Abstract: Aiding to prevent Flat Head Syndrome, a concave pillow is sewn to the collar of a garment to be worn by an infant or small child, with the pillow having a small circle sewn near its center, slightly closer to one of the sides in creating a support area for the infant's neck and allowing the back of its head to rest on the concave center of the pillow. As the pillow is sewn to the collar of the garment, it will always remain towards the back of the infant, even if the infant should roll over. Such arrangement will prevent the pillow from covering or obstructing the infant's airway—in additionally helping to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or the risk of suffocation.

Abstract: A combination hooded changing garment and carry bag, providing ample room for a person to change attire in public places without loss of modesty. The garment, preferably made from recycled or recyclable fabric, can be washable or disposable, having a full length center-front opening with separable closure fasteners and wrist area separable fasteners to give sleeves effect, if desired after changing to wear. The garment has a wide, scoop-necked area for ease of overhead access when removing or putting on items underneath. The mesh netting on the hood provides ventilation, and allows the wearer to see out through the mesh, with reduced ability from the outside to see the person wearing the garment. The mesh netting hooded head cover attached to the garment converts to a self-storage bag for the garment and the wet, soiled, or other items.

Abstract: A raincoat includes a main body made of transparent plastic and consisting of two hiding members. The two hiding members are connected with each other, respectively provided with a flexible strip around their outer circumference and plural uniting members attached to a front side and a rear side. So the front side and the rear side of the two hiding members can be united with each other in wear and disunited from each other in folding. Further, plural stabilizing members are provided on an inner surface of the two hiding members for attaching around arms of a user and parts of a motorbike. This raincoat is easy to wear on a person only or a person and a motorbike together at the same time.

Abstract: A jacket has several features useful for participating in a sport while wearing the jacket. The jacket may have a shell with a pocket in an upper region of the shell and a semi-rigid collar located in the pocket, wherein the semi-rigid collar is movable between a storage position wherein the semi-rigid collar is in the pocket and a use position wherein the semi-rigid collar is partially removed from the pocket. The jacket may also have a shoulder region with discrete areas of gripping material located on the shoulder region. The jacket may also have an inner core wrap having a perimeter, wherein a portion of the perimeter is removably attached to the outer shell that hugs the torso of a wearer.

Abstract: An undershirt in one embodiment includes a tubular torso portion comprising a resiliently deformable material, wherein an upper region of the torso portion has two openings for insertion therethrough of an intended wearer's arms, wherein the upper region is closed at a top of the undershirt except for a hole for insertion therethrough of an intended wearer's neck, wherein a lower region of the torso portion is at least partially tapered and is long enough to about cover an intended wearer's buttocks.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a thermal liner sub-assembly comprising crimped, heat resistant fibers held in a state of compression by a binder adhered to at least one thermally stable flame resistant stabilizing fabric wherein, when the thermal liner is exposed to heat or flame, the liner increases its thickness by at least one hundred percent and the shrinkage of the liner is no more than ten percent. The invention also relates to use of such liners in protective fabrics, garments, and articles.

Abstract: A waste liquid handling system especially suited for installation in the cab of a truck cabin. The system includes a removable urine collection cup, a waste holding tank, and a wash water reservoir having a battery powered pump. These three principal components may be contained within a single cabinet and may be individually removable therefrom. The cabinet may have a collection cup compartment from which the collection cup may emptied by engaging a drain valve. The collection cup may be washed by installing a removable cap which may be connected to the wash water reservoir. The system may include a vent fan and a cabinet light. A bed may be located in the cabinet above the holding tank and the wash water reservoir. Hoses used in the system may utilize quick connect fittings.

Abstract: A device for spraying an inner surface of a toilet bowl with a cleaning and/or deodorizing chemical is disclosed. The device includes a container for the chemical, a spray nozzle through which the chemical can be sprayed laterally around a perimeter of the nozzle, a conduit in fluid communication with the container and the spray nozzle, fluid delivery means for delivering chemical from the container through the conduit and to the spray nozzle, and means for attaching the spray nozzle near a rim of the toilet bowl. The spray nozzle of the automatic or manual toilet bowl cleaning device can operate such that the chemical is applied to the entire circumference of the inner surface of the toilet bowl whereby the entire toilet bowl is cleaned around the inner circumference of the toilet bowl.

Abstract: A toilet seat includes a body with a plurality of massage mechanisms installed in the body, and means for sealing the massage mechanisms. The massage mechanism includes a housing which comprises an upper part and a lower cover part, a motor held between the upper part and the lower cover part, an eccentric weight fixed to the output shaft of the motor, and a resilient suspension device for suspending the assembly of the motor, the eccentric weight and the housing inside the body. The suspension device includes a housing fixing end fixed to the housing, a body fixing end fixed to the body, and a connecting part connected between the two fixing ends. In use, the motor rotates the eccentric weight to thereby produce vibrations which are transmitted to a user sitting on the seat.

Abstract: An off-set pipe coupling for use in a support system for a wall mounted toilet or water closet includes a curved pipe having a first end and a second end; a first plate coupled to the first end of the curved pipe; and a second plate coupled to the second end of the curved pipe. The first plate has a central hole in fluid communication with the curved pipe and a plurality of screw holes positioned around a peripheral area thereof. The second plate has a central hole in fluid communication with the curved pipe and a plurality of screw holes positioned around a peripheral area thereof. The first plate is coupled to a faceplate for supporting a wall mounted toilet above a floor surface, the second plate is coupled to a plumbing system and the curved pipe provides fluid communication between a waste discharge conduit and the plumbing system.

Abstract: Two control-levers of toilet water flush system provides two control-levers to control the amount of flush water. User presses downward one control-lever to flush small amount of water enough to flush liquid human waste and then releases it to shut off water. User presses downward another control-lever to flush a large amount of water to flush solid human waste. One person urinates a couple of time a day and only defecate once a day. If we use only small amount of water to flush urine then we can save a large amount of water to relieve the shortage of water supply in big cities in the United States.

Abstract: Flush valve assemblies are provided that include a valve body which may have a radiused inlet portion, an upper inlet end having an inlet opening, a lower outlet end having an outlet opening, and a wall extending between the upper inlet end and the lower outlet end and having an interior surface defining a flow path that extends generally longitudinally through the valve body from the inlet opening to the outlet opening and that has a generally circular transverse cross-section. A height measured longitudinally through the valve body is greater than a largest diameter of the transverse cross-section of the flow path so as to enable the valve bodies herein to have an elevated wall and head from a toilet tank floor. The assemblies may include a flapper valve cover detachably connected to the flush valve assembly and having a transverse cross-sectional diameter sufficiently large to cover the inlet opening of the valve body, a pivot mechanism and a flapper bulb.

Abstract: A flexible safety barrier edge material contacts a wall of a poolside raised obstacle with a hollow loop crossection. The loop portion is slit at multiple intervals to permit the individual sections to conform to relatively sharp inside or outside corner contours of the obstruction. A continuous stainless steel cable is guided around the respective portion of the pool cover periphery in the vicinity of the obstruction, by passing it through fabric webbing loops sewn at the edge of the pool cover. This cable is attached to a top surface of the pool wall deck using pool anchors with split loops having a cable receiving slot. The cable is looped thru said turnbuckle and secured via cable clamps and then tightened by the use of turnbuckles at either end of the cable.

Abstract: A plumbing apparatus and method for pools, spas and the like is provided. In one embodiment, a jet assembly may be provided, with the assembly comprising a jet body and one or more inside/outside fittings extending from the body. The one or more fittings are substantially hollow. At least one water supply hose is provided, with the hose sized to fit snugly inside the one or more hollow fittings or sized to fit snugly around the exterior of the one or more fittings. A plumbing system may also be provided, with the system comprising a manifold with a main body and a plurality of inside/outside fittings extending from the body. A plurality of spa accessories is also provided, with each of the accessories comprising at least one inside/outside fitting. Further, a plurality of supply hoses is provided, with one end of each hose sized to fit snugly inside or around the exterior of the manifold fittings, and the other end of each hose sized to fit snugly inside or around the exterior of the spa accessory fittings.

Abstract: A sanitary ware with an annular mount has a body, an inlet pipe and an annular mount. The inlet pipe is mounted inside the body. The annular mount is mounted through the body for hanging the sanitary ware. A structure of the annular mount is simple to prevent leaking and could be used in any sanitary ware. Therefore, the sanitary ware with annular mount can be hung anywhere by the annular mount.

Abstract: Food preparation sinks are disclosed which have an integral raised work area that is rinsed by an automatic system. Food waste or the like present in that area can be washed into a sump above a drain, and the weight of the waste and water in the sump is enough to automatically drive them through a baffle to a food waste disposer, without requiring the baffle to be manually opened. An automatic controller system coordinates water flow and food waste disposer operation, and the water supply can be linked to the sink below the sink rim to save counter top space. In some forms multiple rinsing nozzles are provided which pulse in altering fashion.

Abstract: An overflow drain cover assembly includes a weir that enables a fluid level in a container to rise above the bottom of an overflow drain in the container. The weir covers all or a portion of the overflow drain and has a cavity portion between the weir and the overflow drain. The cavity portion is open at the top of the weir so when the fluid level in the container rises above the top of the weir, fluid can flow over the top of the weir and enter cavity portion and thence into the overflow drain.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to occlude openings and spaces of side rails are provided. One embodiment includes a pad body panel having attachment openings each defining a pivot axis. The embodiment includes follower slots in the pad body panel each to receive a bracket pivot of a pivot arm, each follower slot having a configuration centered on the attachment opening of the pivot axis.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention comprises a multi-functional patient transfer device for transferring mobility-impaired patients. In one embodiment, the multi-functional patient transfer device includes a lift cart and one or more lift components. The lift components may attach to the lift cart and/or other lift components. The lift components may include frontal bars, a tabletop, a central arm, lifting forks, a hoist, a knee blocker, footrests, a transfer chair, detachable handles, and/or safety cushions. Embodiments of the present invention may include one or more patient interfaces. The patient interfaces may attach to the lift cart and/or one or more lifting components. The patient interfaces may include slings, chairs, straps, harnesses, and/or transfer sheets. In one embodiment, the patient interfaces may include foldable panels. In one embodiment, the patient interfaces may include a buttock/link support.

A flexible slidable fastener is provided along the length of the comforter substantially in the middle of the width dimension of the comforter. A second layer portion may overlay part of the primary surface of the bedspread creating a pocket or space there between. The second layer portion may be either unitary with the primary surface of the bedspread or the second layer portion may be removably attached thereto. Overlapping side seams of both the second layer portion and primary surface may be secured together to further define the pocket or space. The leading edge of the second layer portion may be releasably fastened to the primary surface and the primary surface may further comprise fitted bottom corners at its foot region to facilitate placement of the present inventive bedspread.

Abstract: A combination of a treatment device and an anterior support device is disclosed. The combination includes a treatment device having an edge and an attachment member movably secured thereto and an anterior support device having an elongated member which interacts with the attachment member. The anterior support device has first and second pivotable connectors, one being secured to the elongated member and the other to a padded rest. The anterior support device also includes first and second movable rods secured to the first and second pivotable connectors. A second end of the first movable rod is rotatably connected to a second end of the second movable rod and an actuating mechanism is connected to both of the second ends of the rods. The actuating mechanism enables the first and second rods to be locked in a set position to maintain the padded rest in a desired orientation relative to the treatment device.

Abstract: The present invention provides a safety apparatus as an aid for the prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome: A mattress, fitting the dimensions of a standard-sized crib, is composed of three different layers, allowing a free flow of air through it to the infant lying in any position. The lowest layer has transverse channels allowing cross-wise air movement. The middle and top layers have vertical perforations through them allowing a vertical flow of air. Being composed of 3 layers, differing in density and firmness, the mattress is both firm and pleasant to the touch. Therefore, in addition to its primary function, the mattress provides a method to counter a potential delay in the motor development of the infant, which can result from prolonged lying in the supine position. A mesh sheet is stretched taut over the mattress and fastened securely to the vertical bars of the crib.

The nozzle cleaner includes a guide mechanism to center the welding nozzle with respect to the cutter. The guide mechanism includes an insertion-side roller unit and a cutter-side roller unit, each having a pair of guide rollers having a smaller diameter portion and a pair of enlarged diameter portions. The enlarged diameter portions guide the welding nozzle to the vicinity of the central position of the corresponding smaller diameter portion. The facing guide rollers of the cutter-side roller unit and of the insertion-side roller unit are arranged in arrangement directions orthogonal to each other, respectively.

Abstract: A mop having a handle with a wringing frame disposed at a distal end, which defines a cam slot. An actuator lever is pivotally attached to the handle intermediate the distal and proximal ends and is coupled to an actuator linkage that extends into the internal hollow of the handle and connects to a pad plate, which supports a cleaning pad, such as a sponge thereon at the distal end of the mop. The pad plate has hinges that permit it to bend upon itself. When the actuator lever is moved to wring the cleaning pad, the actuator linkage pulls the pad plate at least partially through the cam slot, causing it to bend at the hinges and wring the cleaning pad supported thereon.

Abstract: An extension pole including an outer tube connected to a water source and an inner tube positioned in a telescoping relationship to the outer tube. The inner tube includes a series of spaced apart openings that are engaged by a biased locking member positioned on the end of the outer tube. The locking member may be manually released by activation of a release button connected to locking member, thereby allowing inner and outer tubes to be moved with respect to each other. The adapter includes a hollow substantially tubular connector portion with a swivel joint at a mop frame connection end, an elongated hollow body portion with a locking tab at each end and a central opening to receive the swivel joint of the tubular connector portion and the locking tabs at the opposed ends of the body portion biased outwardly for selective engagement to the mop frame and for rotation of the mop frame about the axis of the body portion. In addition, a steam mop frame and adapter for connecting the mop frame to a fluid source is provided.

The gripping mechanism and the maneuvering wand cooperate to substantially limited pivotal movement of a longitudinal axis of the fitment post, relative a longitudinal axis of the gripping mechanism to not more than about 0 degrees to about 25 degrees when the fitment post is subjected to forces radial to the longitudinal axis of the fitment post.

Abstract: A painting roller includes a fixed and a movable core, on which a roller cover is mounted. A compression spring is put on a rear end of the fixed core. The movable core is slidably received in the fixed core and may be extended from a front end of the fixed core by different length and then held to that position. A pull cord is extended through the fixed core to connect an end to a switch provided on a handle of the painting roller. When the switch is pushed, the pull cord is pulled to drive a rotor toward the compression spring to compress the latter, so the rotor is separated from a clamper to allow convenient mounting and dismounting of the roller cover to and from the painting roller.

Abstract: A cleaning arrangement for removing accumulated leaves and other debris from an overhead gutter of a building, said arrangement including: a cleaning tool having a blade of comparative cross sectional profile to the gutter to be cleaned, an elongated rod having one end adapted to be held by a user and a remote end substantially perpendicular to the said blade when blade is connected to said rod, said blade including an aperture at an upper corner of said blade for an end of the rod to be releasable fastenable therein, such that the off-centering of the rod to the corner of the blade allows the cleaning tool to be scraped along the length of a segment of guttering without the blade making contact with internal brackets or bracing supporting the gutter.
