Abstract: An identification apparatus and methods of use are presented. Embodiments include a loop of flexible material, having and exterior surface. Indicia, identifying an organization, is displayed on at least a portion of the exterior surface. A container is provided to store the loop of flexible material. Some embodiments couple the container with a belt or other article of clothing or clothing accessory. The loop of flexible material may be coupled with the container. The container may serve as an anchoring point for one or more methods of displaying the loop of flexible material. Some methods of use position the loop of flexible material over portions of a user's body. Some methods of use permit one hand operation of the apparatus.

Abstract: Methods and systems for transmitting a torch angle and/or a torch-to-workpiece distance error to a welding operator when these parameters are outside of a preset optimal range via real time visual and/or audio cues are provided. One embodiment of the present disclosure relates to weld characteristic communication via intuitive arrays of visual indicators located on the periphery of a lens, which indicate to the welding operator the direction and severity of the torch angle error. In one embodiment, audio cues, such as pulsed or continuous tones may be used to communicate torch-to-workpiece distance to the welding operator. In certain embodiments, vertical visual indicator arrays may be used to indicate additional weld or auxiliary information, such as battery charge state, torch speed and so forth, to the welding operator. All the components of the communication system may be located in or on the welding helmet or the components may be split between the helmet and a belt pack.

Abstract: An auto darkening eye protection device comprising a shutter assembly and a control circuit. The shutter assembly is adjustable between a light state and a dark state. The control circuit comprises a sensing circuit, a weld detect circuit, a positive voltage generator, and a negative voltage generator. The sensing circuit senses incident light and provides an output indicative of the incident light. The weld detect circuit receives the output of the sensing circuit, and enables a dark state drive signal to be delivered to the shutter assembly. The positive and negative voltage generators output the dark state drive signal to the shutter assembly to switch the shutter assembly from the light state to the dark state upon enablement by the weld detect circuit. The dark state drive signal includes a high voltage pulse followed by a stable AC waveform. The high voltage pulse is formed by a positive voltage signal and a negative voltage signal.

Abstract: This invention concerns a forearm protecting and shock absorbing device (120) covering the forearms from the base of the elbow to the wrist providing protection against attacks with truncheons, even with bladed weapons in various situations. The device may cover only the cubital part (30) of the forearm which is the vulnerable part. The whole device is supported on a covering portion (132) with a surface with a wave-absorbing cushion (134) consisting of Kevlar fibers or similar fibers capable of dispersing a shock wave over a larger surface. The covering portion is provided with sharp-edged points (128) inserted within it.

Abstract: A protective guard for reducing injury to a shin of a person includes a conformable substrate and a plurality of core members disposed adjacent to a surface of the conformable substrate. The plurality of core members are arranged such that a first of the core members is rotationally movable about at least one axis relative to a second of the core members. A flexible fabric membrane comprised of natural or synthetic fibers is positioned adjacent to at least one of the conformable substrate and the plurality of core members.

Abstract: A multi-layer adhesive disposable bib is provided. The layers of material of the bib are ultrasonically bonded together. The first layer is located at the exterior surface of the bib and is made of a lightweight, non-woven material which is tear resistant and lint resistant. The second layer is composed of highly absorbent tissue paper to absorb liquids. The third layer is a waterproof polypropylene film that is impermeable to liquids and also provides additional strength to the bib. The fourth layer is located at the other exterior surface of the bib and is made of an adhesive. The bib may be adjustably secured about one's shoulders and not around their neck by means of full adhesive backing. The adhesive closure accommodates different sizes and desired closeness of fit yet releases easily to eliminate a choking hazard. These features plus the easy on and easy off add up to a low-cost, high performance product.

Abstract: A method of shielding the skin, especially the armpits and the midriff, of a person from a brassiere when the person tries on the brassiere. The method includes the step of wearing, by the person, a disposable and sanitary upper garment, which includes an upper torso enclosure and a pair of short sleeves. The upper torso garment covers the upper torso of the person and has a neck opening to allow passage of the head of the person therethrough. The pair of short sleeves extend from the upper torso garment and allow passage of the arms of the person therethrough.

Abstract: A costume assembly has one or more structures such as headgear structures, body structures or single composite structures. Each of these structures has at least one foldable frame member that has a folded and an unfolded orientation. Each frame member can include fabric material covering the frame member to define a panel. A fabric shell can be attached to the at least one frame member, with the fabric shell defining an interior for accomodating the body and head of the user.

Abstract: A dual-purpose neck gaiter includes a hollow cylindrical gaiter body that has two insertion holes near one of two openings thereof, and an elastic cord member inserted through the insertion holes of the hollow cylindrical gaiter body for tying up one end of the hollow cylindrical gaiter body for enabling the dual-purpose neck gaiter to be used as a beanie. A first connector and a second connector may be respectively provided at the two ends of the elastic cord member for detachably joining the ends of the elastic cord member together.

Abstract: A sock may include a first low-elasticity area disposed on a dorsal portion of the foot, the first low-elasticity area being band-shaped and having a lower elasticity than other areas of the sock. The first low-elasticity area may include a curved ankle portion and an end portion, the end portion being disposed below the curved ankle portion and extending to the base of the toes. The end portion may be positioned within a range from the base of the third toe to the base of the small toe. A center line in the course direction with respect to the width of the first low-elasticity area may gradually shift toward the side of the small toe in the course direction. Preferably, the first low-elasticity area applies a force that raises the side of the fifth toe toward the ankle curve portion thereby providing a resistive force against the ankle twisting inwards.

Abstract: Aquatic goggles may incorporate a pair of eyepieces, a nosebridge extending between the eyepieces, and a headstrap. In some configurations, at least one of the eyepieces includes a lens, a gasket extending around the lens, and an extension member extending outward from the lens. The extension member defines a strap connection point, with a distance along the extension member and between the lens and the strap connection point being at least three centimeters, and the headstrap is secured to the strap connection point. In other configurations, a fairing extends outward from the lens, and a majority of the fairing may be located within an outer area of the lens. In further configurations, the gasket defines an indentation with varying depth.

Abstract: Swimming goggles are provided which have a frame unit, buckle units and a head strap assembled on the buckle units. The frame unit includes a left frame and a right frame respectively around a user's eyes, a connecting member detachably connecting the left frame and the right frame, and lenses assembled on the left frame and the right frame. First connecting portions are provided on sides of the left frame and the right frame. Each buckle unit includes at least a base, and a second connecting portion for engaging to or disengaging from the first connecting portion. The base defines directing holes therein for guiding the head strap. The connecting member, the first connecting portions and the second connecting portions are able to be assembled and disassembled such that the connecting member and the buckle units are assembled to or disassembled from the left frame and the right frame.

Abstract: A hinge assembly for a toilet seat, the hinge assembly comprising a hinge post for pivotally supporting the toilet seat on a toilet bowl, a bolt connectable to the hinge post for securing the hinge post to the toilet bowl, the bolt being configured to extend through an opening in the toilet bowl, and a nut threadable onto the bolt to secure the hinge post to the toilet bowl, the nut having a first segment threadable onto the bolt, a second segment and a shear segment connecting the first and second segments, the shear segment having a lower torque resistance than the first and second segments such that the shear segment breaks when torque applied to the second segment reaches a predetermined amount.

Abstract: Sanitary Cover is a spring-loaded, pressure activated device that can be attached to a toilet seat and has flaps that move out of and into place when pressure is placed on the toilet seat and removed from the toilet seat, respectively. To use Sanitary Cover, a user could mount the device to a conventional toilet seat using the brackets. When a person sits on the toilet seat after proper installation, the weight of the user will cause the springs to flip the flaps open into the toilet bowl. When a user stands up, the pressure will be removed, permitting the springs to flip the flaps back to a closed position.

Abstract: The present invention provides a two-level flush assembly that can be retrofitted to virtually any toilet with a tank that provides two different water volumes for toilet flushing with a full tank flush for heavy waste and a partial tank flush for light or liquid waste. The flush assembly may use the existing handle and provide tactile feedback for each of the two flush volumes. The two levels of flushing action may be achieved with two independent detent-latch mechanisms, one on each side of the tower, operating on the single toilet flapper. Two independent floats may be utilized, each connected to a release mechanism on either side of the flapper and the water level that supports the float may determine when the flapper is released to close on its seat. The two floats may be set at two different water depths providing a flushing action releasing different volumes of water.

Abstract: A control panel used in combination with a power unit to control the operation of a sauna. The control panel is equipped with a microprocessor that has software and proper circuitry to allow a user to use buttons to input information into the control panel regarding the time, temperature, and day on which heating within the sauna is to occur. Additionally, the power unit has a microprocessor with a pulse width modulation output that causes individual heating elements to continuously produce varying intensities of heat in order to maintain a consistent desired temperature, and/or intermittently radiate heat creating a wave of heat to be emitted by each individual heating element.

Abstract: A diverter assembly includes a main body, a valve device and a movable body. The main body is hollow and has a water inlet tube and two water outlet tubes. One of the two water outlet tubes is communicated through a hose to a shower nozzle. The valve device is disposed on the main body and has a valve capable of linearly moving back and forth for steplessly communicating the water inlet tube with either or both of the water outlet tubes. The movable body is pivotally disposed at one end of the main body, and has a hole for the shower nozzle to be inserted in. Thereby, the diverter assembly can steplessly adjust the valve position for controlling the water to flow out from either or both of the water outlet tubes.

Abstract: Disclosed is a removable bed covering assembly including both a fitted covering and a top covering which can be converted into a sleeping bag. The top covering is secured to the bed using a fitted covering attached to the mattress of the bed. The top covering and fitted covering can be attached to each via a zipper assembly. Once the top covering is removed it can be assembled into a sleeping bag via a second zipper assembly.

Abstract: A multilayered personal exercise mat having at least one gel-containing layer. The gel-containing layer may include microspheres. The mat may include a flap with reinforced apertures that allow the mat to be suspended from hooks for storage. The holding member can be four angle members having inside corners which fit under and along the sides of the mattress corners. The frame is made of flexible members which engage the holding members and is covered with a canopy which defines the enclosure above the mattress and is coextensive with an upper surface of the mattress. The canopy is connected to the frame members with removable ties. Depending upon the environment desired, a heater and/or an air conditioning unit is coupled to supply warm and/or cool air to the enclosure above the mattress. The canopy has the means for providing ingress and egress to the enclosure above the mattress, and the enclosure can contain low voltage wiring for supplying power for security, audio/video devices, etc.

The dye remover composition is used for destaining fiber stained with an oxidation dye including a dye intermediate having an amino group, includes a reducing agent, and performs the destaining of fiber by the reduction action of the reducing agent. The dye remover composition further includes a reducing sugar. Examples of reducing sugar include xylose and dihydroxyacetone.

Additionally or alternatively, the chamber may be shaped to approximate the peripheral flow path of the objects within the chamber.

The brush rotating section has a power transmitting section which transmits the power of the motor to the rotary brush as a rotation of the rotary brush, and the brush back-and-forth movement section has a power transmitting section which converts the power of the motor into a back-and-forth movement of the rotary brush to transmit the back-and-forth movement to the rotary brush.

A separate lock tooth for each locking function is adapted to engage certain differently configured lock recesses. Specifically, a total lock tooth, which is part of a mechanism that also applies a brake to the wheel, is configured to engage any of the total lock recesses and any of the directional lock recesses to lock the wheel against pivotal movement about the swivel axis in any of a plurality of total lock positions. Abstract: An apparatus and method for manufacturing a multi-layer web product. A long fiber stream is directed around a rotating carding cylinder. Two combing cylinders are disposed adjacent the carding cylinder to comb a first web of long fiber and a second web of long fiber, respectively, from the carding cylinder. A first conveyor receives the first web from the first combing cylinder and transports the first web toward a layering point. Similarly, a second conveyor receives the second web from the second combing cylinder and transports the second web toward the layering point.
