Publication number: 20090094919Abstract: Connectors for joining adjacent modular floor covering units. The connectors include a film and an adhesive layer coated on one side of the film. To install tiles using the connectors, a first tile is placed on the floor and a connector is positioned so that the adhesive layer faces upward and does not contact the floor. The connector is typically positioned so that only a portion of the adhesive layer adheres to the underside of the tile, leaving the remainder of the connector extending from the underside of the tile. Tiles are then positioned adjacent the first tile so that a portion of the connector adheres to the adjacent tiles. In this way, the connectors span adjacent tile edges. The tiles are assembled on a underlying flooring surface without the need to attach them to the floor surface. Rather, the tiles are linked to each other with the connectors, so that the tiles create a floor covering that “floats” on the underlying floor surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 13, 2008Publication date: April 16, 2009Inventors: Graham A.H. The compressed air is fed to the first combustion chamber (14) for combusting a first fuel, and the gas which issues from the first turbine (15) is fed to the second combustion chamber (16) for combusting a second fuel. Increased flexibility and safety in operation is achieved by different fuels being used as first and second fuel.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 2, 2008Publication date: April 16, 2009Inventors: Adnan Eroglu, Jaan Hellat, Felix Guethe, Peter Flohr

Publication number: 20090094961Abstract: A gas turbine engine system includes a first nozzle section associated with a gas turbine engine bypass passage and a second nozzle section that includes a plurality of positions relative to the first nozzle section. In at least one of the positions, there is a gap between the first nozzle section and the second nozzle section. A movable door between the first nozzle section and the second nozzle section selectively opens or closes the gap.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 15, 2007Publication date: April 16, 2009Inventor: Alfred M. Publication number: 20090094962Abstract: The invention relates to a method for regenerating an emission control system of an internal combustion engine, comprising a storage catalytic converter, a first exhaust gas probe being situated in an exhaust gas tract upstream of the storage catalytic converter and a second exhaust gas probe being situated in a second exhaust gas tract downstream of the storage catalytic converter. A first output signal of a first exhaust gas probe and a second output signal of a second exhaust gas probe are supplied to an engine management system and the storage catalytic converter is regenerated by being exposed to a reductant in a regeneration phase.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 13, 2006Publication date: April 16, 2009Applicant: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Frank Schweizer, Stefan Scherer, Gerd Hartmann

Publication number: 20090094963Abstract: A PM sensor for measuring particle matter in exhaust gas is disposed between a three-way catalyst and a muffler in an exhaust pipe, and has an oxidation catalyst and an electrical heater that are stacked together, and a temperature sensor that measures a temperature of the oxidation catalyst interposed between the oxidation catalyst and the electrical heater. The oxidation catalyst carries a ceria as an oxygen-storing agent that occludes oxygen in the exhaust gas, and a ECU calculates a sediment amount of the exhaust particulate matter based on an amount of temperature rise when the electrical heater heats the oxidation catalyst and an accumulated value of an intake air amount.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 14, 2007Publication date: April 16, 2009Applicant: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Hiroaki Mizoguchi, Takahiko Fujiwara

Publication number: 20090094967Abstract: A second air flow control apparatus disposed between an air inlet port of an engine and an exhaust port includes a body, a base, a moving member, and a gas thread. The body has a cavity, an air inlet and an air outlet, the air inlet and the air outlet being connected through the cavity. The base is fixed in the cavity, having at least an opening for controlling the air flow through the air flowing path. The moving member is pivotably disposed in the cavity or the base by a spring force and having at least a gate and a cover configured for controlling the area of the opening. The gas thread is connected to the moving member and configured for pulling the moving member to generate a processional rotation and a resetting rotation. The rotations are configured for controlling the gate and the cover part to adjust the opening area of the opening so as to precisely control the second air flow.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2007Publication date: April 16, 2009Inventors: Chia-Wu Wu, Vincent Shiu

Publication number: 20090094968Abstract: An exhaust-gas purification device disposition structure of a vehicle, comprises a fuel tank with a fuel supply port which is disposed so as to be open to an outside of a vehicle compartment, and a urea tank to accommodate urea water solution as deoxidizer to purify exhaust gas. The urea tank is disposed outside the vehicle compartment, and a pouring port of the urea tank is provided inside the vehicle compartment. Accordingly, the urea water solution can be surely prevented from entering into the vehicle compartment even in case of the breakage of the urea tank, and the mistake of supplying the wrong liquid into the wrong supply (pouring) port tank which may be made by confusing the ports can be avoided.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 8, 2008Publication date: April 16, 2009Applicant: MAZDA MOTOR CORPORATIONInventors: Makoto IKEGAMI, Yukiichirou SHIMADA, Noritaka SAKIYAMA, Noriyoshi SAHASHI, Kota MATSUE, Chikara ISHIHARA, Shinya MATSUMOTO, Yoshikazu NISHIMURA, Yoshiaki MURAKAMI, Masamitsu TANAKA, Ken UEKI
