Abstract: A protective suit (1) with a trunk part (5) comprising an upper shoulder part (2) with a neck opening (22) and sleeve openings (7,8) arranged on either side of the neck opening (22), a lower trouser part (3) with two leg openings (9,10), a waist part (4) arranged between the shoulder part (2) and the trouser part (3), and sleeves (11 ,12) attached to the sleeve openings (7,8) and legs (13,14) attached to the leg openings (9,10), and comprising an openable seal (19) arranged in the trunk part (5). The openable seal (19) extends continuously from a point (17,18; 21) on the front (15) of the protective suit (1) located level with one sleeve opening (7), in a line down past the waist part (4) and continuing in over the trouser part (3) and then in a downward arch across the back (16) of the protective suit, back to the front (15) of the trouser part (3), continuing in a line up past the waist part (4) to a point (17,18; 21) situated level with the other sleeve opening (8).

Abstract: Beauty Tape is a flexible BAND-AID type material cut and shape to protect the forehead, temples, neck and ears from accidental burns by hot utensils during the toilet process. The tape would not contain the medicated center found in BAND-AID type bandages. BEAUTY TAPE can be made from the same conforming materials currently marketed by the makers CURAD and BAND-AID. The strips of tapes can be contoured and made easy to apply to the desired area. The strips of tapes can be used one at a time or uniformly to form a preventative layer of tape on the head, neck and ears.

Abstract: My invention is the perforation of hat visors. Perforated Projection Visors are articles of manufacture that are to be worn on a person's head. It involves cutting into the visor of a hat. A picture can be perforated through the hat's visor, allowing it to be reflected onto a person's face or article of clothing. Plastic is placed into the hat's visor so that a person can be protected from elements of the weather. The plastic can also be tinted so that the picture can be in color when reflected onto a person's clothing.

Abstract: Applicant has disclosed a “Launderable Tritium Hood” with a removable visor assembly that allows the visor (i.e., view plate) and the remainder of the hood to be cleaned separately, and by different methods, for their reuse. In the preferred embodiment, Applicant's invention comprises: a launderable tritium suit hood; a removable visor assembly with a visor removably attached to a channel assembly; and, a bead assembly attached to the hood's fabric by stitching, wherein the channel assembly, with its attached visor, can be press-fit onto the bead assembly and subsequently peeled off when desired. Applicant's invention can also be thought of as a method comprising: press fitting a removable visor assembly onto a bead affixed to a tritium suit hood to create a gas-tight seal between the visor assembly and hood; and lifting and peeling the visor assembly off the bead to remove the visor assembly from the hood.

Abstract: Arm protective knitted articles of clothing that are constructed with a component of a protective ruched barrier that prevents wind from entering the gap that forms in the sleeve opening at the bottom of a coat or jacket sleeve. The protective knitted articles of clothing are constructed of a palm or hand cover at the bottom end, an elongated sleeve that is ruched and tacked at the middle of the garment and a rib at the top end. The construction of the finished article of clothing is a one-piece knitting operation consisting of palm/hand covering, elongated sleeve and ribbed top end. The ruching and tacking of the elongated sleeve are additional sewing operations. The protective ruched barrier located above the palm/handing covering and below the ribbed top end fills the space between the hand covering and the coat or jacket sleeve opening.

Abstract: A rubber heatproof mitten is essentially a bag. The bag is shaped as cone-like and has an open end, a closed end, an outer surface, an inner surface, two heatproof braces, a wave section, multiple top ribs and at least one outer rib. The closed end is formed on a narrow side of the cone-like bag and has a finger section and a thumb section. The finger section and the thumb section both have a palm side surface. The two heatproof braces are respectively formed on the palm side surfaces. Each heatproof brace has an enhancement layer, multiple connecting ribs and multiple nubs. The wave section is integrally formed between the closed end and the open end of the bag. The top ribs are separately formed longitudinally on the inner surface of the bag. The outer rib is formed on the outer surface of the bag.

Abstract: A shin guard includes a plate made of a rigid material sandwiched between two layers of flexible material, such as foam. The two flexible layers are attached to each other around a periphery of at least one of the flexible layers. The plate includes a center panel attached to only one of the flexible material layers. The plate also includes two side panels hingedly attached to the center panel so that the panels can move with respect to the center panel. The panels are not attached to either layer of flexible material so the panels can move with respect to both flexible material layers.

Abstract: The invention relates to a nonwoven fabric which is bonded at selected points by use of a binder containing particles composed of filler material (a phase change material, among others) and which is not bonded at other selected points. The nonwoven fabric is characterized by a soft touch and good flexibility, and may be used as an interlining material or an intermediate layer.

Abstract: A non-skid means for helping prevent slip accidents with respect to infants in which a baby garment is provided having front and rear sides, the rear side comprising an external fabric surface, the external fabric surface of the rear side comprising thereon a plurality of non-slip rubber emblems each having an overall predetermined decorative shape, wherein each of the plurality of non-slip rubber emblems comprises at least one layer of cured low viscosity silicone rubber applied by a silk screen printing process in which low viscosity liquid silicone rubber is used in place of ink.

Abstract: A firefighter's coat including an outer shell and a liner. The outer shell has an inner surface, an outer surface, a front opening with a closure, and a downwardly extending rear tail. The liner has an outer surface facing the inner surface of the shell providing a barrier against the environment. The liner outer surface has a bottom edge loose from the outer shell inner surface to facilitate air circulation for drying when the coat is not in use, and a pocket is defined along the bottom of the outer shell tail and adapted to receive the rear of the liner bottom edge when the coat is in use. A releasable fastener is adapted to releasably secure the liner in the pocket.

Abstract: A weighted article for providing deep pressure therapy includes a plurality of patchwork pieces including a plurality of layers. At least some of the patchwork pieces include a filler of weighted material contained between at least two of the plurality of layers. The plurality of patchwork pieces are fastened together at edges.

Abstract: A medical outfit having one or more garments is provided. An example garment has a front portion including an opening for a person's neck, and an off-center opening extending in a downward direction from the neck area. The off-center opening may extend less than the full length of the front portion. This example garment may also have one or more slanted and/or upright side pockets. The back portion of the garment may include an off-center opening extending in a downward direction from the neck opening. Another example garment, which may be worn with or without another example garment, is a covering for the lower part of a patient. The garment may have left and/or right side openings configured to be closeable and extending downwardly from a waist section. The waist section may be adjustable at one or both the right and left side openings.

Abstract: A patch for garments and other articles for producing light and sound from the patch. The patch for garments or other articles includes a multi-layered and waterproof composite structure having a cover outer layer made from PVC film, a top layer made from molded PVC, an intermediate layer being a circuit board member and a bottom layer made from PVC film. The cover outer layer includes artwork or graphics on the PVC film of the cover outer layer. The top layer includes an interior first compartment for receiving the circuit board member therein, an interior speaker compartment for receiving a speaker member therein and an interior button compartment for receiving a push button switch therein. The circuit board member includes a battery member, an IC chip, a light assembly and a sound and speaker assembly.

Abstract: Described herein is a clothing and puppet system. The clothing and puppet system includes an article of clothing and a puppet attached to the article of clothing. The system further includes at least one coupling, wherein a first portion of the at least one coupling is attached to the article of clothing, and wherein a second portion of the coupling is attached to the puppet, such that when the first portion mates with the second portion, the puppet is attached to the article of clothing.

Abstract: A pair of sports fan gloves, each having a front side and a back side, and a plurality of members positioned in covering relation to the front side of each glove. The glove may be manufactured from any conventional cloth fabric or similar material used for clothing apparel, and dimensioned to be worn on various sized hands. The members are preferably made of a firm plastic or other rigid polymer and affixed to the palm and fingers of each glove in spaced relation to each other. Users wearing two such gloves may applaud or handclap in the convention manner, with improved audibility and loudness of the resulting clapping sound.

Abstract: A glove includes two “H” shaped stiffening battens on a dorsal side. The battens terminate on a proximal side of the second through fifth fingers, and are formed from a non-rigid material. A one-piece protective panel is attached to the palmar side of the glove. The protective panel covers portions of the wearing hand palm corresponding to the distal ends of the second through fifth metacarpal bones, as well as palmar side portions of the second through fifth digits corresponding to the second through fifth proximal phalanx bones. Flex notch cut-outs in the protective panel correspond to portions of the palmar region which tend to bunch during gripping of a bar or other object and help prevent discomfort during such gripping.

Abstract: A kit for application of self-tanning preparations includes a self-tanning composition and an application glove for applying the composition to the skin which is constructed from fabric including microfibers of 1 denier or less. The inner surface of the glove has a liner of an impermeable flexible material adhered thereto. The microfiber fabric can be knit or woven, and can be cellulosic fiber, polyester or other synthetic fiber, or a combination of mechanical or intimate blends. In a preferred embodiment, the microfiber fabric is 85% polyester and 15% spandex, with the technical front including polyester microfiber yarn of 1 denier or less. The technical front of the fabric forms the application surface of the glove. The kit can include a cleansing/exfoliating composition, at least one disposable plastic glove for handling the application glove after use, a disposable tray for receiving the glove after use and a moisturizing preparation for the skin.

Abstract: A fabric garment comprises a design or logo sewn onto the fabric using thread and a radio frequency identification tag secured to the fabric by the thread. In one embodiment, the tag comprises a first insulating layer, a chip, an antenna connected to the chip and formed by a conductive track on the first insulating layer, and a second insulating layer. The first and second insulating layers form insulating areas between portions of the conductive track. The tag is secured to the garment by said thread, and the thread that passes through said tag passes only through the insulating areas of said tag. In another embodiment, the tag comprises a chip and an antenna comprising at least one conductive strand having a first end conductively connected to the chip, and at least part of the logo is embroidered using the first conductive strand.

Abstract: There is provided an apparatus for opening/closing a chin protection bar installed in a helmet cap having a front opening, the apparatus including: a fixing unit which is fixed to the helmet cap and includes a movable shaft guide having an elongated hole shape and a pivoting guide formed approximately vertical to the movable shaft guide; and a pivoting unit which is fixed to the chin protection bar and includes a first connecting unit slidably inserted into the movable shaft guide and a second connecting unit slidably inserted into the pivoting guide, wherein the pivoting guide has a straight line shape, and the second connecting unit moves back and forth in a straight line in the pivoting guide and the first connecting unit moves back and forth in a straight line in the movable shaft guide according to the straight-line back-and-forth movement of the second connecting unit.

Abstract: A double lens includes a front lens member, a back lens member and a gasket. A back curve side of the front lens member and a front curve side of the back lens member are contraposed in parallel, and fixed together with the gasket, at least one of the back curve side of the front lens member and the front curve side of the back lens member has an antifogging film which is formed avoiding part of a gasket bonding area. This double lens provides goggles or a shield in which fogging is less likely to be generated, the gasket is less likely to be separated, and the front curve side of the front lens member is less likely to be damaged.

Abstract: A sensing-type lavatory seat structure with covering film includes a covering film output portion and a covering film collecting portion, a rolling motor and a pivot motor accommodated in a body portion thereof, and a U-shaped seat, through two ends thereof, connected to the covering film output portion and the covering film collecting portion. When the user approaches, a sensing unit senses the situation, controls the pivot motor to lower down the seat and controls the rolling motor to replace the covering film. Then, after the user leaves, the sensing unit once again senses the variation, and controls the pivot motor to lift up the seat to wait for the next time usage.

Abstract: A foot-operated apparatus for lifting and lowering a toilet seat has base support adapted to attach to an existing flooring surface using a loop and hook fastener with an adhesive material allowing the base to be easily installed and easily removed for ease of cleaning the unit and the area around the toilet. A lever foot pedal mounted in the base may be a single unit made of extruded and molded poly carbonate material for durability and corrosion resistance. A push rod pivotally connected to the foot pedal and pivotally connected to the toilet seat lifts and lowers the seat upon foot actuation and release, respectively. A leaf spring disposed in the base under the foot pedal returns the toilet seat to the down position after use. Kits may provide the disassembled parts of the apparatus and written instructions for assembly.

Abstract: A blockage clearing device for unclogging a drain or toilet, the device includes an elongated cover, wherein the cover includes a first handle portion at one end, a base portion at the opposite end, and a mid portion therebetween. The device also includes a snake member, wherein the snake member includes an unclogging portion fixably attached to a cap portion that includes an adjustment handle for detachable attachment of the snake member to the cover; and, means for extending and retracting the snake member from the cover when the device is used to unclog a drain or toilet.

Abstract: A sink straining assembly includes a strainer disposed in a drain outlet of a trough and having multiple through holes defined in the strainer. A stopper is selectively inserted into the strainer for closing the strainer and storing water in the trough. The stopper has a disk formed with a periphery abutting against an inner periphery of the strainer. A plurality of partitions is integrally disposed under a lower part of the disk for abutting the bottom of the strainer. A through hole is defined in the disk and a pulling bar extends through the through hole for selectively closing the through hole. The pulling bar has an enlarged head for selectively closing the through hole. A stub vertically extends from the enlarged head through the through hole in the disk. A spring is compressively sleeved on the stub after the stub extending through the through hole in the disk.

Abstract: Durable protective covers for drains and other holes are provided which prevent spills and unwanted liquids from flowing therein. The protective covers include a durable backing layer and a pliable, tacky sealing layer which conforms and adheres to a surface surrounding the drain to reduce or eliminate the flow of liquids into the drain. A low-density bonding layer is provided between the pliable, tacky sealing layer and the durable backing layer in order to provide significantly improved adherence between the layers.

Abstract: A portable, self-contained, toilet and sanitation system is disclosed. The system utilizes gravity and non-mechanical means to actually “flush” human bodily waste into a septic storage tank for later removal and disposal and contains sufficient water supply and storage capacity to allow the system to be used continuously for over eight hours. The system is a closed design and operates substantially as a permanent toilet wherein waste odors are trapped and then vented to the atmosphere.

Abstract: A non-pressurized fresh water supply flushing system for a marine sanitation device is disclosed. The flushing system includes a fresh water reservoir having a predetermined capacity for holding a predetermined volume of fresh water, a mounting arrangement for mounting the fresh water reservoir to a support surface, a fresh water source associated with the fresh water reservoir for supplying fresh water to this fresh water reservoir and a fluid connection fitting for transferring the predetermined volume of renewable non-pressurized fresh water from the fresh water reservoir to the marine sanitation device upon activation of the marine sanitation device. A method of retrofitting an existing marine sanitation device and a kit for supplying a marine sanitation device with the fresh water supply flushing system of the invention is also disclosed. The fresh water flushing system of the invention may be used with toilets located in a variety of limited space environments.

Abstract: A putting green whose perimeter is level with the top of a concrete-sided pool having a decorative ribbon along the top of the pool side and an apron surrounding the pool having at least partially flat surface, the putting green overlying a deck including a) a waterproof surface comprising decking surface members having lengths and ends, the lengths being sized to the dimensions of the pool and the surface being at the same level as the pool apron; b) supports including i. cross members which are perpendicular to the lengths of the decking surface members; ii. underlying joists that form a sturdy base for the cross members; and iii. joist hangers being secured to the sides of the pool below the decorative ribbon along the top of the pool side and being sunk into the concrete side of the pool; and c) a putting green comprising at least the layers of gravel, sand and artificial grass.

Abstract: An improved motor-driven pump is provided for delivering a flow of water in a swimming pool or spa environment or the like. The improved pump includes a motor mounted within a motor housing having a seal plate mounted at one end thereof. The seal plate carries a shaft bearing for rotatably supporting a drive shaft having an outboard end connected to an impeller disposed within a pump chamber defined cooperatively by the seal plate and a volute housing mounted thereon. A primary seal assembly includes an axially spring-loaded dynamic seal ring carried on the drive shaft for rotation therewith and for running engagement with a stationary bushing carried by the seal plate. A secondary seal assembly is positioned axially between the primary seal assembly and motor bearing, and includes at least one slinger disk for radially outwardly slinging any water leaking past the primary seal assembly through a vent chamber.

Abstract: A spa device including a basin with at least one agitation device and at least one foot massaging device. The agitation device is a pipeless fluid jet. The massaging device may be a three piece massaging foot roller which is placed in a cavity in the bottom surface of the basin. The spa device may include electronic controls for controlling the fluid and agitation devices. The spa device electronic control system may include a fluid level sensor. When the fluid level in the basin reaches a predetermined high level the control system turns off the fluid. When the fluid level in the basin reaches a predetermined low level the control system turns off the jets.

Abstract: The present invention provides an automatic hand washing system for original and retrofit residential and commercial installation and use. The automatic hand washing system dispenses a predetermined amount of soap and water to effectively clean the hands of a user in a short, predetermined amount of time, ensuring that sanitary protocols are followed while conserving natural resources. In this respect, the automatic hand washing system represents an automatic hand washing protocol compliance control system. Advantageously, the automatic hand washing system isolates the soap delivery path from the water delivery path until each is delivered to the hands of the user, preventing self-contamination, allowing the proper viscosity and flow of each to be maintained, eliminating the need for inefficient internal mixing mechanisms, etc.

Abstract: The present invention provides an oscillating faucet structure of a dual-outlet system to improve the shortcomings of a typical faucet of a dual-outlet system. The faucet structure includes a main body, seat post and combined footstock. A hollow groove is assembled within the seat post at top of the main body and used to accommodate the first and second water regulators. The main body has first and oscillating outlet heads, which can freely oscillate for flexible regulation. The combined footstock is assembled on top of the seat post of main body for mounting the second oscillating outlet head, thus enabling easy removal, repair or replacement of defective components with improved applicability.

Abstract: An apparatus for mounting a faucet to a sink that can be quickly and easily incorporated into new and existing faucet assemblies and that will allow for the attachment of water supply tubes to the faucet shanks before the faucet is mounted to the sink.

Abstract: A patient incline device includes a base member, an inflatable incline ramp located on an upper surface of the base member, an incline ramp adapted to support a patient such that the patient's upper torso is elevated with respect to the base member, an inflatable head support pillow and a wedge-shaped inflatable spinal support air chamber located on the incline ramp and angling upward in a direction away from the incline ramp, and aligned with a centerline of the incline ramp, wherein the peak end of the wedge extends to about the region of the patient's lumbar curve so that the buttocks are not raised upon inflation. The wedge-shaped spinal support chamber may also include a pop-up air chamber having internal air vents to the spinal support chamber such that when the spinal support chamber inflates, the pop-up chamber rises as pressure accumulates and lifts a thoracic curve portion of the patient's spine.

Abstract: A folding bed frame includes standardized right and left bed frame assemblies that are connectable by central connecting bars to form an adjustable bedboard frame that fits mattresses of differing widths. The bed frame is easy to transport when disassembled into the separate frame assemblies that are each less than half the width of a conventional frame for a double bed. The smaller and standardized frame assemblies reduce manufacturing cost. Foot brackets are pivotally connected to the bottom of the bedboard frame under each bed frame assembly and support the bedboard frame and mattress. Each central connecting bar has U-shaped slots on its ends that clip over the inner side edges of the right and left bed frame assemblies. Each frame assembly has a hinge at its middle axis at which a lower half folds over onto an upper half to allow the assemblies to fit in a packing box.

The touch sensor may be presented in a slider form and may be adapted to facilitate a user in adjusting a frame position of an adjustable bed. The transmitter may be electrically coupled to a processor and may receive input from the touch sensor, for communication control signals to the adjustable bed in accordance with the input received from the touch sensor.

Abstract: Reclining chairs or beds may be made of pivoting parts and have motorized adjustment drives. The chairs or beds are designed to minimize opportunity for injury to the user caused by incorrect adjustments by limiting the pivoting movement of the parts of the recliners or beds. Injuries can also be minimized by placing the small-volume adjusting device underneath the recliner or the bed, and by essentially ensuring that the distance between the motors remains unchanged during the adjustment of the recliner or the bed, so that the contour of the adjusting device, even after an adjustment, is essentially the same as the contour of the seating surface of the recliner or bed, thereby minimizing the chances of a user getting a hand or foot caught in the adjusting devices.

Abstract: An inflatable cell that is inflatable with a fluid, such as air, comprises a flexible casing that is closed at its ends, the casing defining, between its walls, at least one inflatable chamber; and at least one fluid insertion means for inserting fluid into the chamber and at least one fluid removal means for removing fluid from said chamber, these insertion and removal means being bonded in substantially airtight manner to at least one end of the casing; and at least one link means for linking the cell to another identical cell, which link means are integral with or secured to the casing. A method of manufacturing such a cell and a support device of the mattress type that is manufactured on the basis of assembling together such cells are also disclosed.

Abstract: A bed mattress is provided for employing a plurality of cushion elements to be arranged in different portions of the mattress divided corresponding to the user's body parts and have appropriate elasticity for the corresponding part of the user's body, which comprises a mattress frame with an enclosing wall of elastic material for providing a mounting space therein; a plurality of cushion elements disposed in the mounting space and forming a mattress body together with the mattress frame; a side pad covering the periphery of the mattress body; and upper and lower cover pads with outer edges fastened respectively to the top and bottom edges of the side pad to enclose the upper and lower surfaces of the mattress body.
