Abstract: A method of packaging wine or a similar beverage in a glass receptacle, in which a carbon dioxide content of less than 400 mg/l is established in the wine, and a glass receptacle is filled with the wine or beverage of reduced carbon dioxide content under an inert carbon dioxide-containing atmosphere. The glass receptacle is then heat sealed under the inert atmosphere containing carbon dioxide with a flexible disposable capsule having an overall oxygen permeability of not more than 5 cm3/m2/24 h. A headspace between the wine or beverage and the capsule is formed in the receptacle having carbon dioxide trapped therein, and an oxygen content of less than 5% by volume, and the carbon dioxide content in the receptacle is sufficient that a reduction in pressure in the receptacle after sealing by dissolution of the carbon dioxide trapped in the headspace into the wine or beverage filled in the receptacle causes the capsule to be drawn inwardly.

Abstract: A filtration apparatus for separating particulate and liquid impurities, such as dust, liquid or oil, from a natural gas. The filtration apparatus has a horizontally oriented filter enclosure with a plurality of filter elements which are not in parallel with the long axis of the enclosure, thus enabling filtered particles to fall out of the filter elements into a collection sump for later removal. A dividing plate, upon which the filter elements are mounted, is angled slightly out of level for the purpose of guiding the filtered particulate and liquid impurities to a collection sump. The gas flowing into the enclosure undergoes a rapid expansion, which serves to remove larger particles and liquids entrained in the gas. The gas is further “pre-filtered” by forcing it through a tortuous path of abrupt changes in direction prior to encountering the filter elements.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for regenerating a particle filter (10) arranged in the exhaust line (12) of an internal-combustion engine, notably of diesel type, wherein the clogging state of the filter is evaluated, this state is compared with a threshold value, then, if this threshold value is exceeded, a fluid and a fuel are mixed together, this mixture is subjected to catalytic combustion to generate the hot gases required for regeneration of the filter and regeneration of the filter is carried out by means of hot gases flowing through said filter and whose temperature is sufficiently high to provide combustion of the particles retained in this filter. According to the invention, prior to mixing the fluid and the fuel, the temperature of the fluid is raised up to the catalytic combustion light-off temperature.
