Abstract: A replacement pad kit for use in an Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) system helmet comprises a plurality of replacement pads for disposition within an ACH helmet. At least one of the replacement pads comprises a fabric layer for contacting the skin of a wearer, an anti-bacterial hydrophilic foam layer, a shock absorption SRF foam layer, and a hook and loop fastener material for engaging some of the plurality of pad receiving hook and loop type fasteners.

The pathway is attached or incorporated into an eyewear device. The holes direct air or gas to create an air or gas curtain across the surface of the lens of an eyewear device. The device may have a air or gas pump for directing air into and out of the pathway. The air curtain pushes any debris away from the lens towards the ground and preventing the accumulation of debris on the lens thereby preventing the obstruction of a user's visual field.

Abstract: A conformable shielding for protective equipment including multiple shielding elements constructed from rigid, impact resistant material and a flexible material overlaying the elements. The material can include a connecting element joining the shielding elements. The connecting element can enable adjacent shielding elements to flex about a plurality of axes, relative to one another, and to extend outwardly from one another, and to retract toward one another. The connecting element can include an accordion structure positioned between adjacent shielding elements, and can be aligned with a joint of the appendage of the wearer. A method of manufacturing the shielding is provided where individual and separate shielding elements can be positioned in a mold, and an elastomeric material can be overmolded over the elements to join them and produce a unitary shielding structure that optionally can be joined with other portions of protective equipment.

The multi-function garment generally has a size and a width-to-height ratio that allows a wearer to comfortably use the garment as a hood around the wearer's head or a shawl around the wearer's shoulder without significantly stretching the fabric or woven material. Abstract: A buckle strap adjustment assembly for safety helmets is adapted for being installed in a safety helmet with a buckle strap. The buckle strap adjustment assembly includes two positioning elements and a fixing element. One end of each positioning element is fixed in the safety helmet and the fixing element is detachably combined with the other end of each positioning element. The fixing element has a body portion which has first through-holes in each of two sides thereof for the buckle strap passing through. Basing on the above structure, the present invention can effectively avoid that the safety helmet slips up and down.

Abstract: A protective goggle assembly comprises an integrally formed lens, a front rigid frame, a rear resilient frame and a strap having a buckle attached to each of two ends; the rigid frame comprises a middle section having an upper end and a lower end provided with a vertical flange formed with a first hole and a horizontal rim formed with a second hole communicating with the first hole, in which the first and second holes are penetrated by and engaged with bent protrusions formed on the lens; and the rigid frame comprises with a thinner frame portion having notches formed on an outward side, so that grooves formed on the resilient frame can receive the thinner frame portions, while engaging tabs raised inside the grooves of the resilient frame can be engaged in the notches on the thinner frame portions. During assembly, the lens, the rigid frame and the resilient frame can be rapidly engaged, and stably positioned, with one another.

Each chamber encompasses at least one chamber opening that is arranged in the opening of the interior space and selectively accommodates the body part such as a hand. The material of each chamber can be constructed with at least one layer of protective material which can be provided with an insulating material, a functional layer material, a cut-resistant material, a heat-resistant and/or a flame-proof material, for example. The inventive design allows the user of the glove to selectively put his/her hand into one of the chambers that are provided, according to the desired protective effect, while the unused chamber lies in the interior space in a compressed manner.

Abstract: An integrated domestic utility system is used to recycle grey water in a domestic house as a means to divert treated potable water away from non-potable uses, and in particular, toilet flushing. The system comprises a rainwater tank for storing rainwater collected from a roof top and a grey water tank to store grey water collected from a shower or bathtub. The rainwater is used to augment the grey water supply through a self regulating valve. Domestic water can also be used to replenish the grey water tank. A demand amount of grey water is pumped from the storage tank to at least one toilet tank. The system is controlled by a controller using pressure sensors and temperature sensors. The invention may include a solar heating circuit coupled to a domestic water heater. In one example of the invention, the system stores grey water in a bathtub and supplies it to toilet tank.

The decontamination unit may be modular and so include more than one enclosure (1, 2) linked together. Such a unit is usefully employed at an emergency scene where individuals have become contaminated with a harmful substance.

Abstract: A nestably stackable spring assembly is incorporated into a bedding foundation. The foundation includes a pocketed spring assembly which functions as a cushioning layer, thereby providing additional comfort. The spring assembly includes a number of corrugated support wires having alternating flattened peaks and valleys. The pocketed spring assembly fits inside a border which provides edge firmness to the foundation.

Abstract: A comfortable, smooth, and sanitary cover is provided for a “U” shaped face cradle of a massage table or chair, the face cradle having a central portion and two arms extending from the central portion. The cover is formed of a fabric panel having a medial region and pair of lobes extending from the medial region and defining a notch between them. Each of the lobes is provided with a pocket and the medial region is provided with weights attached on an outer periphery. Each of the pockets is configured for partially receiving an arm of the face cradle. The cover may be draped onto the face cradle, with the medial region adjacent the central portion, with pockets receiving the arms, and with weights being suspended from the outer periphery, so as to overhang the central portion of the face cradle and to smoothly spread the cover over the surface of the face cradle. The cover contacts the face of an individual resting on the face cradle, during a massage.

Abstract: An examination bed for use in a magnetic resonance imaging system, has a bed board, a bottom antenna for an RF coil and a main body antenna for an RF coil. The bottom antenna is integrated in the inside or surface of the bed board, and forms a loop with the main body antenna, to form an RF coil. The thickness of the base plate is thereby reduced by integrating the bottom antenna into the bed board, thus increasing the available space to make the most of the limited space of the magnetic field for examination so that the examination bed can be used for those patients or other tested objects that would otherwise be oversized for the bed.

Abstract: When carrying babies or small children in motor vehicles or on bicycles, many people install and use a baby or child's seat (3) for the increased safety of the baby or child, and the peace of mind this brings. Typically, such baby seats (3) are provided with a three point, “Y” shaped, harness (2) for securing the baby in position. Whilst such a harness (2) means that the baby or small child is secure in the seat (3), the effects of acceleration and deceleration as well as movement left and right of the vehicle are not addressed. In order to improve the ride comfort to the baby, in addition to supporting the neck and head, a neck roll (1) is proposed which can be fitted to any three point harness (2) or baby seat (3). This neck roll (1) both stops the baby's head from rocking left and right during travel, as well as giving support during acceleration of the vehicle.

Abstract: This lounging device is an upper body elevator apparatus having an optional neck rest that should be used for recreational and/or therapeutic purposes. With an elevation of almost 90° the elongated tubular pillows are between a top and bottom sheet and are connected by gussets which gives the device its wedge effect. On either side of the center surface are air diffusers which allow air to diffuse from the pillows (pneumatic cushions) of the center surface to comfort and support the back. The elevating wedge and optional tubular neck support operate together to elevate the head at an angle comfortable for sitting in an upright position for many recreational and therapeutic purposes. An elongated tubular anchor/butt rest is shown connected to bottom sheet to include a lower body support surface. This is a cost effective device that every household can afford. Other embodiments are described and shown.

A recess is defined within the base cushion which is adapted to house the inserts. Each of the inserts can be selectively removed from the recess to provide for obliquity adjustment of the cushion assembly. In addition, the inserts may be selectively located on one side of the base cushion or the other to further adjust the inclined orientation of the base cushion. According to another embodiment, a seat cushion assembly is provided that includes a base cushion and a pair of inserts. A recess is defined within the base cushion which is adapted to house the inserts that includes a projection that has a plurality of surfaces that abut a surface of each of the inserts when the inserts are housed within the recess.

Abstract: A therapeutic bolster for applying a constant pressure or a rolling massage to a body portion which simulates the touch of a human thumb or palm. The bolster includes a rigid, non-flexible core having a curved outer surface, and a foam cover substantially surrounding the core. The covering is bonded to the core such that an inward surface of the covering remains in a continuous contact with curved outer surface of the core. A method of making the bolster is also disclosed.

Abstract: Bedding products may utilize unique microporous films imparting bidirectional, micro particle and fluid penetration barrier properties, which may or may not contain active ingredient, while maintaining exceptional air permeability. A thin, microporous film with a unique sponge like cellular structure may prevent the migration of dust mites, dust mite feces, other micro particle allergens, pathogens and biological organisms from the interstices of the product to the sleep surface of the product, adversely affecting user health and comfort. Active ingredients such as anti microbial agents, metal oxides, and other materials may be used within the high capacity microporous structure of the film, and may provide customizable functionalities while maintaining barrier performance and superior air permeability. The micro structured film can be applied as a coating or a laminate to mattress or pillow ticking, a foam mattress construction, a comforter, duvet, mattress pad and/or other components of bedding products.

Abstract: A foam core for a pressure reduction healthcare mattress is disclosed. It includes a top layer made of memory retention foam, a middle layer made of foam and having a convex shape that is higher along a longitudinal center line than along the two sides, and a lower support layer made of foam. The top layer is made of a torso piece and a softer foot/lower leg piece. The middle layer includes a heel pillow that fits into a heel pillow cavity in the foam, the heel pillow including layers of fiber material over a crown shaped foam insert. The lower support layer has a sloped portion in a lower leg section that slopes down toward a heel end of the foam core. Also disclosed is a pressure reduction healthcare mattress that includes the foam core and a cover.

The combination hammer and nail driver provides the benefits of a conventional hammer in addition to the features of a slide hammer (also known as a “pea shooter”). The device resembles a conventional hammer, but be further equipped with an internal bore for housing a slide rod. The hammer has an end cap that retains the slide rod within the internal bore of the hammer. The end of the rod has external threads for engaging the internal threads of a conventional plumb bob. The tip end of the slide rod is magnetized so that a nail will stick to it. Finally, the assembly of the present invention includes a slingshot attachment that can be used to threadedly engage the slide rod to provide another option for driving a nail.

It includes the following steps: a) Manufacturing of water-soluble vegetable colorant extracts from residues of extraction and processing of wood of colorful heartwood of forest species. The extraction is done through aqueous lixiviation, boiling or steam entrainment by circulation of shower or steam. b) Homogenization and condensation of the obtained extracts to increase its atomization.

Where the fabric is exhaust dyed or pad dyed, the fabric may be pre-treated by a pre-cationinzation process.

Abstract: Disclosed is a self cleaning rotary brush with means for accumulating collected hair for disposal. The invention includes a primary cleaning cylinder with a series of tines that are adapted to clean the fur of the animal. The invention further includes a secondary cleaning cylinder with associated tines that are designed to intermesh with the tines of the primary cylinder. A collection tray is located to the rear of the secondary cleaning cylinder. As fur is collected by the primary cylinder, it is removed by the tines of the secondary cylinder. Thereafter, as the secondary tines come into contact with the edge of the collection tray, the fur is deposited within the collection tray for subsequent disposal.

The liquid suction device includes: a suction nozzle having a tip opening at a tip thereof and being connected to piping at a rear end thereof, the suction nozzle suctioning the liquid through the tip opening; a pump connected to the piping, the pump supplying a suction pressure to the suction nozzle; and a driving unit for moving the suction nozzle relative to the well. In liquid suction device, the suction nozzle is moved by the driving unit until the tip opening contacts a bottom surface of the well while the suction nozzle applies a suction force produced by the suction pressure, thereby enabling suction of the liquid from the well and/or the microchannel.

Abstract: A water delivery and vacuum retrieval system includes a rotatable boom for mounting on and rotation over a pressure cleaning apparatus. The boom has a rigid conduit extending from a free end to a freely-rotating housing. The boom also has a flexible conduit loosely fitted in the rigid conduit with the flexible conduit extending from the free end of the rigid conduit to a freely-rotating fluid coupling in the housing. The housing and fluid coupling are configured for independent rotation. In use, air space in the housing is placed in fluid communication with a vacuum portion of the pressure cleaning apparatus while the fluid coupling is placed in fluid communication with a water dispensing portion of the pressure cleaning apparatus.
