred. The non-cylindrical filter elements provide a decreased incoming air stream velocity when compared to conventional cylindrical filter elements having the same surface area. Alternately, the non-cylindrical filter elements allow an increase in the volume of incoming air when compared to conventional cylindrical filter elements having the same surface area.

Abstract: Hard disk drive housing including at least one inlet, at least one outlet. The inlet is situated near spindle and above disk in hard disk drive. The outlet is situated near outside diameter of disk. When disk rotates, air pressure near the inlet is lower than air pressure near the outlet, causing a flow of air through the hard disk drive from the inlet to the outlet, tending to cool the hard disk drive. The inlet may include inlet filter. Outlet may include outlet filter. Manufacturing the housing by providing the inlet and the outlet. The disk cover as manufacturing product. Operating the hard disk drive containing the housing. The hard disk drive containing the housing, and manufacturing the hard disk drive. The hard disk drive as manufacturing product. A system containing at least one of the hard disk drives. Manufacturing the system, and the system as a manufacturing product.

Abstract: A rotary phase separator system generally includes a step-shaped rotary drum separator (RDS) and a motor assembly. The aspect ratio of the stepped drum minimizes power for both the accumulating and pumping functions. The accumulator section of the RDS has a relatively small diameter to minimize power losses within an axial length to define significant volume for accumulation. The pumping section of the RDS has a larger diameter to increase pumping head but has a shorter axial length to minimize power losses. The motor assembly drives the RDS at a low speed for separating and accumulating and a higher speed for pumping.

Abstract: A filter screen structure includes a filter screen having air vents distributed thereon, and one or more layers of impedance material attached to the filter screen to increase an impedance of the filter screen and reduce the speed of air flowing through the filter screen. Through proper attachment of the impedance material to the filter screen in predetermined manners, the speed of air flown through the filter screen may be effectively adjusted to thereby regulate the volume of air flown through the filter screen.

Abstract: In exhaust gas purification system (10) including catalyst unit (50) carrying a NOx occlusion-reduction type catalyst, a first-stage rich control having a target air-fuel ratio lower than theoretical air-fuel ratio is conducted through addition of the amount of reducing agent meeting the amount of oxygen emitted in the initial stage of regeneration control. In the first-stage rich control, the completion of oxygen emission is judged on the basis of the oxygen concentration on the downstream side of catalyst unit (50). Upon determination of the completion of oxygen emission, a later-stage rich control close to the theoretical air-fuel ratio with the target air-fuel ratio increased over that of the first-stage rich control is carried out to thereby accomplish regeneration of the catalyst unit (50).
