Abstract: A tube, or duct, is constructed, drawing air from the top of the enclosed structure, or area, through the use of a high speed rotating fan, and filtered. The air is drawn through the tube, or duct, by a second high speed rotating fan to the base of the enclosed structure, where it is filtered a second time, and exhaled back into the enclosed structure. Not only does this process improve air circulation, but also energy efficiency.

Abstract: A filter for internal combustion engine air intake comprised of a synthetic fiber media uniquely enhanced with an electrostatic charge. The media described in this application is a low restriction synthetic fiber media enhanced with an electrostatic charge applied to the media fibers to greatly improve efficiency and dust holding capacity. This charge is so effective that unlike other mechanical filters the initial efficiency of this media is as high, or higher than its efficiency after use. The applied charge will either attract particles of an opposite charge that might otherwise pass through the media or in cases of particles with similar charges an induced dipole is formed to attract those particles. The claims of this patent will not be for the method of enhancing this media but for its use and configuration for use in engine intake air filtration.

Abstract: A dehumidifier system having a dehumidifier section within which liquid desiccant absorbs moisture from air flowing therethrough and a dehumidifier section within which the desiccant is regenerated employs a heat exchanger for maintaining a relatively high temperature differential between the desiccant contained within the dehumidifier and regenerator sections. The desiccant which is conducted to either the dehumidifier section or the regenerator section is separated into multiple streams, and the multiple streams are treated differently from one another before being discharged into preselected segments of the air flow moving through the corresponding one of the dehumidifier section and the regenerator section. A control scheme in the system is capable of altering, and thereby improving, the concentration level of desiccant utilized in the system.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of imparting flavor enhancers, (flavorings) flavor or aroma masking agents, medicinal additives, fragrances, vitamins, colorants, homeopathic and herbal remedies, appearance and characteristic modifiers and other ingredients to a brewed or steeped beverage such as coffee or tea by means of a microencapsulated delivery system incorporated onto a substrate or filter material such as those used in drip coffee makers or tea bags. The microcapsules are “printed” or laminated to the substrate filter paper in a pattern that allows water to pass through while the microcapsules filled with a flavoring liquid or solid is dissolved thus releasing the contents into the water stream resulting in a flavor-enhanced beverage.

Abstract: A machine for brewing a beverage such as coffee includes a chamber and a piston disposed in the chamber. The piston is operable to move to a first position to allow the chamber to receive a liquid and a flavor base such as ground coffee, to remain in the first position for a time sufficient for the beverage to brew, and to move to a second position to dispense the beverage by forcing the beverage out of the chamber. By modifying some or all steps of the French press brewing technique, the machine can typically control coffee-brewing parameters with a level of precision that yields brewed coffee having a uniform taste from cup to cup, and can typically brew the coffee with a speed that renders the machine suitable for use by establishments that serve significant amounts of coffee.

The method comprises that a strainometer is provided on the periphery of a cooking pot of the electric pressure cooker, and a transmission arm is utilized to sense the expanding amount of the cooking pot and converts the expanding amount into a displacement, then makes the elastomer of the strainometer distorting; the distorting elastomer generates subsequently a controllable electric signal due to the electric characteristic of a sensitive foil, and the controllable electric signal is delivered to a central control unit, then control signals and display signals are outputted by the central control unit. The detection device comprises a strainometer, a transmission arm, a central control unit and the like.

Abstract: A bar-b-que cooking device is described. A cylindrical basket is suspended in proximity to a heating device to form the main body of the bar-b-que cooking device. The basket is connected to a motor which slowly rotates the basket. A smoke box is attached to the main body and allows a user to add wood chips or other smoke-producing materials. Frozen French fries or other foodstuffs are added to the basket and the device is activated, causing the basket to slowly spin around its horizontal axis. Heat from the heating device cooks the foodstuffs while the smoke box adds the smoky, outdoor-cooking flavors. The spinning action of the basket continuously repositions the foodstuffs during cooking so that they cook evenly.
