  • Patent number: 7832148
Abstract: A gate (106) includes a panel (112) movable relative to a fixed member (110) between an open position and a closed position. A linkage (140) is pivotally mounted to the panel (112) about a latch pivot axis. A catch (130) is pivotally mounted to the linkage (140) about a catch pivot axis spaced from and parallel to the latch pivot axis. The catch (130) is movable between a latched position engaged with the fixed member (110) and an unlatched position disengaged from the fixed member (110). The catch (130) defines a groove for slideable receipt on the fixed member (110). When the catch (130) is in the latched position and the panel (112) is in the closed position, the catch (130) abuts against opposite sides of the fixed member (110) along an extended length such that forces are applied on each side at spaced locations to resist twisting forces.

  • Patent number: 7832184
Abstract: A container has a product chamber for containing a product. The product chamber has a product opening that opens into the exterior. A closure member is releasably mounted on the product opening. The container further includes an additive chamber for containing an additive, and a pressure valve that connects the additive chamber and the product chamber with each other. The pressure valve has a closed position when the pressure inside the product chamber is higher than the pressure inside the additive chamber, and an open position for discharging additive from the additive chamber into the product chamber when the pressure inside the product chamber is lower than the pressure inside the additive chamber. The pressure inside the product chamber is higher than the ambient pressure and the pressure inside the additive chamber is both lower than the pressure inside the product chamber and higher than the ambient pressure.

  • Patent number: 7832189
Abstract: An improved modular disc cutterhead connecting drive shaft configuration having a means for laterally centering the shaft between adjacent cutterhead modules thereby equalizing engagement on each end of the shaft with the module connectors. Further durability improvement is realized by a structure to radially center the shaft in the shaft receptacles of each module to maintain uniform loading on the shaft/receptacle interface which improves the durability of the connecting drive shaft end connections. Additional connecting shaft durability is provided by a means to lubricate the drive shaft connector connecting interfaces using lubricant reservoirs disposed within the modules.

  • Patent number: 7832190
Abstract: According to the method for characterizing fancy yarn, at least one characteristic of the fancy yarn is scanned along the longitudinal direction of the fancy yarn. Values of the scanning are evaluated and the results of the evaluation are outputted. The results of the evaluation are the fancy yarn parameters such as base yarn mass, base yarn diameter, slub distance, mass increase of a slub, slub diameter increase, slub diameter, slub length and/or slub total mass. On evaluation, a measurement curve is produced from the values of the scanning, and an area (A(x)) between the measurement curve and a previously determined base yarn mass is computed. A permanent increase in the course of the area (A(x)) is used as a criterion for the presence of a slub. Slubs may be differentiated from yarn imperfections in a reliable manner by way of the area (A(x)).

  • Patent number: 7832191
Abstract: A gasification unit provided with a gasification furnace 23 to produce fuel gas production is provided. A combined power generation unit 25 which generates power by rotating a gas turbine and a steam turbine using fuel gas produced in the gasification unit is provided. The combined power generation unit 25 is made operable while fuel change over between fuel gas and an auxiliary fuel as the fuel. A control system is provided in which the degree of opening of a control valve 37 for a flare stack 28 provided in a fuel gas feed line is controlled depending upon the pressure of the fuel gas from the gasification unit when fuel change over from the fuel gas to the auxiliary fuel so as to allow the fuel gas supplied to the combined power generation unit 25 to gradually flare from a flare stack 28 until a flared status that total amount of the fuel gas is reached.

  • Patent number: 7832192
Abstract: A system for the atomization of liquid is arranged on the intake duct of a gas turbo set. This atomization system comprises a number of nozzle tubes with atomizer nozzles, switching valves for selective action upon the nozzle tubes by liquid and a pump for conveying the liquid to be atomized. According to the invention, the pump is connected to a variable-speed drive. The switching valves are preferably designed as proportional valves. In a corresponding regulating circuit, this makes it possible to limit pressure gradients in the atomization system and consequently to avoid hammers.

  • Patent number: 7832195
Abstract: Super retard combustion is performed in which an ignition timing is set to be after a compression top dead center and fuel is injected before the ignition timing and after the compression top dead center, at cold start or the like which requires early warming-up of a catalyst. During an idle operation without the super retard combustion, a first ISC control is executed in which a feedback control is provided for the degree of opening of a throttle and the ignition timing so that an engine speed corresponds to a target idle speed (S14). On the other hand, during the super retard combustion, a second ISC control is executed in which the control of the degree of opening of the throttle is inhibited, but the ignition timing is advanced because a catalyst may be thermally damaged when the amount of intake air is increased in accordance with an increase in load of an auxiliary device and the like (S15).
